Happy Birthday for The Flower Challenge

I made a birthday card for a friend using The Flower Challenge #21 - Use a Previous Challenge

After perusing the previous challenges, I chose Challenge #3 - Use an older stamp or die

I used a Sizzix/Hero Arts stamp and die set that I have had for quite a while.  I can't remember when I bought it; it was made in 2011 so I don't think it is available.  I stamped the flower/leaves image in SU Wild Wasabi and also in Cameo Coral.  I stamped the coral flowers twice and then fussy cut them, and shaped the petals, so I could arrange them how I wanted.  I clipped the green leaves image in sections also and rearranged them.  They are mounted with foam tape on a panel cut with Lil' Inker Designs Side Stitched Rectangle die.  I also added a butterfly from the same set and only glued it in the middle after shaping the wings.  The sentiment is from SU Beautiful Birthday (retired).  I stamped the background paper with MFT Diagonal Stripes Background in SU Cameo Coral ink.  The mats are SU Cameo Coral CS.  I added pearls to the flower centers and scattered some tiny pearls around the sentiment and mounted this panel with foam tape also.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday for MFTWSC192

MFTWSC192
My card is for a friend a church.  I made it using this week's MFTWSC#192.
The card base and image panel is MFT Smooth White CS.  The mats are SU Basic Black.  The yellow DSP is from MME Dilly Dally 6x6 pad and the blue check is from Farm House Fair Skies pad.  The red strip is SU Real Red CS.  I stamped the image from MFT Every Day Is A Picnic on X-Press It Blending Card in Mememto Tuxedo Black Ink and colored her with Copics and Promarkers.  I cut her out and mounted on with foam tape on a panel sponged with SU Bashful Blue ink.  I added the grass border with a Fiskars punch.  The sentiment is from MFT Sweet Birthday Wishes.  I masked each word and stamped them separately, than punched it with a circle punch.  It is mounted with foam tape also.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a Wonderful day.

Enjoy The Celebration of You

I hope you have a fabulous birthday.

Today we are having a surprise link up party to celebrate Anne Marie's birthday.  I am excited to be working with her on the current Dynamic Duos Design Team.
I hear she likes pink and girly things so here is my card for Anne Marie.

Since Anne Marie lives in Texas, I thought this Adorable Cowgirl digi image from The Paper Shelter was perfect to say "Howdy" and happy birthday.  I printed her on X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copics and Promarkers.  I cut her out with Spellbinders Classic Ovals and sponged Crumb Cake ink around the edges while still in the die. She is matted with an Early Espresso CS Scalloped Oval and mounted with foam tape.  The DSP is from a page kit by The Paper Studio.  The card base is SU Pretty In Pink CS.  The rope image and sentiment is from MFT's PI-Cowboy and the main sentiment is from MFT's ala mode Big Birthday Wishes, both stamped in Chocolate Chip ink.  I used MFT's Fishtail Flags and Fishtail Flags Layers die-namics to cut out the banners and shaped it with my fingers, added 3 layers of foam tape to the center and then glued the curved parts with Tombow glue.

I hope Anne Marie has a fabulous birthday!
Now head on over to the Dynamic Duos Blog and join the party

Best of the West for The Paper Players

This card is for my grown grandson who loves anything cowboy. He has done some ranch work in the past and is always wearing his cowboy boots and hat.  I know he will love it.  I am playing along with The Paper Players #168 to make a clean and simple masculine birthday card.

The image and sentiment are from My Favorite Things - Inspired by the Wild Wild West and stamped in SU Not Quite Navy ink.  I used 1" and 1-1/4" punches for the sentiment and mounted it with foam tape.  I used MFT Smooth White CS and the DSP is some older Hot Off The Press papers from my stash.  The denim paper is perfect for my card as my grandson is always wearing jeans.
That's it for my CAS card.

Thanks for stopping by.  I appreciate your comments.

Enjoy Your Special Day

MFTWSC142

Here is my card for this week's MFTWSC142.  I used SU Whisper White, Crumb Cake and Basic Black CS.  The DSP is from MME Dolled Up 6x6 pad.  I stamped the dots on the bottom panel from MFT's free set with a $60 order, in Crumb Cake ink on the back of the yellow print paper.  I used sentiments from two MFT stamp sets: LJD Birthday Greetings and LJD On The Line.  I used MFT Circle Stax 1 and 2 for the Shine Brightly and MFT Fishtail Flags and Fishtail Flags Layers for the banner.  I embossed the top part of the Crumb Cake layer with SU Tulip Border EF.

Another Christmas Card

I made another Christmas card with the cute Tilda Angel from Magnolia Stamps - the same image as on yesterday's card.  I had stamped several images so colored her to match the challenge at The Merry Monday Christmas Card Club #73 challenge - use red, green and kraft with a choice of ribbon, twine or burlap.  She is stamped on X-Press It Blending Card with Mememto Tuxedo Black ink, and colored with Copics.  I paper-pieced her dress with a piece of Crumb Cake DSP.  I added distress stickles to her wings, which doesn't show up in the photo.  I cut her out with Spellbinders Classic Ovals and matted her on a Large Scallop Oval.  I inked around the image panel with Crumb Cake ink while it was still in the die.  The tag is punched with a McGill punch and the sentiment is from MFT's Christmas Ornaments set.  I made a small slit around her hand and glued the twine under it - so she would be holding the tag and mounted both with foam tape.  I also wrapped the twine around the red DSP in a criss-cross pattern.
I used SU Riding Hood Red CS for the card base and Crumb Cake (kraft) CS for the mats. The DSP is from Recollections Festivites 6x6 pad.

I am also linking my card to the following:

craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge #140use ink or paint in any way you wish - as little or as much as you like (I inked the edges of the image panel and tag. I also used ink and a blender pen to add shading to the dress and color her stockings)
Craftyhazelnuts Christmas Challenge Extra - anything goes as long as it's Christmas

Thank You For All You Do - MFTWSC 139

MFTWSC139

This is my card using this week's MFTWSC139 sketch.  I turned the sketch sideways as I wanted to use my new stamp set from MFT LJD-Grand Greetings. I love the fonts in this set.  My card will be going in my box for Operation Write Home (they send handmade cards to our service men and women overseas to send home to their families and friends).

My card base is Canvas Corp Heavy White Cardstock.  I used some new SU Coastal Cabana CS and DSP.  The sentiment is stamped in SU Basic Gray ink on X-Press It Blending Card.  I matted it with some gray paper from my stash - I think gray goes with the Coastal Cabana color so well.  I cut the scallop border from Coastal Cabana CS with a die from the new MFT Blueprints 6 Die-namics (love the Blueprints die-namics).  The little banners are cut with MFT Fishtail Flags Layers Stax.  I added a button tied with some SU White Baker's Twine to complete my card.

Thanks for stopping by.  I really appreciate your comments.

You're Appreciated MFTWSC138

MFTWSC138

This is my card using MFTWSC138, unfortunately I didn't get it finished in time to post it before the deadline.  Since it is back to school time, I made a teacher card using MFT ALM-An  Apple For Teacher.  I stamped her in Mememto Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It Blending Card, colored her with Copics and cut her out. I paper-pieced her blouse & skirt with paper from the DCWV Edumacation Stack - all the DSP is from that stack, .  I glued her on the graph paper from the DSP stack, and mounted this panel with foam tape.  The card base is SU Crumb Cake and the mats are SU Basic Black.  I stamped the sentiment in Mememto Tuxedo Black ink on a piece of SU Naturals Ivory from the last card I made.  The little banners at the top are made with MFT Fishtail Flags Layers Stax.   The black border at the bottom is punched with SU Scallop Border punch.  That's it for my card which will be going to one of my granddaughter's teachers this year.

Thanks for stopping by.  I really appreciate your comments.

Crafty Friends Are The Best Friends

MFTWSC134

I made another card with MFTWSC134 using some of my new My Favorite Things goodies:  Modern Moracco Die-namics, Pierced Circle Die-namics and PI-Crafty Friends stamp set.  I also used the Circle Stax 1 and Fishtail Flags Stax and Layers.  The card base and mats are SU River Rock CS, and Whisper White CS for the all the white layers.  I stamped this cute PI image in Mememto Black ink on X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copics.  I paper-pieced her shirt and added some little squiggly lines on her card she is making to look like writing.  I cut her out with the Pierced Circle die, matted her with River Rock and mounted her on my card with foam tape.  I used some of the Ginger Blossoms DSP I had on my table from yesterday's card.  The buttons are from my stash.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set, stamped in Mememto ink and cut out with the Fishtail Flags Stax.  Thanks for stopping by my blog.  I really appreciate your comments.
