Fabulous Birthday for MFTWSC196

This is my card for this week's MFTWSC#196.   I used MFT Layered Rose for my flowers, cut from SU Marina Mist and Bashful Blue CS.  I shaped the petals with my small craft needle nose pliers and added a Recollections Enamel Dot to the center of the flowers.  The leaves are cut from SU Pear Pizzazz CS with MFT Royal Leaves and the edges are inked.  The banner is made with MFT Pierced Fishtail Flags.  I used the new Diamonds & Dots Border to stamp the panel under the banner, which is cut with a Horizontal Stitched Strips die.  The sentiment is from Big Birthday Wishes and stamped in SU Marina Mist ink.  The DSP is from a Martha Stewart Craft Pad.  I used MFT Smooth White CS and SU Marina Mist.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day.

Dynamic Duos - You Are In My Thoughts

Happy Saturday my friends, it is "Subtly Yours" week at the Dynamic Duos with the pretty color combo of Blushing Bride and Sahara Sand.

I used SU Sahara Sand for my card base and the mats, and the strip of Sahara Sand DSP is from the Sweet Sorbet pack (from Sale-a-bration); and Blushing Bride DSP.  The white CS is MFT Sweet Tooth.  The flowers are from MFT LJD Forget Me Not, stamped in Sahara Sand and Blushing Bride ink. I used the matching MFT Forget Me Not die-namics to cut them out. The flowers are mounted with dimensionals.  I used the text stamp from the same set to stamp the background in Blushing Bride ink on an MFT Pierced Circle Stax die-cut,  The mat is cut with MFT Circle Stax 2.  The sentiment is from MFT Clearly Sentimental About Sympathy stamped in Sahara Sand ink and cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 2 die-namics, and mounted with foam dimensionals.
I used MFT Weekly Sketch Challenge #166 for my layout.

Wish Big

Happy Thursday blogging friends.  It is time for a new Seize the Birthday challenge and this week we have a "Toppings" option to include hearts on your birthday project.  Remember it is only an option, you can always skip the option and just make a regular birthday project. I hope you can join us for this challenge.  Looking forward to seeing your creations.
Here's my card:
For my card I used the sketch from our sister challenge Seize the Sketch #13, but rotated it to fit my image.
See the panel my image is mounted on, well I tried a new technique for the current JUGS #227 challenge - inked die-cuts.
There is a video for this technique - Inked Die Cuts by Becca at Amazing Paper Grace. Follow the link for her tutorial.  I used Spellbinders Label 8 die and VersaMagic Pixie Dust Chalk Ink (which matches the Pink Pirouette CS I used).  This was my first time trying this technique and I really like how it turned out.  There are a few very tiny spots that didn't quite get ink, but they aren't that noticeable.
I found these glittered dimensional heart stickers by Momenta on a recent shopping trip and thought they would be perfect for the Seize the Birthday "Toppings" option.  I added them to the balloons and also in the bottom right corner of the die-cut panel.  The paper for the die-cut panel is from MME Follow Your Heart-Be Amazing. The other DSP is from MME Love Me pad.  The card base is MFT Smooth White CS and the mats are SU Pink Piroutte CS.  The little scallop circle is from MFT Blueprints 6 die-namics.  The scallop borders were made with the SU Scallop Border punch.
The sweet image is MFT ala Modes Big Birthday Wishes.  I stamped her on X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copics, then fussy cut her out.  She is mounted with foam dimensionals.  The balloons are paper-pieced with DSP.

Now hop on over to the Seize the Birthday blog and see what wonderful creations my fellow Design Team members have created to inspire you.

You Are The Only One For Me

Happy Friday my blogging friends.  Today I have a card I made for two challenges:
My Favorite Things WSC162 - here's the sketch.
MFTWSC162
And also for Classy Cards 'n Such #16 - Think Pink
Here is my card
The card base and mats are MFT Natural CS. The SU Blushing Bride panel is embossed with Cuttlebug Cross My Heart EF.  All the DSP is from MME Love Me 6x6 pad.  The sentiment is from MFT Lovey Dovey Sentiments stamped in SU Rose Red ink on MFT Smooth White CS and cut out with an MFT Blueprints 3 die, also available at Classy Cards 'n Such, and the mat is cut with a MFT Circle Stax 1 die. I added a cute little heart cut from a Blueprints 8 die, and added some sparkle with the Gelly Roll Stardust Clear Glitter Pen, and then mounted it with foam dimensionals.
The banners are cut with MFT Fishtail Flags Stax and Fishtail Flags Layers Stax.  I used 1/4" Scor-tape to adhere my papers & CS.

Thanks for stopping by.

A Very Merry Christmas To You

Happy Tuesday morning my blogging friends.   I have several new followers and I wanted to say welcome and thanks for following my blog, and thank you to all my followers.
Today I have a card made with MFTWSC149.  Here is the sketch: MFTWSC149
And here is my card:
I stamped the sweet image from MFT PI-Happy Christmas on X-Press It Blending Card and color her with Copics and Promarkers.  Her hat and coat are paper-pieced. I sponged some Crumb Cake ink around the edges for a little shading.  I also used my white gel pen on the tips of the tree branches.  I cut her out and mounted her with foam tape.  The DSP is from MME Christmas Wish 6x6 pad.  The card base and center mat are SU Crumb Cake CS.  I used MFT Smooth White CS for the large mat, the snow drift and snowflakes.  I tore the edge of the snow and bent the edges with my fingers to give it a little texture.  The sentiment is from MFT's LJD-Stitched Stockings.  I layered the MS punch snowflake on a Spellinders Create-A-Flake 4 snowflake with a foam dimensional and added a button to finish the snowflake.  I placed it on the opposite side from the sketch as it didn't fit on the left side with the image.  I also machine stitched around two of the mats.  The light blue mat is cut with MFT's Pierced Rectangle Dies.

Warm Winter Wishes

Well it is another soggy, rainy day here in Central Florida, so I am busy stamping away.

I combined the sketch from Seize The Sketch #4  and the Merry Monday #76 snowman challenge for my card today.  The cute snowman is from My Favorite Things - PI Holiday Hugs Snowman. I stamped him with Mememto Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It Blending Card and colored him with Promarkers.  I stamped the tiny snowflakes from Inkadinkado Warm Holiday Wishes in SU Bashful Blue ink and also sponged the ink around the edges.  I added some SU Dazzling Details to the snowflakes and they really sparkle, but it doesn't show up in the photo.  The DSP is from My Mind's Eye Sweater Weather 6x6 pad.  The mats are SU Night of Navy CS and the card base and banner are SU Crumb Cake CS.  The banner is cut with MFT Fishtail Flags Stax die-namics.  The sentiment from the snowman set is stamped in Night of Navy ink.  The Night of Navy snowflake is from a Martha Stewart punch and I added a rhinestone to the center for extra sparkle.  The main image panel is mounted with foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by.  I appreciate your comments.
