The Flower Challenge - Use Gold

Hello Friends.  I am working on Christmas cards and have one to share at The Flower Challenge where they want us to Use Gold.

For my card I used gold foil to cut out the sentiment and to back the top cut out section, which are both from Concord & 9th Festive Corner Cuts Dies.  I was inspired by this card on Pinterest the way Bette used the corner die across the top of the card panel. I love this new set and have used it several times.  The poinsettia is die cut from lt. pink cardstock using SU Poinsettia Petals Stamps & dies (retired) and the leaves from the same set cut from Soft Sea Foam green.  The berry sprigs are from the same set and stamped in Soft Suede ink and the berries in Flirty Flamingo ink.  I added some gold beads to the center of the poinsettia and mounted it with foam tape, then tucked the leaves and sprigs under the bloom.

I am linking to The Christmas Kickstart Challenge also.

A Couple of Christmas Cards

Hello friends.  I have a couple of Christmas cards to share today.

I used the Joy Nativity die from Cottage Cutz on both cards - I love this die and enjoy using it because it is about the true meaning of Christmas.  The first one is cut from copper foil and glued to a white SU Scalloped Contour die cut, then to a mat of the copper foil.  This panel is mounted on pattern paper (SU ret.) which has copper foil stars on it, then matted with a Night of Navy scallop mat (MFT Blueprints 27)..

The second card uses silver foil to cut the Joy die from, although the light is reflecting in it so it doesn't look like silver.  I mounted it to a white mat cut with MFT Rounded Banner Stax die, shortened to the length I needed and mounted with foam tape.. The silver foil pattern paper is from a Christmas pack from Hobby Lobby.  The sentiment is also from an older MFT set cut with a stitched flag die and mounted with foam tape.

Jesus is The Reason for the Season

Hello friends.  I have another Christmas card to share today.  I love making cards that show the true meaning for Christmas.  I made 4 of these cards last night. I was inspired by this card  I saw on Pinterest.

I made a card similar to this before using the same nativity die from Impression Obsession but this one is different.  I die cut the nativity pieces from white and the star from brushed gold.   I used 2 circle dies to die cut the frame and the larger one to cut the background circle.  I then blended Faded Jeans DI.over the circle, keeping it lighter at the bottom.  I then glued the frame and nativity pieces to the blended circle panel and mounted it with foam tape to the background layer embossed with SU Tasteful Textile EF (ret.).  The sentiment is from Jaded Blossoms Christmas Blessings stamp set stamped in Marina Mist ink and die cut with the matching die.  I mounted it with foam tape also.

Pretty Poinsettias Merry Christmas

Hello friends.  I have another Christmas card to share today made with MFT Pretty Poinsettias.   I love the poinsettias and foliage in this set.

I stamped the poinsettias and foliage twice, colored them with Copics, then die cut them with the matching dies.  I arranged them on a white panel die cut with a SU Scalloped Contours die.   I mounted this panel over a piece of SU Real Red Gingham Cottage paper and then to the white card base.. The sentiment from Waffle Flower Essential Sentiments stamp and die set was embossed with Ranger Super Fine Gold Embossing Powder then die cut.  I mounted it with foam tape.  The two poinsettias are also mounted with foam tape.

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #67 - Poinsettias and Posies

Hello friends.  I have a Christmas card with poinsettias that I made for the October Christmas Kickstart Challenge.

I used Spellbinders Holiday Blooms for all the die cuts, poinsettias from Real Red, leaves from Pear Pizzazz and pine branches from white.  The sentiment from Waffle Flower Essential Sentiments is embossed in gold and cut with a stitched oval die.  The navy pattern paper is from SU Abstract Beauty (retired).  It already had the gold splatters on it and I embossed it with my new Spellbinders Circle Illusion 3D EF.  I sponged navy ink on the raised areas to highlight them more.  The sentiment and poinsettias are mounted with foam tape..  I am very happy with the final result.

Last Christmas Card for 2021

Hello friends.  I have one last Christmas card to share today.

ETA:  My card was chosen as one of the runner-ups at the Color Hues.

I used PTI Bold Borders Yuletide Die and the new Into the Blooms Dahlia die.  I die cut both from white and layered the Dahlia and added red rhinestones to the center.  I mounted these on Evening Evergreen pattern paper from SU Tidings of Christmas 6x6 pack.  The sentiment is from Waffle Flower Essential Sentiments stamp & die set.  I stamped it in Real Red ink and then die cut with the matching die.

I made this one using the Color Hues Challenge of red and green.

Last Christmas Cards

Hello friends.  I am sharing my last Christmas cards for 2020.  These are made for my 3 great-granddaughters.  They are made with the gift card pocket on the inside front panel but I will be putting money in them. 😀

These cute little elves are from CC Designs.  I had to copy and resize them on my printer to fit the die-cut mats, which are cut with my Cricut, then fussy cut the elves out.   The elves are mounted with foam tape.  The candy stripe paper is by The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby).  The corners of the inside white mat are punched with a SU punch.

I will link to Christmas Kickstart Challenge #45 - If It's Christmassy, Link it Up!.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day and I wish you all a very happy and MERRY CHRISTMAS, and a safe and healthy NEW YEAR.
