Seize the Birthday - Red as the Main Color

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and I chose the "topping" to Use Red as the Main Color.  I thought it was perfect for a February challenge.  I hope you have fun playing in this challenge.

I have a lot of red on my card and of course flowers.  I used Impression Obsession Dotted Argyle background stamp and stamped it in SU Real Red, and then matted it with a Real Red mat.  The pretty blooms are from SU Two-toned Flora which is a 2 step stamp.  I stamped the detail image in Real Red and then for the full image I stamped in Real Red but stamped off once before stamping over the detailed image.  The leaves from the same set are stamped in Gumball Green.  I used the matching dies to cut both the blooms and the leaves and glued them to a white panel cut with SU Radiating Stitches dies.  I used the next to the largest die but put it back in the die and cut one end to make it smaller.  I wanted more of the lovely background to show. I mounted the panel with foam tape.  The sentiment is from an older SU set and I love the font in it and use it quite often.  I added 3 red rhinestones to finish my card.

Be sure to check out all the Team's cards and our Guest Designers.  I know they will inspire  you.

I will link to the Triple B Challenge with my pretty blooms.

Jesus is The Reason for the Season

Hello friends.  I have another Christmas card to share today.  I love making cards that show the true meaning for Christmas.  I made 4 of these cards last night. I was inspired by this card  I saw on Pinterest.

I made a card similar to this before using the same nativity die from Impression Obsession but this one is different.  I die cut the nativity pieces from white and the star from brushed gold.   I used 2 circle dies to die cut the frame and the larger one to cut the background circle.  I then blended Faded Jeans DI.over the circle, keeping it lighter at the bottom.  I then glued the frame and nativity pieces to the blended circle panel and mounted it with foam tape to the background layer embossed with SU Tasteful Textile EF (ret.).  The sentiment is from Jaded Blossoms Christmas Blessings stamp set stamped in Marina Mist ink and die cut with the matching die.  I mounted it with foam tape also.

Seize the Birthday - Purple, Blue and Green

Hello friends.  We have a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Colleen has chosen the colors, Purple, Blue and Green as our "Toppings" option.

I strayed from my usual floral card and made one with balloons. I  thought it was a good choice for the colors (although flowers would fit perfectly also).  I dug out this older set from MFT( Party Balloons)  and stamped the balloons in Blueberry Bushel, Granny Apple Green and Highland Heather inks, then die cut them with the matching die.  I also stamped the confetti in the same colors.  The balloon strings, stamped in black, and the confetti were stamped on the white panel and then I embossed it with SU Tasteful Textile EF.  I glued the balloons on flat.  The sentiment is cut with an Impression Obsession die set in Highland Heather and Blueberry Bushel.  I die cut 2 sets and layered them for more stability and glued them on the embossed panel.

Be sure to check out all the great cards using these colors by the Design Team over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope to see you in our gallery.

Happy Stamping.

Happy Anniversary

Hello Friends.  I am sharing another anniversary card I made for a couple at church.  I used two challenges to make my card.  Just Us Girls - Photo Week
I used Concord & 9th Plaid Background Stamp in SU Peekaboo Peach ink for the background and mounted it on a black MFT Blueprint 20 scallop die cut.  The heart and the flower image are from Impression Obsession Floral Heart Set.  I colored them with Promarkers and fussy cut them.  They are both mounted with foam tape.  The sentiment is from a Verve set.  I added Studio G Self-Adhesive Gems in black to the flower center and also tiny ones around the sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Another Anniversary Card

I am sharing another anniversary card for a couple at church.  I was inspired by this card I saw on Pinterest (thanks Lin).  I thought it was so pretty and perfect for an anniversary.
SSS June6

The heart and flowers are from Impession Obsession Floral Heart Set and matching dies.  I colored the flowers with Promarkers and used the die to cut them, then mounted them with foam tape to the die cut heart.  The yellow paper is from a Recollections 6x6 pad.  I used a Spellbinders die to cut the curved scallop edge.  The sentiment is from Verve Love Story.  I embossed the bottom of the white panel with an older impression plate and then added a few yellow sequins from my stash.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

25 Days of Christmas Tags

I just found Tracey McNeely"s challenge for 25 Days of Christmas Tags.
They are on Day 10 but this is my first tag.  I was inspired by Birgit's lovely tag on Day 2.

I used my new  Poppystamps Main Street Stitched Tag; Cottage Cutz Christmas Cheer Candles die; and Impression Obsession Peace die.  I cut the largest tag die out of gold foil cardstock and the next size down out of white cardstock.  The candles are cut from various cardstocks.  I added red pearls to the holly leaves.  I really like how the tag turned out.

I hope I can create more tags for Tracey's challenge.  You can check out all the details and play along here.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Merry Christmas

This is my card for the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge #178 - Red & Gold.  I used SU Cherry Cobbler and Coredinations Heavy White CS.  I stamped Heartfelt Creations Sparkling Poinsettia in Versamark on Cherry Cobbler and embossed it with Ranger Gold Detail embossing powder.  I cut it using the matching Sparkling Poinsettia dies.  I shaped the petals and layered them, then added a Gold Glitter Gemstone by The Paper Studio.  The Merry Christmas is a die by Impression Obsession and cut from Gold Glitzy paper by DCWV.  The white panel is embossed with a folder I borrowed from my friend and I don't remember the name of it.  I think it is by Cuttlebug.  The gold scallop mat is cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 20.

I am also linking my card to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes

Christmas Card Challenges #37 - Color Inspiration

Good morning friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges and this week we have a photo challenge for you.

I love making mostly white cards and this week's photo challenge is perfect for this.  I used MFT Natural  and Smooth White CS.  I stamped the ornaments from SU Ornament Keepsakes in Versamark ink on Natural CS and embossed in white embossing powder.  I hung them with gold twine.  Peace is cut from the Natural CS with a die by Impression Obsession.  The ornaments are mounted with foam tape on the white panel which is embossed with an EF by The Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby.

Now check out all the fabulous cards by my teammates over at Christmas Card Challenges.  I hope you will play along with us.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.
