Birthday Card for a Friend

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card to share today.  I made this one for a friend who's birthday is today.  My daughter and I delivered the card and a small birthday cake to her and she loved it (the card and the cake).

I embossed a panel of SU Shaded Spruce with SU Forever Plaid EF and adhered it to a white card base.  The flowers are cut with Waffle Flower Poinsettia Frame Die which has separate flower dies also. I think they are too pretty to just use as poinsettias at Christmas so I cut them twice from white and blended DOI Festive Berries in the centers before layering them together. There are 3 sizes of flowers on the one die and also separate leaves that go with the frame die.  I cut the leaves from a lt. green.  The circle is cut with SU Spotlight on Nature dies and the sentiment is from SU Unbounded Love.  After stamping the sentiment, I mounted the circle with foam tape and then added the flowers around the bottom with the leaves glued under the petals.  I added rhinestones to the centers of the flowers to finish off the card.

I will add my card to the Triple B Challenge

and also Darnell's My NBUS as this is the first time I have used this die set.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Special Anniversary Card

Hello friends.  I have a special anniversary card to share today.  This one is for my pastor and his wife who are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this week.

I used an older Poppystamps die  (Floral Cake Pop Up Easel set) from 2019.  I have had it for several years but this is the first time I have used it.  I altered it a little by making it a top fold card.  I cut the die a little over half way and then reinserted it to cut the other half so it would stand up when opened.  The original is like an easel card.  I lightly inked around the middle layer with Purple Posy ink so it would stand out better.  The top layer is in two sections and with the ruffle border, it does look like a cake.  The flowers from the same set were cut from Purple Posy card and layered together.  I inked some of them for a little variation.  The leaves were cut from Pear Pizzazz card.  After gluing the flowers and leaves on, I added a golden rhinestone to the centers of the flowers.  I stamped the sentiment (Verve) in Highland Heather ink.  I blended Purple Posy ink on a scrap of Purple Posy card and die cut the 50 with some older number dies by Momenta.  I really like the finished card and will have to use this die set again.

I will link to Triple B Challenge - Birds, Blooms, Butterflies

A New Anniversary Card

Hello friends.  I have a new anniversary card to share today. I have 6 to make for March. I used a new stamp set SU Enduring Beauty.  I was inspired this card on Pinterest that showed this large image split in half and wanted to give it a try.  I was pleased with the final result. I changed the colors and layout.

This bundle has the stamp set, dies and masks (stencils).  I thought about coloring with markers but used the masks with Regal Rose and Granny Apple Green inks and my blending brushes.  I cut the image in  half and mounted them to a white panel embossed with SU Hatchmark EF (one of the three 3D EF in the SU on-line store).  I added a thin pink mat, then added the panel to the card base.  I stamped the sentiment from SU Celebrating You (ret.) on white strip, added a pink mat and mounted it across the center of the card.  I added two pink rhinestones to finish it off.

I will add this to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time I have used this new stamp set.

Another January Anniversary Card

Hello friends.  I have another anniversary card I am sharing today.  This is the last one for January.

I used my new Spellebinders Optical Arches  EF on the white panel and matted it with a black scallop mat cut with an MFT Blueprints 27 die.  The sentiment is from SU Celebrating You cut with an MFT die as is the black mat.   The flowers are some I had already stamped and laying in my stash of unused items.  I don't remember who they are by.  I had several of them so I colored two with SU Sweet Sorbet and Granny Apple Green Blends.  The originals only have 2 blooms but I colored another one and cut one of the blooms to make it fuller.  I mounted the flowers and sentiment with foam tape.

I will link to Darnell's NBUS challenge as this is the first time I have used this EF.

Happy Birthday with Sparkle

Hello friends.  I have a new birthday card to share today. I made this one for The Flower Challenge - Add Sparkle.

I used Elizabeth Craft Designs Florals 7 for the flowers and leaves.  The flowers are cut from white and I blended Blushing Bride ink in the centers and layered them together.  I added sparkly gems to the centers.  The leaves are cut from Pear Pizzazz card and I  inked the edges with Pear Pizzazz ink.  The white panel is embossed with my new Altenew Waffled Diamonds EF and mounted on a piece of pink dotted paper from my stash.  The sentiment from Stampendous Brushed Messages is embossed with silver embossing powder, and die cut with a stitched oval die.  I mounted the sentiment with foam tape.  The flowers are glued only in the center and the leaves glued under the petals.

This photo shows the sparkle from the embossing and the pretty gems (from Hobby Lobby).

I will also link to Darnell's MYNBUS as this is the first time I have used the Altenew EF.
