This is the Day for FMS

Hello friends.  I am getting my card finished just in time to link to the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

This is the first time I have used the Papertrey Ink January Psalms and Love to Layer: Decorative Bracket and I love the way it turned out. I added two tiny flowers from Spellbinders Petite Floral Potpourri cut in coral cardstock and green for the leaves.  I added two small gold brads to the centers and mounted the sentiment frame and flowers with foam tape.  The lt. green pattern paper has a faint pattern that didn't show up well, so I embossed it with SU Tasteful Textile EF (ret.).

I will also link to Darnell's NBUS as this the first time using these stamps & dies.

JOY Christmas Card

Hello friends.  I am working on Christmas cards and have a new one to share today.

I embossed a white panel with my new Hexi Snowflake EF from Spellbinders and then die cut some white poinsettias from Spellbinders Holiday Blooms.  I layered the poinsettias and added 3 clear rhinestones to the center of each one.  The greenery is also from the same die set cut from a Recollections green card pack.  I mounted the poinsettias with foam tape and glued the greenery under the edges.  I used The Greetery Abundant Joy die to cut the sentiment from white and green, then mounted it with foam tape.  I really like the finished card and will be making more of them, maybe in red and white.

Seize the Birthday - Stripes

Hello friends.  There is a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Linda has chosen "Stripes" as our topping option this time.

For my card I used MFT Bold Blooms for the flower & leaves.  I die cut the flowers, layered them and added a gem from Queen & Co. to the center.  The leaves are cut from SU Pear Pizzazz.  The striped paper is an old one from my stash by American Crafts.  The swirly design was the bottom strip on the paper and I almost threw it away, but thought it would make a great design element on my card, so I glued it below the flower.  The sentiment from The Greetery Balloon Bouquet is stamped on an oval die cut and mounted with foam tape.

There is lots of inspiration from the team and our Party Guests over at Seize the Birthday.  Hope to see you in our gallery.

Thinking of You

Hello Friends.  This is my second post today, scroll down for my Color Throwdown #810 post.

I made this card for a friend that just got out of the hospital after major surgery.

I used Rusty Hinge DOI and inked a piece of off-white card to die cut Spellbinders Sunflower Serenade 4 times and then layered them.  The center pieces were cut from SU Soft Suede and Crumb Cake.  The leaves and stems are cut from SU Shaded Spruce.  I embossed a panel of off-white card using Spellbinders Diamond Plaid EF, then mounted it to a Crumb Cake panel and then to the card base. I glued the sunflowers to the bottom section of the card, cutting the stem a little shorter on one of the flowers..  The sentiment from SU Layered Leaves is stamped in black on a stitched oval and mounted with foam tape.

I am linking to the Color Hues Challenge as I used their current colors to create my card.

Color Throwdown #810

Hello friends.  I am excited to be guesting with Color Throwdown #810 today.  Here are their colors for this challenge - Brick Red, Terracotta & Green.

I used Fired Brick Distress Ink to ink a panel of white card for the mat and die cut the Memory Box Happy Birthday Debut Script die from it.  I then stamped a white panel with the Fired Brick ink and Altenew Chocolate Flowers background stamp.  I die cut Papertrey Ink: Into the Blooms Dahlia from some Recollections card, the closest to Terracotta I had.  I layered the Dahlia and added the center which is punched from a piece of the inked card; I shaped the circle and added it with a little foam tape.  I mounted this to the bottom left corner of the panel.  The die cut green leaves are also from the Dahlia die set and glued under the edge of the petals.  I die cut an extra white birthday sentiment and layered them for a little dimension and then glued it to the top of the stamped panel.

Be sure to check out all the fabulous cards by the Team over at Color Throwdown and join in this fun challenge.  Thanks again to Color Throwdown for having me as a guest designer.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Birthday Card for Color Throwdown #809

Hello friends.  This is my last minute card for The Color Throwdown Challenge #809.

I had to think of how I was going to use these colors together but I like my finished card.  I used Spellbinders Teal Topaz for the flower cut with MFT Bold Blooms dies.   I cut 2 of the large flowers and layered them together, then added a Queen & Co. Gem to the center.  The leaves are cut from SU Granny Apple Green.  Memory Box Happy Birthday Pash Script die was cut from SU Highland Heather (base) and white. also the mat is Highland Heather.  The white panel is embossed with a new SU EF - Forever Plaid.  Now, I am off to link up over at The Color Throwdown.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Birthday Card for a Dear Friend

Hello friends.  I made a birthday card for a dear friend.  I was inspired by this card I saw on Pinterest.  I love the colors and the design and this is the card I made using different dies.

I used Worn Lipstick and Fossilized Amber DOI for the blended panel and then embossed it with Spellbinders Argyle Plaid EF.  I lightly sanded the raised areas so the the white would show.  For the flowers I used Simon Says Stamp Aurora Blooms Dies to die cut from white.  I blended the same DOI inks in the center of each flower and then layered them together.  The spiky center is from a Memory Box die set.  I shaped the flower petals and glued them to the panel and then to the card base. The leaves from the SSS set was die cut from a light green and glued under the petal edges.  The sentiment is from an older SU set die cut with a stitched rectangle die and then glued on.

I am linking my card to the Triple B Challenge

Roses for The Flower Challenge

Hello friends.  I have a new birthday card to share today.  I made this one for The Flower Challenge where they are wanting stamped flowers.

I stamped the roses from Elizabeth Craft Designs Gratitude set in black ink and colored it with SU Lt. Pretty in Pink and Lt. Flirty Flamingo Blends, and the leaves in Granny Apple Green Blends.  I die cut the image with the matching dies.  I have had this set for quite awhile and this is the first time I have used it, I definitely will be using it more.  I mounted a lt. gray panel to the white card base and then added a trellis die cut from a retired SU set.  The sentiment is from Penny Black Super Day stamped on a die cut circle.  I mounted the roses and the sentiment with foam tape and my card was done.

I will also link this to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time using this set.
