Wedding Wishes

Hello friends.  Today I have a wedding card to share.

I had the trellis frame already cut twice with my Silhouette and layered it for for sturdiness, then mounted to a white card base.  I wanted to use my new Memory Box dies, Layered Fresh Flowers, so I die cut them several times in white,  and then layered the blooms.  I used the blue card to die cut the centers and then added a clear rhinestone to each flower.  The leaves are die cut with an older SU set.  The sentiment from a Verve set is heat embossed in white. I am pleased with the final result.  I think the lt. blue and white color combo make a lovely wedding card.

I will link to Memory Box Challenge - Feeling Blue.  June is the perfect time for weddings and blue is a good color.

Seize the Birthday - Nautical

Hello friends.  We have a new challenge for you at Seize the Birthday and we also have a new Surprise Party Guest  - Melanie Hungerford.  Lindsey has chosen our "Topping" option this time and she would like our cards to be "nautical", of course the only requirement is that is has to be birthday.

I sponged the background with SU Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, a little Dapper Denim and Bashful Blue for the sky.  I masked a couple of small cloud die cuts before blending the sky.  I used SU Sailing Home to stamp the boats and sea gulls. The waves are from an Avery Elle set.  I die cut the boats, added a little color and glued them on.  The sentiment is from SU Art Gallery.

Be sure to check out all the great cards by the team over at Seize the Birthday and join in our fun challenge.  Hope to see you in our gallery.

Congrats Grad

Hello friends.   I have a graduation card to share today.

The school colors are royal blue and white so I used SU Pacific Point.  The graduation hat is cut with my Silhouette and the letters and numbers are cut with SU Playful Alphabet.  The Congrats is from an older SU set.  I drew the diplomal and fussy cut it.  I added gold thread around it.  The white panel is embossed with SU Subtle EF and the scalloped blue mat is cut with an MFT Blueprints 27 die.  I mounted the hat and diploma with foam tape.

Anniversary Card

Hello friends.  I have an anniversary card to share today.  I CASE myself on this one with this card I made a few years ago. I love the layout and border die I used so wanted to make another one.  I used different colors on this one.

The lace border die is by Altenew and the pale green cardstock is from my stash.  The flowers are Clearly Besotted Perfect Peonies.  I stamped and die cut the image with the matching die and then colored it with SU Pink Pirouette and Mint Macaron Blends.  The sentiment is an older Stampabilities stamp and stamped in Just Jade ink.  I added 3 little heart enamel dots by Doodlebug Designs.

and also to the Retro Rubber Challenge - Anything Goes.  The flowers stamp is older than 3 years and the sentiment is from 2005.

Congratulations

Hello friends and happy Friday.  I have two graduation cards to share today.

I used an older stamp from Taylored Expressions that I have had for several years.

This one is for my granddaughter who graduated this week.  Her school colors are black & red. I stamped the image and colored with Copics, then die cut with a stitched rectangle die. The pattern paper is from my stash and I matted with black.  The sentiment is from an older SU set.  I also added some red sequins for a little bling.

This one is for my great-granddaughter who is graduating in two weeks.  Her school colors are blue & white.  Her hair is blonde, so I colored the image to match.  I used the same supplies and added gold sequins to her card.

Seize the Birthday - Wheels

Hello friends and happy Thursday.  We have a new challenge for you at Seize the Birthday and for our "Toppings" option this time, Shirley would like to see wheels on our cards.

I used this image from MFT PI I Wheelie LIke You.  I colored her with Copics and then fussy cut her out.  I made the background by sponging lt. blue and lt. green inks, then stamped the grass.  I mounted her  with foam foam tape and added a small butterfly from a SU set.  I masked parts of several sentiments to stamp my greeting and then cut them individually and glued them on.

This card will go to one of my great-granddaughters for their birthday later this year.

You should check all the different ideas the team came up with over at Seize the Birthday.  Hope you join in our fun challenge.

Happy Anniversary

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing another anniversary card I made for friends at church.

I used a new stamp and die set from Pink & Main called Always.  I love this pretty floral heart.  I stamped it twice and fussy cut the flowers and leaves, colored them with Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green Blends, and then added them to the full die cut with foam tape.  I blended some lt. blue ink over the heart section and then stamped the sentiment from SU Many Mates.  I added 3 small clear rhinestones for a little bling.  The stripe paper is from my stash.  I added it over a scallop die cut border and a white panel embossed with the Basket Weave EF.  I added it to a white card base and then mounted the heart die cut with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Birthday Wishes

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card for a good friend I am sharing today.  I made my card for two challenges.

I used this pretty flower spray from Clearly Besotted Beautiful Friend.  I stamped it twice, colored it with SU Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green Blends.  I fussy cut both images and layered them over the curve of the PTI Hawaiian Shores dotted paper, (I hope the curve is visible enough for the sketch challenge). This is mounted on a white panel embossed with an older Quickutz Polka Dots EF.  The flowers are mounted with foam tape.  The sentiment from SU Fancy Phrases is stamped on a punched label and mounted with foam tape.

Happy Birthday for Color Hues

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card I made for a friend using the colors at the Color Hues challenge.

For the flower and leaves I used my new Altenew Book Engravings Stamp and Die set.  The flowers are 3 layers but I only used two, the outline (Gorgeous Grape ink) and the first fill layer (Highland Heather).  I stamped the fill layer off once for the darker flower and twice for the lighter flower.  The leaves are stamped in Bermuda Bay ink and I stamped the fill layer off twice and then blended a little with my Blender Pen.  I used a Tim Holtz die on the white panel, stamped the sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink and then embossed it with the Subtle EF for a little texture.  I placed the panel over a layer of Bermuda Bay Ombre paper and then mounted it on the card base.  I mounted the flowers and leaves with foam tape.

I will also link to MY NBUS May challenge.

I will also link to The Flower Challenge - Use your favorite flower.  This is my favorite right now.  I love all flowers and I love the way this stamps.

Pink Birthday Card

Hello friends.  I have a new birthday card to share today.

I have had these images on my desk for awhile and can't remember where I got them but I colored this pretty branch of flowers and then fussy cut it.  I used SU Flirty Flamingo and Soft Suede Blends to color with.  I mounted it with foam tape to a white panel embossed with SU Tufted EF.  I then mounted the panel to a thin Soft Suede mat.and to a card base of Flirty Flamingo.  I stamped the sentiment in Soft Suede ink on a die cut circle and added it to ascalloped Soft Suede circle.  I mounted this with foam tape also and then added 3 pink rhinestones for a little bling.

A Bouquet for Seize the Birthday

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time Colleen would like us to make a bouquet on our cards

For my card I used my new MFT Freshly Picked Bouquet stamps and matching die.  I colored the flowers with SU Blends - Daffodil Delight, Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green and Soft Suede for the flower centers.  After die cutting the image I placed it on a panel embossed with an older PTI  Cover Plate die..  The sentiment is from SU Art Gallery stamp set.

I am also linking to The Flower Challenge. - use your favorite flower.  This is my favorite flower right now.  I love this new set.  I have so many flower stamps and dies, I can't just pick one.

Happy Birthday for Color Hues #17 and The Paper Players

Hello friends.  I had to think of what I wanted to do for Color Hues red & orange challenge.  I thought about flowers and which ones I could use but I couldn't decide on any of them.  I decided to use this cute teddy and balloons from Simon Say Stamp Party Like a Panda.

ETA: Yea, my card was chosen as one of the Cuts Above at The Paper Players.

I stamped all the images then cut them with the matching dies.  I colored them with SU Poppy Parade and Pumpkin Pie Blends.  I did use a very lt. Crumb Cake touch for the party horn but it is considered a neutral.  I embossed the panel with SU Brick & Mortar EF and mounted it on a Lawn Fawn Fancy Scalloped Frame die cut.  I mounted the images with foam tape and stamped Birthday in black and fussy cut around it and added foam tape to the right side only and glue to the part over the balloon strings.  I was really pleased with the final result.  It will be going to a little one at church.

I will link to The Paper Players theme challenge - Cards for Boys.
