Hello friends and happy Thursday. It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Jules is our host this time. She has chosen Stripe it Up for out "toppings" option. Remember it is an option and the only requirement is that has to be for a birthday.
I used MFT Bold Stripes Cover Plate cut from white card and mounted it to a Sahara Sand card base. The flowers are from MFT Wildflowers stamp and die set (discontinued). I colored them with SU Soft Suede (centers of flowers) Calypso Coral and Granny Apple Green Blends, die cut them and arranged them on the bottom of the card. The flowers are mounted with foam tape and the leaves are glued under them. The sentiment is stamped on one of the stripes of the die cut.
Be sure to check out all the great cards with stripes by the design team over at Seize the Birthday. I hope to see you in our gallery.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.
Happy Stamping,
JoAnn
YOu and I had the same idea of the stripped background. I love your soft sane base with those lucious wild flowers on the white stripes.
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty flowers on your "fence" background, JoAnn!
ReplyDeleteIt amazes me how adding an interesting background on a card can really make it come to life. I think I have that cover-plate too, but didn't think to use it. Love your orange flowers so very much!
