Wedding Album

Hello friends.  I am sharing a wedding album I made for a couple at church. I hope you don't mind scrolling through the photos as there are quite a few,  The album is 8 1/2 by 6 1/2 and I used papers from several different paper pads. The flowers and leaves are made with Heartfelt Creations Ariana Blooms stamps and dies.  I used SU Merry Merlot ink as burgundy is one of her wedding colors. I am entering this at The Flower Challenge - Anything Goes.  I read the rules and didn't read anything that says it specifically has to be a card.
On the cover I also used a Spellbinders die and SU Heirloom Frames Dies & Embossing Folder and mounted the frame with foam tape.

JUGS - Stacking Die Cuts

Hello friends.  I have an anniversary card I made for friends using the Just Us Girls Challenge - Stacking Die Cuts.  I finished my card just in the nick of time.
I used the cute Stitched Posies dies by Lil' Inker Designs and extra leaves by Impression Obsession.  I die cut the flowers in MFT Summer Splash and Tropical Teal card and stacked them together with a small pearl in the centers.  The leaves are die cut from SU Pear Pizzazz and Wild Wasabi.  The pretty die cut frame is my new die by Poppy Stamps.  I embossed the larger panel with SU Tufted EF (love this EF) .  I die cut it and added foam tape to the outside layer and added that to a Summer Splash panel stamped with the Mesh Background stamp by MFT.  I than glued the center panel flat and stamped with Stampendous Happy Anniversary.  I also added 3 small pearls to that panel.  So, the frame panel is stacked and the flowers are stack.  I really like how the card turned out.

I am also adding this to The Flower Challenge - Anything Goes.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

CAS Mix Up - Inchies

Hello friends.  I have a card for the CAS Mix Up Challenge - Inchies to share with you today.
I used stamping, coloring, dry embossing and texture.
I have never used such small stamps before but wanted to give it a try.  I first cut 4 one inch squares and then stamped these cute images from Cottage Cutz Snow Fun.  The set was a gift from a friend.  I colored them with markers, sponged some light blue ink around the 3 sides and then added a tiny bit of Snow Texture Paste to the bottoms. I think they turned out so cute.  I matted them with a thin red mat and added them with foam tape to a panel that was partially embossed with SU Softly Falling EF.  I stamped the sentiment in SU Real Red with a Verve stamp, added a thin red mat and then added the panel to my card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - It's Just A Number

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time Colleen would like us to use numbers on our cards.  It is just an option and the only requirement is that it has to be a birthday project.
We are also welcoming a new Surprise Party Guest and it is Annie, from Pawsitive Thoughts by AnnieBe sure to stop by Annie's blog and show her some love.
For my card I used an older embossing folder by Cuttlebug that has numbers all over for the white panel, then added some pattern paper from an older Colorbok 6x6 pad.  I matted that panel with a red mat and added die cut flowers using MFT Stitched Flowers to match the colors in the pattern paper.  I also added some jewel enamel dots to the centers of the flowers.  The oval panel and mat are cut with SU Layered Ovals dies.  The sentiment is from SU Simply Sketched (retried).

Be sure to check out all the fabulous cards by our guest and design team at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will join us for this fun challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday for a friend

First I would like to send out prayers for the people in the Bahamas that have been going through this monstrous hurricane, and also for the people along the eastern coast of the US.  I pray Dorian stays out in the ocean and away from the US.  We are only expecting winds and rain bands from the hurricane where I live, which is about 100 miles inland from the east coast of Florida.

My layout is similar to today's Mojo Monday sketch on Julee's blog so I am linking it there.
This is a birthday card I made for friend at church.  I stamped the truck from SU Farmhouse Christmas (retired) and masked the tree in the back of the truck.  I colored it with a pale gray as he has a lt. gray truck.  I created the scene with inks, an old grass stamp. and the trees from SU Rustic Retreat. The sentiment is from the same set. I stamped it on a blue panel cut with SU Stitched Rectangles.  The pattern paper is from my stash and I added black mats to make it stand out.  I also added 3 small black enamel dots under the image panel.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Square Card

Happy Thursday friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time Glenda would like us to make a square card.
I made this card for my great-grandson who's birthday is tomorrow.  I hope he likes it.  I used these cute animals from MFT Sending Sweet Birthday Wishes along with the matching dies.  I stamped and colored the images with Promarkers and then die cut them.  They are mounted with foam tape on a panel that I blended DOI Bundled Sage and Salty Ocean.  The mat is SU Marina Mist.  The sentiment is from the same same stamp set.  The card is 4-1/2" square.

Now check out all the fabulous cards by my teammates over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will join us in this fun challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

CAS Watercolor - Colorful Butterflies

Hello friends.  I am sharing a card I made for the CAS Watercolor Challenge - Colorful Butterflies.   I am just getting in before the deadline.

I used this pretty Dream Butterfly die by PoppyStamps that I won on Darnell's blog in the past.  This is the first time I have used it - thank you Darnell.  I made a watercolor section on Canson Mix Media paper with my Gansai Watercolors and then die cut the butterfly from that.  I used different colors to make the butterfly colorful and pretty. :)  I glued the die cut on vellum and fussy cut it out.  I added the body die cut from a Verve die and the sentiment from the matching stamp set.  I think the sentiment is perfect as God makes so many beautiful and colorful butterflies.

After I stamped the sentiment on the white panel I ran it through the Big Shot with the Subtle EF from SU.  The pattern paper is some older SU paper and I added a thin black mat.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I really appreciate your comments.
I hope you have a wonderful day.

CAS Mix Up - Paper towel

I finally tried the paper towel technique for the CAS Mix Up Challenge. This is a fun technique to try.  I used the paper towel technique, die cutting and stamping.

Yea, This card was one of the Outstanding Design picks at CAS Mix Up Challenge.
I was trying some spray mists I have had for ages and had wiped some up with this paper towel and started to throw it away, when I remembered the paper towel challenge over at CAS Mix Up so gave it a try.  The paper towel was wet so I just laid it on some Bristol Smooth card and pressed it down and this is what I came up with.  You can still see the texture imprint from the paper towel.  I will have to try this technique again.

I used MFT Rectangle Peek-a-boo Window to cut out the center of my white panel, cut with a SU Stitched Rectangle die, and placed the inked piece behind it.  I die cut Memory Box Glorius Floral Stem from white card and added it with foam tape for more dimension.  The sentiment is from SU Beautiful Bouquet stamped in Melon Mambo to match the color of the inked panel.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,

CAS Christmas Challenge - Glitter

Hello friends. Today I have a card for the CAS Christmas Challenge - Glitter.
CAS Christmas Challenge - Glitter
Yea, my card was one of the Outstanding Designs at CAS Christmas card challenge.
For my card I used SU Delicate Ornaments dies (retired) cut from Gold Glitter and white glitter CS.  I cut the ornament tops from gold foil and silver foil, along with the bows from Memory Box Prescious Hearts dies.  The tree branches are cut from green glitz paper and Memory Box Pine Needle Border die.  I added these to the white panel embossed with SU Pinewood Planks EF.  I sprayed this panel with a mixture of alcohol and gold shimmer paint for a little more glittery shine - it is so pretty in person, but doesn't show up in the photo.  The sentiment is a Verve stamp.  I flagged the ends and mounted it with foam tape.

I will share my card over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Clean and Simple.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Your comments are greatly appreciated.
I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday for a friend

Today I am sharing a card I made for a friend.  Can you tell her favorite color is purple?
I love this pretty flower from Gina K Designs Grateful Heart and have used it quite a few times.  I colored it with SU Highland Heather Blends and Granny Apple Green Blends for the leaves. I added Wink of Stella to the flowers for a little sparkle - it shows up in the photo below.
I added the flowers to a die cut oval with the sentiment form SU Beautiful Bouquet, matted with a black scallop oval.  Added 3 small pearls and mounted the oval with foam tape.  The pattern paper is Highland Heather from SU Subtles. The top white section is embossed with SU Basket Weave EF.

I will link this to The Flower Challenge #35 - use your favorite flower, as this is one of my many favorite flower sets.  I love making floral cards.

Thanks so much for stopping by, your comments are greatly appreciated. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Butterflies

Hello friends and happy Thursday.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time Barbara wants us to add butterflies to our birthday project.  Remember it is our "Topping" option and the only requirement is that it be for a birthday.
I used MFT Beautiful Butterflies stamps and matching dies (discontinued), All Lined Up Background stamp, and Tropical Teal ink and cardstock.  The butterflies are a 2 step stamp and after stamping the outline in black, I stamped the next layer in Tropical Teal, stamped off once for a lighter shade.  I added small clear rhinestones to the bodies and glued the center down.  The sentiment is from SU Magnolia Blooms and is stamped on a die cut from SU Stitched Labels die and mounted with foam tape.

I will link this up to MFT Camp Create Day 4 - monochromatic

Now check out all the fabulous cards by the designers over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will join us for this fun challenge.

Just Us Girls Challenge #500 - Circles

Today I am sharing a card I made for the Just Us Girls Challenge #500 - Circles. Wow, #500, that is a lot of challenges and a huge milestone.  Congratulations to JUGS.
When I saw the challenge, the first thing I thought of was the circles stamps in SU Beauty Abounds so I stamped them in Blushing Bride ink to make the background. I matted this panel with Blushing Bride CS.   I die cut the decorative band from SU Band Together in Champagne foil and then from white for the center.  The sentiment is also from the same set.  I stamped the medium flower from SU Daisy Lane set in Blushing Bride ink and punched it with the matching punch.  I added a clear gold faceted gem to the center.  The leaves are die cut from the Wonderful Romance die set.

I love the Daisy Lane flower set so I am going to link to The Flower Challenge - use your favorite flower.  (I have so many favorite flowers as that my favorite kind of card to make)

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.
