Happy Anniversary

Hello friends.  I have another anniversary card to share today.  I used the same dies on this card that I used for the birthday card yesterday, but used different colors.  While I had them out I decided to make an anniversary car which is for a couple at church..
I used the same trellis and scallop frame dies from Spellbinders and Houseplants by Altenew.  I used a different flower from the die set, cutting six from SU Daffodil Delight and layering them together.  I did blend SU Crushed Curry ink in the centers first and added a white enamel dot that I colored with a brown Copic marker.  The leaves are cut from SU Granny Apple Green.  The lattice die cut is mounted on a panel of SU Evening Evergreen (ret).  The sentiment from a retired SU set is stamped in SU Peaceful Pine, one of their new In-Colors.

I will share this over at Darnell's IDEAS as it is die week and I used several dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,
JoAnn

Color Throwdown #840

Hello friends.  I saw the colors at Color Throwdown #840 and of course thought of flowers so I had to make a card using those colors.

I cut a white panel using Pinkfresh Studio Sparkling Diamonds Cover Plate and glued it to the white card base.  I die cut red and yellow flowers using Spellbinders Garden Wreath Add-Ons with SU Riding Hood Red (ret), Lemon Lolly, and Daffodil Delight.  The leaves were cut from two greens from a Recollection card pack.  I added black die cut centers to the flowers, and yellow centers to the two small flowers.  I tried several different arrangements but liked this one the best.  The middle yellow flower is mounted with foam tape and the rest are just glued down in the centers.  The sentiment is from a Spellbinders Press Plate and die set, then mounted with foam tape.

I will also add this to Darnell's IDEAS as it is die week and I have used lots of dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Noel for FMS #702

Hello friends.  I am working on getting Christmas cards done and I thought the sketch at FMS would look good with a poinsettia for the circle element and the 2 leaves for the other elements.  This is what I came up with.

ETA:  My card was chosen as one of the Princess cards at FMS.

I embossed a white panel with Spellbinders Holly & Foliage EF and glued it to the white card base.  The poinsettia is made with Concord & 9th Festive Blooms Dies with lt. pink card from my stash.  I blended a little pink ink to the centers.  I just used the individual dies and layered the poinsettia for a fuller bloom.  The leaves are cut with dies from SU Poinsettia Petals (ret.) as is the silver foil center on the poinsettia.  Noel is cut using Simon Hurley Handwritten Holiday Sentiments from Spellbinders.  I cut the top layer from white and the mat from silver foil.  I added little strips of foam for dimension and mounted it. I really like the finished card and may have to make a couple more, maybe with a red poinsettia.

I am linking to Freshly Made Sketches #702.
I will also link to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time I have used these two die sets.

I realized it is Die Week at Darnell's IDEAS so will share this there also.

Happy Birthday for A Few Challenges

Hello friends.  I have a new birthday card to share today.

I used a new set from Gina K. Designs, Flower Medley, for the pretty blooms.  After stamping them in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I colored them with Copic markers and die cut with the matching dies.  I embossed a panel of Pool Party with SU Distressed Tile EF and added it to the white card base.  I then die cut a panel of Lost Lagoon with a stitched rectangle die and white with a smaller stitched rectangle die.  I adhered these two panels together and then adhered them to the card.  I mounted the flowers with foam tape and glued the extra leaves and bud under the edges.  I glued white enamel dots to the centers of the flowers and colored 3 smaller white enamel dots with a Copic marker to match the flowers.  The sentiment is from Gina K. Designs Elegant Thoughts.

and to the Triple B Challenge - Birds, Blooms, Butterflies (didn't use the inspiration board)

I will also add this to Darnell's IDEAS Challenge - Dies.  This is the first time I have joined and need to do it more often.  Thanks Darnell.
