Hello Crafters,
We
are deeply saddened to share the news that we lost our treasured friend
and teammate, Lindsey, last week, following her hard-fought battle with
cancer. Lindsey was well-known for her amazing creativity, witty sense
of humor, and immense capacity to support and encourage her design team
members and challenge participants. The crafting community will miss her
shining light.
Today
The Seize the Birthday Team is playing along with their Sister
Challenge-Color Hues where Lindsey was also a Design Team Member. This
challenge was to be hosted by Lindsey, so the Design Team wants to honor
and celebrate her beautiful, creative life by sharing "Lindsey
Inspired" projects using her Blue and Purple combination, along with
things she loved the most, as inspiration. We hope that you will join us
as we pay tribute to our dear friend and teammate.

*If you are a regular at Color Hues and/or Seize the Birthday you might also know that Lindsey loved Clean and Simple cards too.
We
would love for you to join us and you can find all the details along
with inspiration from both of the Design Teams over at the Color Hues
blog below.
Here is my card to pay tribute to Lindsey. I used flowers on my card as that was one of Lindsey's favorites (and mime too).
I
used Spcllbinders Be Bold Blooms for the flowers and foliage. I
sponged SU Balmy Blue ink in the centers of the large flowers and added a
die cut Balmy Blue small flower to the centers, plus a white enamel dot
to finigh them. The leaves and stems were cut from SU Sahara Sand
(neutral). The small buds were cut from Balmy Blue and layered over a
Highland Heather bud which shows through the small die cut circle in the
bud. The flowers were glued on the white panel, which is die cut with a
Spellbinders Hemstitch Oval and then mounted on a Highland Heather
mat. The foliage were glued under the edges of the flower petals. The
sentiment is from SU Happy Thoughts.
I thought the sentiment was appropriate as we are all thinking of Lindsey. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you will join in this wonderful tribute to Lindsey.
Happy Stamping
