Seize the Birthday - Stencils

Happy Thursday crafty friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday.  Nancy is our host and she would like us to use stencils on our birthday cards.
I used Tim Holtz Splatters stencil and DOI Frayed Burlap for my background panel.  The pretty flowers are from Newton's Nook Peony Blooms with matching dies.  I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with SU Real Red and Granny Apple Green Blends.  I die cut them and then mounted them with foam tape on the white panel which is matted with Real Red card.  The sentiment is from a retired SU set.  I wasn't too sure about the stenciled background but I really like the card, I hope you do also.

I am linking to CAS Stencil - Use a New Stencil. This is a fairly new stencil and this is the first time I have used it.

And also to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge -Use a Stencil.

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to check out all the great cards by my teammates and our Party Guest over at Seize the Birthday.

Happy Stamping,
JoAnn

  2. I love splatter stencils as I often am afraid to splatter on something that I have created. I just bought a splatter stamp. Can't have enough splatter tools. This is an amazing card.

  8. I really like the stencilled background! I also like the idea of a stencil that looks so hand done, if you know what I mean. ;) Beautiful flowers to go with it!
