Christmas Card Challenges #20

Good Morning everyone.  It is time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges and this week we have an Inspiration Photo (cookies) for you.

For my card I used DSP from an older Martha Stewart Frosty Gingerbread pad.  I also cut the gingerbread men from one of the paper sheets, inked the edges and mounted them with foam tape on a piece of SU Naturals Ivory cut with a Spellbinders Label 17 die.  I fussy cut the mat from SU Chocolate Chip.  The sentiment from Inspired by Stamping Festive Frames was stamped in Chocolate Chip ink and cut with a MFT Pierced Fishtail Flags die.  I put it back in the die and cut the other flag end, added 2 homemade enamel dots, sponged the edges and mounted it with foam tape.  The card base is also SU Naturals Ivory.

Be sure and check out all the fabulous creations by my teammates over at Christmas Card Challenges or click on their names below.   I hope you will play along with us this week.

Merry Monday #154 - Vintage Style Christmas Card

The Merry Monday challenge this week is to create a vintage style Christmas card.  I searched on line for some vintage Christmas images and found this one which had a frame around it.  I printed it and cut the image out without the frame and matted it to a Spellbinders Scalloped Oval cut from SU Always Artichoke.  The card base is also Always Artichoke.  The DSP is from Simple Stories Handmade Holiday 6x6 pad.  I cut the sentiment from one of the pages and matted it with SU Basic Black.  The image and sentiment are mounted with foam tape.   I think it made a quick and simple vintage style Christmas card - and no stamping either. :)

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend.

Merry Monday #153 - Angel or Cherub

I was able to get my card done for the Merry Monday #153 challenge - use an angel or cherub on your Christmas card.
This image is a cute free coloring image I found on Pinterest, (Click Here for the link).  I reduced the image and printed her out on X-Press It Blending Card and did a little coloring with my Copics and added shine with the Sakura Clear Glitter Gel Pen.  You can see the glitter a little better in this photo.

I cut her out with a Spellbinders Rectangle and sponged around the edges with SU Bashful Blue ink. The Riding Hood Red mat is cut with a Spellbinders Scallop Rectangle.  The DSP is from Authentique Festive 6x6 pad.  I cut the sentiment panel, the Old Olive Mat and the horizontal red mat with dies from MFT Blueprints 20.  For the red mat, I just got a narrow strip and then put it back in the die to cut the scallops on the bottom edge.  The sentiment from SU Contempo Christmas (retired) is stamped in Old Olive ink. The image and sentiment panels are mounted with foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.  I really appreciate you taking the time to leave me a comment.
Have a Blessed day.

Christmas Card Challenges #29

Good morning friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges.  This week our theme is "Travel" - use a sleigh, reindeer, car, etc. on your card.

I used this cute MFT Sending You a Little Christmas image with her sled.  I stamped her on X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copics, then fussy cut her out.  She is mounted with foam tape on a Spellbinder's Circle, which I embossed the upper portion with a Sizzix EF.  I added a little sidewalk for her to pull her sled on.  The scalloped circle is cut from SU Garden Green CS.  The DSP is from Teresa Collins Candy Cane 6x6 pad.  The mat is MFT Electric Red and the card base is MFT Smooth White.  The sentiment from MFT Cheerful Christmas Greetings is stamped in SU Garden Green ink on a banner cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 20.

Now head over to Christmas Card Challenges and check out all the fabulous cards my fellow teammates have made to inspire you.  I hope you will join us this week.

Sweet Birthday Wishes for Seize the Birthday

Hello my stamping friends.  It is Thursday and time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday.  This time we have the option of making a "Tall and Skinny" card.  Remember, it is an option and the choice is yours.

This is my first "tall & skinny" card and it is 4-1/4 by 7 inches.
For my card I used Recollections cream CS and DSP from a pad by Momenta I got at AC Moore.  The image and sentiment are from MFT Sweet Birthday Wishes.  I stamped her in Mememto Tuxedo Black on X-Press It Blending Card, colored her with Copics and fussy cut her out.  Her dress and hair bow are paper-pieced with some of the DSP.  The sentiment is cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 20.  Both the image and sentiment are mounted with foam tape.

Now check out all the great cards by my teammates over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will be inspired to play along with  us.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Merry Monday #152 Color Challenge

This is my card for the Merry Monday color challenge - use lime, turquoise and white on your Christmas card.  I used SU Tempting Turquoise and Recollections white and lime.  The poinsettia is by Memory Box Poppy Stamps and mounted with foam tape.  I sponged the petals with Tempting Turquoise ink and cut the leaves and center with the lime paper.  I used an older Sizzix embossing folder for the background.  The sentiment is from Verve's Weary World.  I hand cut the banner ends, and mounted it with foam tape also.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Anniversary for My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge

I made an anniversary card for a couple at church using the sketch for MFT Card Challenges #221.  I have several more anniversary and birthday cards to make during April.
The card base is MFT Natural CS and the leaves are cut from MFT Spearmint CS using MFT Leaf-Filled Flourish die.  I used SU Pink Pirouette for the banner, top edge and MFT Upsy Daisy die.  I stamped the white background with MFT Burlap Background in SU Crumb Cake ink and cut it out using a die from MFT Blueprints 22.  I put it back in the die and cut the opposite corner as it only had one rounded corner and the sketch has two.  I added 3 Candi Dots by Craftworkcards in the corner.  The sentiment is from MFT Together Forever set.  I hand cut the banner.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Merry Christmas - Christmas Card Challenges #17

Good morning friends.  It is Sunday and time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges.  It is "Anything Goes"  this week and I am happy to share my card with you.

I used the sketch from Viva la Verve March Week 1 for my card.

The card base is SU Cherry Cobbler, the mats are Basic Black, and the white is X-Press It Blending Card.  The DSP is from Teresa Collins Santa's List 6x6 pad.  The large white panel is embossed with Cuttlebug Holly Ribbons EF.  I used Verve's Light My World (candle & sentiment) and Pinecone Christmas (poinsettia), stamped in Mememto Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics.  I fussy cut the Poinsettia and used MFT Pierced Circle die for the candle image.  I inked the edges with SU Crumb Cake before removing the die.  The mat is cut with MFT Circle Stax 2 die.  The banner and flower are mounted with foam tape.  I added rhinestones to the center of each flower.  That's it for my card.

Happy Christmas for Merry Monday

The challenge this week at Merry Monday is to use a tree on your Christmas card.  I used this cute Daisie's Christmas Tree digi image from Di's Digi Images.  I printed her on X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copics and Promarkers.  I cut her out with Spellbinders Classic Oval (SSS) and matted her with Spellbinders Scallop Oval (SSS).  I sponged Bashful Blue ink around the edges before removing the die.  The green mats are cut from cardstock from a DCWV Christmas Scrapbook Kit In a Stack.  The DSP is from Echo Park's Reflections Christmas 6x6 pad.  The red strip is MFT Electric Red CS.  The sentiment is from MFT's Happy Christmas.  I hand cut the banner ends.  I used a Gelly Roll Clear Glitter pen on the ornaments and the star and mounted the image and sentiment with foam tape.

Happy Birthday to You

Happy Thursday morning friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday.  This week it is "anything goes" as long as it is birthday.

I used the color challenge at Just Us Girls - black & white with your choice of a third color (I chose pink) and the sketch from Viva la Verve, March Week 2.
I used MFT Smooth White and Black Licorice CS, and SU Blushing Bride CS (it matches the DSP better in person).  The pink banner is cut with MFT Pierce Fishtail Flags die.  The flowers are from Verve Grateful Elegance and the matching larger Plain Jane flower (not available).  I inked the petal tips with Blushing Bride ink.  The sentiment is from Verve Birthday to You, cut with MFT Pierced Circle die and Spellbinders Small Scallop Oval die.  The ribbon is from SU.  The DSP is from a really old pack by Making Memories called Sabrina, love the pink & black together (can't believe I haven't used it before now).  I have had the pack of paper doilies by The Little Yellow Bicycle for awhile also.

This is my first time using both of these so I am linking to Darnell's NBUS Challenge #4 (never before used schtuff)

And also Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything goes.
