Hello friends. I have a birthday card for a friend to share today. I was inspired by this card by Angie. I love her sponged background and the way she sanded the raised edges of the embossed panel. I recently got this EF at Hobby Lobby and wanted to create the lovely background so I CASE'd Angie's card (thank you Angie). I used a different sentiment and added some SU Stitched Blooms that coordinate with the colors in the background. I had a third flower laid out but it didn't look right so just went with the two flowers.
The sentiment is from SU Well Written Dies which has been die cut from white and layered on black and then fussy cut. I glued the sentiment down and added foam tape under the flowers.
I will link to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes (as my card is different than Angie's).
I will also link to Time Out Chaallenge - 7th Birthday Celebration.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I appreciate the visit and when you take time to leave a comment.
Happy Stamping,
JoAnn
What a dynamite card. I love it JoAnn
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty background, JoAnn! I love the pastel colors and the plaid embossing! The stitched flowers are so pretty. Sometimes two is enough and three is too many!
ReplyDeleteLove these sweet spring colors, JoAnn! A delightful card!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great look that background gives-such lovely soft colours and really like the mix. And the 2 flowers work perfectly. One lovely card. Thanks for joining Time Out x
ReplyDeleteThis beautiful background with such pretty colors makes these flowers and sentiment one gorgeous card.
ReplyDeleteI love the effect you created by sanding the raised edges - it is the perfect amount of distress on your pretty pastel design! Thanks so much for celebrating with us at TIME OUT! Jill
