Hello friends and welcome to another Seize the Birthday challenge. This time our "Toppings" option is to use a water theme. Remember it is an option and the only requirement is that it has to be a birthday project.
For my card I used MFT Splendid Swans stamps and dies. I colored them with copics and then die cut them. I added them with foam tape to a panel sponged with Distress Inks for the water. I mounted this to an MFT Stitched Mini Scallop Rectangle die cut and mounted that with foam tape. The sentiment is from MFT Pretty Poppies (discontinued).
You should pop over to Seize the Birthday and check out all the great cards by my teammates. I hope you will join us in this fun challenge.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day.
Happy Stamping,
JoAnn
JoAnn, your swan is beautiful surrounded by those cattails and water lilies!
ReplyDeleteWonderful card -- love the framing too
ReplyDeleteLove this swan and the way you've framed it, JoAnn!
ReplyDeleteLovely scene with the regal swan. So impressive and calming card.
ReplyDeleteWow! Such a sweet and elegant card! Love how the addition of just two flower+reed images add so much more detail to the card. Wonderful inspiration, JoAnn!
ReplyDeleteThis card came together perfectly! First the shadows you made under the swan with a white pen are perfect and then those cattails remind me of my childhood home in Cincinnati. One of my favorite cards of yours Joann!
ReplyDeleteJoAnn this is so beautiful. I love the elegant swan, and the delicate scalloped border is the perfect finishing touch to your scene.
ReplyDeleteSweet little swan water scene. Lovely sponging. x
