I used MFTWSC215 for my layout and made a birthday card for a friend.
I saw this technique here on Barbara Anders blog Paper Pursuits. She also has a video tutorial. I love the way it turned out. I used the new MFT Harlequin Stencil and the new Summer Splash ink, inked the stencil and ran it through my Big Shot. I used a die from MFT Blueprints 12 to cut the stitched circle out and stamped the background with MFT Cheesecloth Background and SU Smokey Slate ink. I stamped off first so it would be a soft background. The flower is made with MFT Upsy Daisy dies and Summer Splash CS. I inked the edges of the petals to give it a little dimension, and added a white enamel dot to the center. The leaves are cut from SU Pistachio Pudding and MFT Royal Leaves die. The sentiment from MFT PI Happy Banner is stamped in Summer Splash ink and a banner cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 2. The card base is MFT Smooth White and the side strip is Summer Splash.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.
Happy Stamping,
JoAnn
