Red & Black Birthday Card

Hello friends.  I have a new birthday card made for the Color Hues Challenge - Red & Black.

ETA:  My card was chosen as one of the Rockers at Watercooler Wednesday challenge.

I used some new goodies from Spellbinders - Be Bold Blooms for the red flowers and black centers. I added Wink of Stella to the black centers and the edges of the flower petals.  The open leaves are from SU Artistic Dies.  I cut them apart and placed them under the flowers where I thought they looked best.  The sentiment is stamped in Real Red using Waffle Flower Essential Sentiments stamp and die set.  I mounted it with foam tape to a white panel embossed with SU Pine Planks EF.  The black gingham paper is from a Recollections pad and the scallop border is cut with a SU die.

I will link to the Watercooler Wednesday challenge - All About Occasions.

and to The Paper Players - Tic Tac Toe Challenge  (I use the diagonal row bottom left to upper right corner)
ETA:  My card was chosen as  A Cut Above at The Paper Players.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,
JoAnn

  7. I love your mix of elements with the bold red flowers and the open leaves! I've had the Be Bold set on my wishlist for awhile but I waited too long because it's sold out everywhere. Probably because of your inspiration with this card and the pastel one.
