Seize the Birthday - Use Vellum or Acetate

Hello friends.  It is time for our new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Ashwini would like us to use Vellum or Acetate on our cards.  It is always Anything Goes if you are not in to our "Topping" option.

I used some new Spellbinders dies for the white panel - Open Lace Frame and Landscapes (only using the frame) and Decorative Lattice, which I cut out of the frame panel.  I cut a piece of vellum and added it to the back of the frame and then mounted it with thin foam strips to a panel of Soft Succulent (ret.).  I die cut the Pretty in Pink flowers using Altenew Houseplants dies.  I blended darker pink ink to the centers before gluing them together and then added the yellow center.  The leaves are die cut from SU Peaceful Pine using dies from two different sets.  I arranged them across the bottom and then added the sentiment from Gina K. Designs Elegant Thoughts, stamped in Peaceful Pine ink and cut with the matching die.  I added 3 die cut layers for dimension instead of using foam tape.  This panel was added to a white card base.

Be sure to check out all the lovely ways the Team and out guests used Vellum or Acetate over at Seize the Birthday and join in our fun challenge..

I wall add this to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time using the Spellbinders dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,
JoAnn

  2. That lattice frame was such a good place to add vellum, JoAnn. I've always thought those Houseplant flowers were cute and they work beautifully on your card.

  3. JoAnn, I think a simple slip of vellum makes any card that much prettier - you've proven my theory! It's gorgeous!

  6. Such a pretty layered card, JoAnn. I do not believe I have ever used vellum behind a trellis like that. Such a smart choice.
