Hello friends. I have a new birthday card to share today. This one is inspired by a card I think I saw on Pinterest but I can't find it now. (ETA: I found the card here. Thanks Kelly) I changed a few things but kept the colors the same except for the blue. The sentiment, trellis die, white flowers, and leaves are all different and the flowers are arranged differently. I have seen so many pretty cads with PTI Into the Blooms: Poppies that I had to have it.
ETA: My card was a Team Pick at Tic Tac Toe.
I die cut the poppies from SU Barely Blush and blended SU Melon Mambo ink on them. The centers are cut from black. I layered them together using pieces of foam tape between the main layers. The smaller white flowers are cut using Spellbinders Petite Floral Potpourri and then blended SU Azure Afternoon ink in the centers. I glued to die cuts together and added a small black gem to the centers. The white oval is cut using two MFT Stitched Oval dies. The leaves are cut from SU Granny Apple Green using PTI Into the Blooms: Wild Wood. The card base and Waffle Flower Rhombus Panel Die are from SU Seaside Spray (ret.). I glued the trellis on and then mounted the white oval with foam tape. The flowers and foliage are mounted with glue and pieces of foam tape where needed. The sentiment is from Gina K. Designs Elegant Thoughts.
I will share this at Tic Tac Toe Challenge - left column down, Floral, Pink, Birthday.
and the Triple B Challenge - Birds, Blooms, Butterflies
and to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time using the Poppies dies.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.
Happy Stamping,
JoAnn

JoAnn those poppies are stunning! Your colouring is fabulous and the floral arrangement over the trellis background is just lovely. Thanks so much for joining our challenge at Tic Tac Toe.

ReplyDeleteThis is soooooo pretty JoAnn!! I love your Poppies and especially the light blue background! I'm so used to keeping all my backgrounds white, but the solid color really makes everything else POP!! Beautifully done card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteYour hot-pink Peonies are my favorites - though admittedly I'd have ALL the colors in my garden if I could!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful card, JoAnn - especially love the oval frame!

The ink blending on the flowers is wonderful, JoAnn, and the arrangement around the oval on that blue lattice background made a spectacular card.
