Hello friends. I have a new birthday card to share today. I made this one for a friend who likes pink.
Wow, my card was chosen as the Headliner at The Paper Players.
I used Pinkfresh Studio Be Fearless Stamps, Dies, and Stencils for the pretty flowers. After stamping them, I used the stencils to blend Pretty in Pink, Flirty Flamingo (flowers) and Soft Succulent (leaves) on the images. I had the Pinkfresh Studio Stitched Scallop Frame already cut so I used it and arranged the flowers around one side. I saw The Paper Players had a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge with flowers, pink, and ribbon along the top row so I had to think how I wanted to use ribbon so I could play along with their challenge. Of course flowers are my favorite kind of cards. I looked through my ribbons and had some wide pink satin ribbon so I used that as a mat under the frame die cut. The flowers and frame are mounted with foam tape. The sentiment is from Honey Bee Stamps Birthday Wishes. I stamped in black and used the matching dies to cut it out, then mounted it with foam tape. I really like the finished card.
I am linking to The Paper Players - top row across, flowers, pink, ribbon.
and also to Darnell's Weekly I.D.E.A.S. challenge as this week is S for Stencils.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.
Happy Stamping,
JoAnn
This is just beautiful! I always love pink and green together, and that Soft Succulent is perfect for your shades of pink! Just gorgeous! Thanks for playing with my challenge this week at the Players, too!
ReplyDeleteJoAnn this was a very pretty, and clever way to use that satin ribbon!
ReplyDeleteAlas, I may just have to retrieve my PFS roses from that destash collection!

What a beautiful card! I love that tumble of roses down one side and the scalloped frame. This is such a clever way to use the ribbon too, as a mat. So glad you played along with us at The Paper Players.
ReplyDeleteI have this PF set and I love it, I also love the way you've used it! Nifty ribbon technique too!
ReplyDeletePretty flowers is too humble, JoAnn ~ they are gorgeous flowers! (I love the shading, so I'm going to go check out their stencils.) The frame and ribbons and sediment are beautiful, too! Thank you for using this week's I.D.E.A.S. Calendar and linking to the gallery! 📌 Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card, JoAnn. The ribbon is a great accent to your pink roses and I love how they curve around one side of the frame.
ReplyDeleteJoAnn, I love those soft colors. Fabulous way to showcase these wonderful PFS crafting goodies. The way you placed the flowers reminds me of roses climbing a trellis on a summer's day. So glad you shared this with us at the Paper Players this week
