Birthday Wishes

Hello friends.  I have a new birthday card to share today.  I made this one for a friend who likes pink.

Wow, my card was chosen as the Headliner at The Paper Players.

I used Pinkfresh Studio Be Fearless Stamps, Dies, and Stencils for the pretty flowers.  After stamping them, I used the stencils to blend Pretty in Pink, Flirty Flamingo (flowers) and Soft Succulent (leaves) on the images.  I had the Pinkfresh Studio Stitched Scallop Frame already cut so I used it and arranged the flowers around one side.  I saw The Paper Players had a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge with flowers, pink, and ribbon along the top row so I had to think how I wanted to use ribbon so I could play along with their challenge.  Of course flowers are my favorite kind of cards.  I looked through my ribbons and had some wide pink satin ribbon so I used that as a mat under the frame die cut.  The flowers and frame are mounted with foam tape.   The sentiment is from Honey Bee Stamps Birthday Wishes.  I stamped in black and used the matching dies to cut it out, then mounted it with foam tape.  I really  like the finished card.

I am linking to The Paper Players - top row across, flowers, pink, ribbon.

and also to Darnell's Weekly I.D.E.A.S. challenge as this week is S for Stencils.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,

Seize the Birthday -Milestone

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Jenny wants us to make a card for a "Milestone Birthday."  As always, it can be our "Anything Goes" birthday.

I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest, so I made this card for my daughter who will be turning 55 soon and I think that is a milestone birthday, especially for her. 😉  She loves teal colors so that is the color I went with.  I used Spellbinders Happy Hello Floral stamp and die set.  I colored the flowers with SU Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green Blends, die cut it with the matching dies and then mounted it to a white panel embossed with Spellbinders Arches & Dots EF.  The sentiment is from an older SU set stamped in Memento Tuxedo  Black ink and then fussy cut.  I glued it to the panel and then die cut the 55 from SU Coastal Cabana card stock, glued it on and mounted the white panel to a Coastal Cabana mat.  This was mounted to a white card base and my card was done.

Be sure to check out all the fabulous cards by the team and our party guests over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope to see you in our gallery.

and to Addicted to Stamps and More - any occasion.
