Hello friends. I have a birthday card to share today. I made this one using the Color Hues Challenge colors of blue and yellow.
This card came together quickly as I already had several of the items done. The blue panel was already embossed with SU Tasteful Textile EF and I just used SU Scalloped Contours dies (ret) for the scalloped edge. The sentiment label was already cut, I just stamped the sentiment from Gina K. Designs Spring Clusters and mounted it with foam tape.. The yellow cone flower (Honey Bee Designs) was already done form a previous project and I mounted it with foam tape. I added a few clear rhinestones to the panel and glued it to the white card base and my card was done.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.
Happy Stamping,
JoAnn

It's so great when you can pull together a lovely project with ready-made items! That cone flower is a favorite of mine and is beautiful against the blue embossed background. The scallop die cut background and the gems are lovely feminine element. Such a pretty card, JoAnn! Thank you so much for joining in at Color Hues!
ReplyDeleteIt makes it easy when you find things already done in the package and they go together so well, JoAnn.. The coneflower is perfect for the yellow in the challenge.
ReplyDeleteJoAnn, I adore your lovely pale-yellow coneflower and the contrast of this dark blue! A beautiful way to say happy birthday!

My first idea was to use a Coneflower with this combo. I am certainly glad someone did. This is another beauty, JoAnn. Happy Mother's Day to you and thanks for playing at Color Hues.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done JoAnn, and you gotta love it when so many parts were already done and they all come together perfectly!! I love your bold blue background and how pretty your yellow coneflower looks against it! Lovely, lovely card my friend and thanks so much for sharing it with us at the Color Hues Challenge!! Hugs. :0)
