Another Anniversary Card

Hello friends.  Now, that Christmas is over I have several anniversary and birthday cards to do.  This one is for a good friend's anniversary and I have one more to make for my sister's anniversary next week.

I used Spellbinders Club Blooms for the pretty flowers - Flirty Flamingo for the large one and Bubble Bath for the two small ones. I layered the large bloom and then added fancy rhinestones (Hobby Lobby) to the centers of each bloom.  The foliage is from the same set cut in two shades of green.  I mounted them to a white panel cut with MFT Stitched Mini Scallop Rectangle.  The sentiment is an older one from Verve Stamps.  I then mounted the panel with foam tape to a panel of pattern paper from SU Floral Charm, and then to the white card base.  I like the pinks and blue colors together and really like the finished card.

I will also add this one to the Triple B Challenge

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Anniversary

Hello friends.  I have a new anniversary card to share.  This one is for another couple at church.

I was inspired by Tina's card here and after watching her video, I just had to make one.  I used the same Altenew Cute Open Rose die set but everything else is different as I didn't have the supplies she used. I die cut the flowers from white, flick a few lt. gray strokes in the centers, shaped the petals and then layered them together.  I used two stitched rectangle dies and cut the kraft panel, then added a clear window sheet behind it.  I glued the flowers on the right side, added leaves cut from SU Pear Pizzazz under the edges, and mounted the frame with foam tape.  I stamped the sentiment and then cut it apart and glued it on the panel.  I cut a panel of SU Bubble Bath card and embossed half of it with a Crafter's Companion EF (no name on it).  I then used Tim Holtz's Roses stencil and SU Pretty in Pink ink to blend the left side of the panel.  I cut the panel to 5-1/4" x 3-3/4" as the EF didn't fit the whole front.  I added a strip of green to the left side and glued it to the white card base.  I really love the finished card.

I am linking to The Color Hues Challenge - Pink & Green.

I will also add it to the Triple B Challenge

Happy Anniversary

Hello friends.  I think I am done with my Christmas cards and had to make an anniversary card for some good friends who's anniversary is next week.

I used Gina K. Designs Flower Medley for the pretty blooms and foliage.  I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with SU Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Blends.  I die cut them with the matching dies and mounted them to a circle cut with SU Spotlight on Nature Dies.  The circle is mounted with foam tape and I added small pieces of foam tape under the petals sticking off the circle. The sentiment is from an older SU set.  I embossed a panel of white with SU Cross-Hatch EF and tore the edge and then cut a strip of pattern paper from my stash to glue under the torn edge.  I really like the finished card and I am sure my friends will also.  Her favorite color is yellow.

I will link to the Triple B Challenge - Birds, Blooms, Butterflies

Peeking Snowmen

Hello friends.  I have a new Christmas card to share today and there are no poinsettias. :)  This card is going to my grandson in West Virginia where they have been getting snow and really cold weather.  I thought they would like it.

I think these Cottage Cutz Peeker Snowmen are so cute.  I have had them for awhile and this is the first time using them.  I saw several cards on Pinterest using them so had to get them out to play with.  I die cut the images from white and colored them with Copics. After assembling all the pieces, I found some brick patterned paper to place them on.  I die cut Cottage Cutz Icicle Border  and added it to the top of the pattern paper, added this to a panel embossed with SU snowflake EF (ret) and then added the cute snow people with foam tape, as I colored one in pink, so she has to be a girl. :)  I am not sure which set the sentiment is from as I had it on a block and decided to use it.  After stamping it, I fussy cut around it and glued it to the snowflake panel and my card was done.

I will add this to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time using these dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Another One for The Flower Challenge

Hello friends.  I had to make another poinsettia card for The Flower Challenge since they are looking for Christmas Florals. I am so sad  this is the last challenge for The Flower Challenge.  I have always been inspired by the DT cards and many players and also enjoyed joining in.

This card is for a special couple at church.  I embossed a panel of Evening Evergreen with Spellbinders Scenic Poinsettia EF and tried to splatter it with gold paint but didn't do too good, so I took the end of a toothpick dipped in the gold paint and put the dots where I wanted them - worked out great, in my opinion. :)  I cut the small die from SU Poinsettia Petals (ret.) using SU Cherry Cobbler, shaped the petals and glued them together, then added a gold foil die cut center.  The gold foil sprigs are from the same die set, but the pine branches are from a Spellbinders set.  The sentiment panel is cut with a PTI Love to Layer: Soft Ridges die and stamped in Cherry Cobbler using an older Recollections stamp set.  I mounted the white panel with foam tape and added the poinsettia and foliage in the upper left corner.  This was added to a white card base and my card was done.

I will also link to Festive Friday Challenge - used red, white, green, and Christmas Sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Christmas Florals for The Flower Challenge

Hello friends.  Sadly, this is the last challenge for The Flower Challenge.  I have so enjoyed this challenge and will definitely miss it. They want us to Use Christmas Florals.  Of course, I thought of poinsettias as I have quite a few to choose from but settled on this oldie from Stampin Up - Poinsettia Petals.

I die cut the 3 layers of the poinsettia from white and shaped the petals with my fingers, glued the 3 layers together and added  the center cut from gold foil.   The leaves from the set was cut from some green from my stash and the sprigs from the gold foil.  I also cut the sentiment from my new Papertrey Ink Holiday Tag: Elegant Ornaments set from the gold foil (can't wait to play with the ornaments in this set).  I layered the gold sentiment on a white layer and then glued to a Real Red panel embossed with Altenew Moroccan Tile EF (also new).  I swiped white ink over the embossing before gluing the elements on.  I added this panel to a scalloped black mat cut with MFT Blueprints 20 die, and then glued to a white card base.  I am really loving this card and may make a couple more since I am not quite done with my Christmas cards this year.

Linking to Can You Handle the Pressure (did not use the twist)

I will also add this to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time using the EF and the sentiment die.

Another Christmas Card

Hello friends.  I have another Christmas card to share today. Several are going in the mail today and others will be hand delivered.

I  cut an ornament from white card stock using my Silhouette to use the negative for a stencil, but also wanted to use the cut out.  I glued strips of blue pattern paper (from an old 4x6 paper pad) on the ornament, cutting off the overhang, and then had to decide how to use it.  I embossed a white panel with Spellbinders Christmas Tile 3D EF and mounted it to a panel of SU Soft Sky (ret.), as it matched the pattern paper.  I cut the joy from gold foil using a die from an older Hero Arts Joy Stamp & Die set.  The ornament topper was cut using a Spellbinders die.  I cut a narrow strip of gold for the hanger.  I added 2 plain layers to the back of the ornament and mounted it to the embossed panel.  The sentiment is from MFT Filled With Joy Stamp & Die set, stamped on Soft Sky in Basic Gray ink, and mounted with foam tape.  All this was mounted to a white card base and I really like the finished card.

I will send this to Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge where they are celebrating their 100th challenge.
Congratulations to Diane & Darlene and the design team.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.
