Anniversary Blessings

Hello friends.  I have a new anniversary card to share today.

I had to have this new Altenew Garden Cosmos die set and couldn't wait to make a card with it.  I die cut the flowers and stems from white and then ink blended them with DOI, Broken China for the flowers & buds, and Rustic Wilderness for the stems.  After gluing the layers together, I added a pretty rhinestone gem to the centers.  The flowers have dimension from the layers so I didn't use foam tape, but put glue in the centers and glued them over the stems.  The buds & stems are separate so I added them where I wanted them.  The sentiment is from Sweet 'N Sassy Anniversary Innies.  I mounted it with foam tape.  I added texture to the white panel with SU Tasteful Textile EF (ret.)

I will link to the Triple B Challenge - Birds Blooms Butterflies

and to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time using this die set.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Have a Koala-ty Birthday

Hello friends.  I have a new birthday card to share today.  I made this one for a young girl at church who is turning 8.  I used a new to me stamp and die set, Koala-ty Birthday by Simon Says Stamp and really like the finished card.  Sorry, the photo is a little crooked but the card has already been given to the recipient.

I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copics.  After die cutting the image, I mounted it with foam tape to a Soft Seafoam panel cut with a stitched rounded rectangle die.  I stamped and cut the sentiment from the set in a brown ink and mounted it with foam tape.  I glued this panel to a pink & white striped paper and rounded the corners with a punch to match the green panel.  I mounted this to a white card base and then added some tiny pink pearls for a little bling.

and also to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time using this set.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Favorite Fall Treat

Hello Friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Nance (our newest team member) has chosen the "Topping" option of Favorite Fall Treat.

While looking through my stash of dies I came across this older die set by Spellbinders Welcome Fall and thought it was perfect as pumpkins are always a favorite, since I didn't have a pumpkin pie stamp :).  This is the first time I have used this die set but am pleased with the final result.  I got the general idea from the die cover but changed it quite a bit.   I added an extra wood slat to the sign and stamped the sentiment from an older Impression Obsession set, masking each word before stamping.  I also made the post longer to accommodate the sign, which were all made from lt. gray card from my stash.  I used DOI and MFT cloud stencil to blend the sky and green for the ground.  I also used DOI on the leaves.  I die cut the pumpkins from SU Pumpkin Pie (very appropriate) and blended Pumpkin Pie ink around the edges. I also added extra to the basket and placed the 3 small pumpkins in it.  I placed 2 large pumpkins by the basket with form tape.  The basket and sign were also mounted with foam tape.  The branch and leaves were glued on.  I mounted the main panel to a panel of SU Cloud Cover and then to the white card base.

I will send this to Darnell's NBUS since this is the first time using the die set.

Be sure to check out all the fun Fall Treat cards at Seize the Birthday and join in the fun.  Hope to see you in our gallery.

Birthday Card for a Friend

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card to share today.  I made this one for a friend who's birthday is today.  My daughter and I delivered the card and a small birthday cake to her and she loved it (the card and the cake).

I embossed a panel of SU Shaded Spruce with SU Forever Plaid EF and adhered it to a white card base.  The flowers are cut with Waffle Flower Poinsettia Frame Die which has separate flower dies also. I think they are too pretty to just use as poinsettias at Christmas so I cut them twice from white and blended DOI Festive Berries in the centers before layering them together. There are 3 sizes of flowers on the one die and also separate leaves that go with the frame die.  I cut the leaves from a lt. green.  The circle is cut with SU Spotlight on Nature dies and the sentiment is from SU Unbounded Love.  After stamping the sentiment, I mounted the circle with foam tape and then added the flowers around the bottom with the leaves glued under the petals.  I added rhinestones to the centers of the flowers to finish off the card.

I will add my card to the Triple B Challenge

and also Darnell's My NBUS as this is the first time I have used this die set.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Splish Splash for STB

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Shirley has chosen Splish Splash for our "Topping" option.  If you are not into the topping, it can be our usual anything goes for a Birthday.

I used a free digital image from Whimsey Stamps (free on World Card Making Day) and sized it to fit on a panel cut with SU Radiating Stitches die.  I colored it with SU Blends Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Boho Blue.  After die cutting it, I mounted it with foam tape on a panel of Bleu Cheese (Taylored Expressions) also cut with the larger Radiating Stitches die. I then mounted the whole panel to a white card base.  I did the sentiment on my computer and thought it would be perfect for the image.  I glued it to opposite corners and my card was done.  I like the finished card and it will be going to a little one at church who has a birthday this month.

I hope you will check out all the great cards by the Team and our Party Guests at STB and join in the fun challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.
