Seize the Birthday - Use "Splatters" on your card

Happy Thursday my blogging friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday.  This time our "Toppings" option is to use splatters on your birthday card.

We are also pleased to announce that we are starting a new feature at STB.  We will be featuring a Surpise Party Guest for each month, starting with October.  We all felt that it was time to recognize those of you who play along with us week after week.  To get selected as a Surprise Party Guest, just keep playing along with us and you just might be chosen.

Our guest for October is Anita from My Papercraft World.  Be sure to stop by, say hello and check out her blog.

For my card I used all Stampin Up products, except for the large We R Memory Keepers gray brad.
I used Smoky Slate, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White CS.  The splatters from Gorgeous Grunge are stamped in Smoky Slate, Pink Pirouette and Pretty in Pink inks.  The flower from Petal Potpourri was stamped in Smoky Slate and fussy cut.  The petals were sponged with Pink Pirouette.  I cut between each petal and then shaped them with my stylus.  I used my clear glitter gel pen to go over the lines in the petals.  The flower is mounted with foam tape. The shine shows up better in this photo.

The leaves and sentiment are from Birthday Blossoms.  I stamped the leaves in Pear Pizzazz ink, then sponged them with the same ink, and fussy cut them to add under the flower petals.  The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  The borders were made with a SU retired border punch.

Now check out all the fabulous creations by my teammates over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will play along with us.

Thanks so much for stopping.  Have a wonderful day.
Happy Stamping,
JoAnn
