VLVSep2012 - O Christmas Tree

Here is my card for Verve's Viva La Verve Sep Sketch, week 3.  I am working on getting a head start on my Christmas cards.  I used Verve's O Christmas Tree stamp set. The tree is stamped in SU Gumball Green and cut out with circle nestabilities and matted on a nestabilitie scallop circle.  I inked the edge of the circle with SU Bashful Blue ink while still in the die, and added a grey shadow with a promarker.  The red pearls are by Recollections from Michael's.  DSP is SU Be of Good Cheer and Gumball Green and Very Vanilla CS.  The sentiment is cut with a Spellbinder's tag die and inked with Gumball Green ink. The ribbon is SU Cherry Cobbler.
Size:  5-1/2" square.

MFTWSC90 - Christmas card

I made this card following this week's MFT sketch.  I used MFT ALM- An Apple For Teacher, but I cut her apple off and put an ornament from MFT Christmas Ornaments and die set as I am working on Christmas projects for the grandchildren's teachers and thought this would make a cute card. The sentiment is from the same set. I embossed the stripes and Joy on the ornament with gold embossing powder and sponged the edge with SU Soft Suede ink for definition. I used Copics to color the image and paper pieced her top & skirt. I cut her out, mounted her on foam tape and placed her on the text background paper (MME).  All other paper is from SU's Festival of Prints pad. I tied SU Cherry Cobbler baker's twine to the ornament.

VLV Week 4 and Verve Fanspiration challenge

This is a card I made for Viva La Verve sketch challenge, week 4 and also for the Verve Fanspiration Diva Dare.  Here is the info on the Verve blog   Here is the card I chose on SCS Verve gallery.  I chose Julia's card for the beautiful yellow/gray color combo and the Joyful Blooms flower which is one of my favorite flowers.  This flower also resembles the flower in the MME patterned paper, although I use several layers to make it stand out better.  I stamped it using SU Going Gray ink to match the dsp flowers also. For the tag I cut it out in Basic Gray and Whisper White and trimmed the white layer down so I could mat in on the gray.

My card is made based on this weeks My Favorite Things weekly sketch challenge 85.  I flipped the sketch to go with the image. I think she looks pretty cute  The sentiment is from MFT Birthday Balloons Jolinne set.  The card base is SU Kraft CS.

MojoMonday 253 - A True Friend

This is a card I made for this week's Mojo Monday sketch.  I love the slanted panels on the sketch, it is a great sketch and fun to play with.   All the center panels and flower are raised on dimensionals.  I inked the edges of the square, oval and the flower layers.  Had to add the flower made with Verve's Floral Circles dies and a SU punch, with a SU brad in the center. I love making flowers and adding them to my projects. I used the SU Bird punch for the leaves and the Martha Stewart fern punch.
I appreciate you visiting my blog and leaving comments.  Have a great day.

Mojo Monday 252 - Anniversary Wishes

I am playing along with this week's MOJO Monday sketch which is square or round.  I chose to do a square card and use monochromatic colors, black & ivory older K& Co. paper pad (although it looks white in the photo).  I used Verve's Floral Circles dies to make my flowers. I crumbled the layers and inked the edges with black ink. The centers are black brads by Recollections.  The flowers, center panel and sentiment panel are all raised on dimensionals.  I embossed the Very Vanilla flagtail strip with the SU dots EF. The leaves are SU sizzlet die.
