Two More Christmas Cards

Hello friends.  I am slowly getting my Christmas cards done and have two new ones to share.

For Card #1 I combined some old and new stamps/dies.   The old is Taylored Expressions In & Out Christmas stamps for the sentiment.  I stamped it in Real Red ink and fussy cut around it.  The poinsettia is from a retired SU set Poinsettia Petals stamp & dies.  I stamped the poinsettia in Smokey Slate ink and cut with the matching dies.  The leaves were stamped in Mossy Meadow on some green from my stash, and then die cut.  I added the die cut gold center to the poinsettia.  The Real Red background is stamped with my new Penny Black Christmas Story stamp with Whisper White ink.  I then added my new SSS Double Plaid Cover cut in white.  The sentiment and poinsettia are mounted with foam tape and the leaves glued under the petals.  I really like the finished card.

For card #2 I used Creative Expressions Festive Collection - Poinsettia Additions for the white poinsettias.  The leaves and pine boughs are cut from Evening Evergreen using Spellbinders Holiday Blooms die set.  The gold pieces are cut using SU Poinsettia Petals (ret.) .  Noel is cut from gold foil using SU Joy of Noel (ret.) and glued on an Ornate Layers (ret.) die cut. I glued the letters on the panel and mounted it with foam tape. The flowers and foliage are glued on over the banner. I like this one too and my granddaughter said this one is her favorite of all my Christmas cards.

I will link Card #1 to Darnell's NBUS as the die cut and background stamp are new.

Seize the Birthday - Feather(s)

Hello friends.  Time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Vicki has chosen feather(s) as our Topping option this time..

My feathers are digital images I have had for quite some time and they were perfect for this challenge as I don't have any feather stamps.  I printed them on white cardstock and colored them with Crumb Cake Blends, but didn't like the way they looked so colored them with Misty Moonlight Blends and like them better.  I fussy cut them and added a  bow cut from SU Gray Granite with a retired SU flower set.  I die cut a stitched rectangle from white, stamped the sentiment from SU Unbounded Love and then embossed it with Tasteful Textile EF (ret.).  I added this to a Gray Granite mat.  I cut a rectangle from the new SU Nests of Winter DSP and added a Gray Granite mat, then added to my white card base.  I added the stamped panel with foam tape and then added the feathers with foam tape also.

Now hop over to STB and check out all the great cards by the Team and out Guest Designers.  I hope you will be inspired to play along with us.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Anniversary for 2 Challenges

Hello friends.  I have a new anniversary card to share today.  I made this card with two challenges in mind - Color Throwdown #815 and The Flower Challenge #96.

I used Pinkfresh Studio's Be Fearless Stamps, Dies & Stencils along with PFS inks Mimosa & Mango Sorbet for the flowers and Gina K. Designs Light Spruce for the leaves.  After stamping the images, I used the inks and stencils to color them, and then die cut them with the matching dies.  I die cut two white panels with SU Radiating Stitches dies and blended Bermuda Bay ink around the edge of the largest panel.  I stamped the sentiment from an older Verve set in Bermuda Bay ink and then mounted it with foam tape to the larger panel, and then to the white card base.  I laid the 3 flower die cuts around in an arch to see how I liked it and then mounted them with pieces of foam tape.  I really liked the finished card with this color combo.

Seize the Birthday - Dots

Hello Friends.  It is time for our new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Shirley has chosen Dots as our "Topping Option" for us to play with.

I chose Memory Box Small Circle Burst for my dots - center circle cut out and the dots fade out to small and smaller.  I die cut the white panel and then embossed it with SU Subtle EF (ret.) to give it a little texture.  I stamped the sentiment from SU Labeled With Love in the center of the cutout on the Soft Sea Foam green card base, then glued the white panel on.  The flowers are from Gina K. Designs Delicate Flowers Stamp, Die & Stencil set.  After stamping the flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black, I used the stencils and SU inks - Azure Afternoon & Granny Apple Green to color them.  I then die cut them with the matching dies and mounted the flowers with small pieces of foam tape and glued the stem down at the bottom.  I really like the finished card.

You can check out all the inspiration by the TEAM and our Party Guests using Shirley's Dot "topping" and I hope to see you in our gallery.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Two More Christmas Cards

Hello friends.  I am slowly getting my Christmas cards done and have two more to share today.  Both of these were inspired by several cards I saw on Pinterest using The Greetery's Big Beautiful Bow. I cannot find the original cards.

My first card uses different dies, sentiment and embossing folder.  The original card used a different big bow die and greenery dies, a different background and sentiment. The layout and colors are based on the card I saw.
For my card I embossed the white panel with SU Exposed Brick EF and mounted it to a Blushing Bride panel, then to the white card base.  I cut the bow die from Blushing Bride and inked the centers before gluing the pieces together. The foliage is from different dies and I am not sure which ones I used.  The sentiment is from SU Brightest Glow (ret.).

This card  was inspired by one of Bette Manning's cards and is almost the same except for the foliage dies.  The white panel is cut with The Greetery's Herringbone Parquet Die and mounted to a SU Pear Pizzazz green panel.  The bow is cut from SU Real Red and layered together.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.
