MHK Designs December Release - The Write Stuff

Happy Saturday morning friends.  Sadly, today is the last day of MHK Designs December Release and my last day as a guest designer.  "The Write Stuff" is the design we are using today.  I love all the vintage style images.

The Write Stuff Digital Stamp Set

I printed out two of the telephones, no coloring needed, and linked them together with Baker's twine.  I think the sentiment is perfect with these images.  This was a quick and fun card to do and a great way to send a sweet hello to someone special.

Don't forget to check out all the cards by the designers and join in the blog hop.  Be sure to comment on each of the designers' blogs for a chance to win.  You can also enter a card of your own to join in the challenge for another chance to win.

MHK Designs December Release - Stitched Tea Party

Good Morning Friends.  Today I am sharing another card as guest designer for MHK Designs December Release. Today is Day 3 and we have this cute Stitched Tea Party set.  There are 2 images and several sentiments.
I printed the teapot image and sentiment together and then die cut it with a Spellbinders Label 17 die.  I sponged around the image with SU Crumb Cake ink before removing it from the die.  I traced around the edge of the die on Crumb Cake CS and fussy cut it to make a mat.  I colored the image with Copics and added gold pearls.  This panel is mounted with foam tape.  The patterned paper (?) is mounted on a Crumb Cake scallop mat cut with an MFT Blueprints 20 die.

I am using an image and sentiment from Realistic Roses.
Realistic Roses Digital Stamp Set
Mynn does a fabulous job drawing her images with so much detail.  I printed the rose image out twice, one a little larger, colored them with Copics and fussy cut them out.  I only used the end rose of the larger image and mounted them both with foam tape around the sentiment panel.  (Love this sentiment from Proverbs.) It is cut with Spellbinders Lacey Circles die and mounted with foam tape.  The background DSP is from the Country Farm Digital Paper Pack, it goes so well with the colored roses.   I matted it with black CS and the card base is SU Crumb Cake.

Sending Birthday Bear Hugs

I am sharing a cute card I made for a young girl at church.  I used this adorable bear from MFT Beary Special Birthday set.  I colored him with Copics and used the matching die set to cut him out.  He is mounted with foam tape.  The sentiment is from the same same.  I used SU Pirouete Pink CS for the scalloped mat cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 20.  Sorry, I don't remember the 6x6 pad I used for the DSP, but I liked it and thought it gave a soft color palette.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Merry Christmas Tag -25 Days of Christmas Tags

Hello friends.  I made another tag for Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  They are on Day 25, the last day today, but I have only completed two tags as I have been very busy with other things.  For my tag I was inspired by several cute tags with doggies.  One was this cutie by Angela:

For my tag I used an adorable doggie print & cut image on my Silhouette.  He is mounted with foam tape. The sentiment is die cut from red glitter paper with an Elizabeth Craft Designs die.  The DSP is a scrap from my stash and the tag base is SU Crumb Cake.  I added some Christmas ribbon to the tag and it was done.

I am linking my tag up with Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge as I used IO Merry Christmas die.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday with presents

Happy Thursday friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time we have the "Toppings" option of using presents on your birthday project.  Remember it is an option and the only requirement is that it has to be for a birthday.

I used two different My Favorite Things sets to create this cute elephant with his presents and balloons.  The elephant is from BB Adorable Elephants;  the presents and balloons are from BB Beary Special Birthday.  The sentiment is from Vintage Frames by Inspired by Stamping (no longer available).  The main panel is cut with Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Mats Rounded Rectangles.  The grass is stamped with an old CTMH stamp and SU Old Olive ink.  I then sponged some ink over it.  The clouds are sponged with SU Bashful Blue ink and Taylored Expressions Cloud Border die.  The DSP is from MME My Girl 6x6 pad.  I paper-pieced the balloons with paper from the same pad.  The mats are SU Soft Suede CS.  The image panel and the elephant are mounted with foam tape.

Be sure to check out all the fabulous cards by the Design Team and our surprise party guest Sherrie  over at Seize the Birthday.

Happy Birthday to You for Mojo Monday #473

Hello friends.  I am sharing a card I made for Mojo Monday 473 sketch and got it posted just in time.
I used Verve's Kindness Matters for the flower; On Occasion for the frame around the Happy Birthday to You sentiment.  The flowers and sentiment are stamped in SU Basic Gray and the frame is stamped in Mint Macaron (stamped off once to make it lighter).  I stamped the flower twice and fussy cut the center of the flower after sponging them with Blushing Bride ink.  I layered them together and mounted it with foam tape.  The sentiment panel is also mounted with foam tape. The leaves are cut from SU Mint Macaron with Verve's Dreamy Leaves die set.  The mats are SU Blushing Bride CS.   The DSP is from Mint to Be Fab by The Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

25 Days of Christmas Tags

I just found Tracey McNeely"s challenge for 25 Days of Christmas Tags.
They are on Day 10 but this is my first tag.  I was inspired by Birgit's lovely tag on Day 2.

I used my new  Poppystamps Main Street Stitched Tag; Cottage Cutz Christmas Cheer Candles die; and Impression Obsession Peace die.  I cut the largest tag die out of gold foil cardstock and the next size down out of white cardstock.  The candles are cut from various cardstocks.  I added red pearls to the holly leaves.  I really like how the tag turned out.

I hope I can create more tags for Tracey's challenge.  You can check out all the details and play along here.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Wedding Layout

Hello friends.  I am sharing a layout I made for my grandson that got married this weekend.  I put it in a black shadowbox frame.  I wasn't able to go to the wedding, but hope they liked it.

ETA:  They loved the framed layout and said it was the best gift they got, made me smile.
The base is black cardstock and the DSP is from Always and Forever by The Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby.  The names are cut on my Cricut with the Storybook cartridge.  I used Martha Stewart Cherish punch around the page and also a MS heart punch.  I added some pearl hearts to the centers of the punched hearts.  The date is on a Spellbinder's die cut.  The white flower is by Prima and the blue flowers are from Michael's.

Thanks so much for stopping  by.  Have a wonderful day.

The banners are made with MFT Fishtail Flags Layers and Pierced Fishtail Flags dies.  The sentiment is from SU Simply Sketched stamped in Chocolate Chip ink.  The banner and flower are mounted with foam tape.
