New Seize the Birthday Challenge

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge over at Seize the Birthday and this time there is no "Toppings" option, it just has to be for a birthday.

I love making cards with flowers and this one will go to a lady at church.  I used SU Botanical Builders (this set is retiring) for the flowers and leaves.   I used the background paper to make my flower.  After cutting the flower, I shaped the petals with my stylus, layered it and added a glitter brad to the center.  Both pattern papers are from DCWV Samantha Rose 12x12 pad.  The doily die is by Top Dog Dies.  The sentiment is from SU Memorable Moments.  The scallop frame and banner are cut with MFT dies and the banner is mounted with foam tape.

Now hop over to Seize the Birthday and check out all the fabulous cards by the design team.  I hope you will join us.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Birthday Blessings

Hello Friends.  I made a card for the JUGS color challenge using Freshly Made Sketches #284.

Here is my card:
The card base and flowers are SU Peach Parfait (retired) and the pink DSP is some I had out on my desk, not sure who it is by.  The flowers are made with Cheery Lynn Daisy Strip.  I shaped the petals and added homemade yellow enamel dots to the centers.  I used my yellow Copic marker to go over the dots in the flower centers on the embossed layer.  I used a retired SU EF.  The sentiment is from Verve's Love Deepens.  I cut it into a banner shape and mounted it with foam tape.  The flowers are also mounted with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Baby Album for Twins

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing a twins baby mini album made for my granddaughter's volleyball coach.  She is having twins, a boy and a girl.  There are quite a few photos so I hope you enjoying taking a look.

I used 2 12x12 paper pads from Hobby Lobby - Authentique Cuddle Boy Collection and Cuddle Girl Collection and matched the papers from each collection.  The paper inside the frame and in the middle on page 2 are from Prima's Heaven Sent collection.  I layered 4 die cut frames together for stability and left it open on the right side so she could add a photo if she wanted to.

This is the cover.

Seize the Birthday - use two pattern papers

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this week we have the "Toppings" option of using two pattern papers.  Remember the only requirement is that it be for a birthday.  Also, be sure to check out the rules as you can only link to 5 challenges, including ours.
For my card I used a scrap of older Chatterbox pattern paper and the sketch from Sunday Stamps.

The lt. blue pattern is the reverse side of the diamond pattern.  I matted them with black CS which I think makes them pop.  The sentiment is an older stamp I got at JoAnn's.  The butterfly is from my new My Favorite Things Beautiful Butterflies and the matching Beautiful Butterflies die.  The lt. blue is cut with MFT Pierced Fishtail Flags stax and the mat with MFT Fishtail Flags Layers.  The circles are cut with MFT Pierced Circles and MFT Circle Stax 2.  The sentiment panel is mounted with foam tape and the butterfly image is just glued down in the center.  I added some bling by Recollections.

Now check out all the fabulous cards by the designers over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will be inspired to play along.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Another Anniversary Card

Hello friends.  I am sharing an anniversary card for another couple at church.  I used an older Mojo Monday  487 sketch and DSP from my stash of scraps. :)
The doily is by Top Dog Dies and the flower is Cheery Lynn Daisy Strip die.  I cut the leaves with the smallest die in MFT Royal Leaves  and SU Old Olive CS.  The sentiment is from Just Rite Large Fancy Sentiments, cut with MFT Pierced Circle Stax and Circle Stax 2 for the mat.  I added 3 tiny red enamel dots by My Mind's Eye and Recollections rhinestone bling to the flower center.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Anniversary

Hi friends.  I am sharing an anniversary card I made for a sweet couple at church (I have 4 more anniversary cards to make for this month).  I used this beautiful card by Sheri Gilson as inspiration (thank you Sheri).

I used Gina K. Stamps "Through Thick & Thin" for the flower & leaves.  (It was a free incentive set with a $75.00 order at Gina K's.)  I colored them with Promarkers, fussy cut them and mounted the flower with foam tape.  The sentiment is from SU Timeless Love.  The DSP is from A Very Merry Christmas 6x6 pad by The Paper Studio.  I added black mats and some red enamel dots by Recollections.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.
