Just Us Girls Photo Week

Hello friends.  I made a card for the Just Us Girls Photo Week #362 challenge.

I was inspired by the sunflowers in the photo and used MFT Sunflower die (discontinued) cut with SU Daffodil Delight CS and Chocolate Chip for the center,  The mat is Chocolate Chip CS.  I also used Chocolate Chip ink for the sentiment which is from JustRite Large Fancy Sentiments.  The leaves are cut with SU Botanical Builders Framelits.  The white panel is cut with Spellbinders A2 Scalloped Borders 2 die.  The yellow DSP is from some retired SU paper.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Soft and Simple

Hello my crafty friends.  It is Thursday and time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday.
This time our "Toppings" option is to make your birthday project soft and simple.  I am not too good at simple, but here is my version.
I embossed a frame using an older embossing folder, added a Pretty In Pink die cut daisy using MFT Upsy Daisy die set, and then a couple of punched leaves from SU Mint Macaron using an old Family Treasures punch.  I mounted the flower with foam tape and added a Candi Dot to the center.  The sentiment is from SU Birthday Blooms stamped in SU Basic Gray.  A quick and fairly simple card.  I hope you like it.

You should stop by the Seize the Birthday blog and look at all the fabulous creations by the Design Team.  I hope you will play along with us.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Just Us Girls color challenge

Hello friends  I made a card for the Just Us Girls color week challenge - use Red, Black, and Yellow on your card.
This is what I came up with.
I used my new Cottage Cuts Plumeria & Leaves die for the flower cut in SU Real Red and added a MME enamel dot.  The flourish is MFT Leaf Filled Flouish (no longer available).  The scalloped mat is cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 20.  I love using this for a mat.  The sentiment panel is cut with MFT Pierced Fishtail Flags die.  I put it in one end to cut and then placed the other end in to cut a straight edge on both ends.  The embossed panel is made with SU Vintage Wallpaper EF.  I added 3 large yellow enamel dots to this panel.  The sentiment is from SU Simply Sketched.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday Blog is participating in the Altenew Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop....Go over and check it out...they have prizes up for grabs.

Here is my card using Altenew's Peony Bouquet Stamps and die bundle set.  This is my first time using this set and I love how it turned out.  I love Altenew's stamp sets.
I stamped the outline and the darkest shading in SU Coral Cameo, then Crisp Canteloupe on X-Press It Blending CS and finally sponged Blush Blossom over the white areas.  The leaves are stamped in SU Old Olive and sponged with Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz.  The sentiment is from SU Simply Sketched and the frame is MFT Stitched Circle Frames.   The frame and scalloped mat, MFT Blueprints 20 die, are cut from a scrap of coral CS.  The frame and the flower are mounted with foam tape.  The woodgrain DSP is from We R Memory Keepers Typecast 12x12 pad.

JUGS and MERRY MONDAY

This is my second post today.  Please scroll down for my Seize the Birthday card or click HERE.

Hello Friends.  I was thinking of the Just Us Girls Challenge, which is Travel and thought who wouldn't want to travel on Santa's Sleigh,
So I combined it with the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge - use Black, Gold and White.
This is what I came up with.  I tried several different papers and dies before I settled on this idea.  I like the way it turned out.

I cut the Impression Obsession Santa sleigh out of black CS.  The star, Merry Christmas by Elizabeth Craft Designs and the scallop frame by MFT Blueprints 20 die are cut from gold foil CS.  The star is a Memory Box die.  I mounted these on gold dotted DSP from the Paper Studio Gifts of Gold 6x6 pad.  The only stamping is my sentiment on the inside.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Frames

Hello friends it it time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time our "Toppings" option is to use frames on your birthday project.
This card is for my great-granddaughter who just turned 13.  She has a horse and loves riding so I thought this sweet Magnolia Stamp image would be perfect.  She has blonde hair and loves pink too.  I colored the image with Copics.

I used MFT Stitched Rectangle Frames die, cut from DSP from a Prima Julie Nutting 6x6 pad.  I mounted the frame with foam tape.  The sentiment is from SU Simply Sketched.  I added a few pink sequins for accents. The brown check is also from the same pad and matted with SU Chocolate Chip CS.   The card base is Coredinations 110# CS.

Now make sure you check out all the fabulous cards by the team over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you play along with us.

Happy Birthday

Today I am sharing a birthday card I made for my great-grandson.

Who doesn't love ice cream, chocolate and strawberry, yummy.  I used the ice cream cone image from SU Honeycomb Happiness.  I stamped the image twice and colored with Promarkers, then fussy cut them out.  The sentiment is from a Hampton Arts set I got at Michaels.  I mounted the sentiment panel with foam tape and adhered the ice cream cones on each side.  The DSP is from a retired SU pack called Sycamore Street and is matted with SU Pool Party CS.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - use Tags

It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time we have the "Toppings Option" of using tags, big or small, on your birthday project.

For my card I used the SU Tag Topper punch to make my tag and rounded the bottom corners with a punch.  I sponged the background with Bashful Blue ink and a scalloped circle punch. I diecut the grass with MFT Grassy Edges.  I stamped this cute pig from MFT Hog Heaven and colored him with promarkers.  I fussy cut him out and then added some Wink of Stella to the cupcake icing and cherry.  The image is mounted with foam tape and the tag is also mounted with foam tape.  I added some pink ribbon and tied it with twine.  The sentiment is from the same set and is on a banner cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 20.  The background diecut is with MFT Four Way Chevron Cover die in SU Soft Sky CS.  The sun ray DSP is from MME Adventure 6x6 pad.  The card base is Coredinations Premium Cardstock (110#) from JoAnn's.

Now check out all the cards by the designers over at Seize the Birthday and see the creative cards/tags they have made.  Hope you play along with us.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.
