Seize the Birthday - Lots of Leaves

Happy Thursday friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time we have the "Toppings" option of using "Lots of Leaves" on your birthday project.  It is just an option and the only requirement is that if be for a birthday.  You can check out all the details over at the Seize the Birthday blog.

I used the Leafy Vine Cutting Plate by Taylored Expressions to cut the leaves from white CS and then sponged SU Really Rust, Old Olive, and Crushed Curry inks over the leaves.  I then glued it on a separate piece of white, glued that to the card base and then added a die cut frame using Mama Elephant Framed Tags.  I added the sentiment from MFT Birthday Balloon Jolinne (discontinued) on an MFT Pierced Fishtail Flags die.

I am also linking my card up at Just Us Girls Color Week.

We have lots of leafy inspiration for you over at Seize the Birthday.  Stop over and check it out.  I hope you will play along with us.

Thanks for stopping by.  I appreciate it when you take time to leave me a comment.
Have a wonderful day.

More Photo Folios

Hello friends.  I am sharing two more photo folios I made.  One for Christmas and one for family photos.  The title on the family one is cut on my Silhouette.  The Merry Christmas is cut from red glitter paper and an Impression Obsession die.  I used various dies from LaLa Land, Spellbinders and Cheery Lynn.  I hope you enjoy looking at them.  If you have any questions, just drop me a line.
Here is the link again to the tutorial I used https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BiYPopYENo

Happy Anniversary

Good Morning friends.  I am sharing an anniversary card I made for a couple at church.

I used my new Spellbinders Vines of Passion heart dies and cut the solid heart and the flourish heart and layered them.  The white heart is mounted with foam tape.  The sentiment from SU Teeny Tiny Wishes (retired) is stamped on a banner from SU Bloomin' Love.   I fussy cut it and mounted it with foam tape.  The embossed panel is made with Sizzix Tim Holtz Regal Flourishes EF.  I added a few rhinestones for a little bling.  The cardstock is SU Sahara Sand and Recollections White.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday

Happy Thursday friends.  We have another new challenge for you at Seize the Birthday and this week it is anything goes, for a birthday, of course.

For my card I used this week's Mojo Monday Sketch 468
and my new Verve stamps Kindness Matters and the matching dies Great Kindness.  I stamped the flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white CS and sponged SU Baha Beeze ink on the petals.  I layered the flower and added a large golden rhinestone to the center.  The leaves are also cut with the same die set using Pear Pizzazz CS.  The DSP I used was on my desk and is from an older paper pad and I don't have the name.  It has sparkle to it.  I cut the small tags with an older McGill punch.  I punched a hole in the tops and added Black/White Baker's Twine.  The sentiment is Verve's Happy Birthday Plain Jane stamp (sorry, it may be discontinued as I couldn't find it on the site).  The sentiment panel is cut with Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Mats-Rounded Rectangles dies, but I only cut part of the way and then put it back in the die and cut the other end to make it a square.  The tags and flower are mounted with foam tape.

Now check out all the fabulous cards by the designers over at Seize the Birthday.
I hope you will join us.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Baby Photo Folios

I found this video on You Tube with the directions for making these adorable photo folios so I tried making a couple and I love how they turned out.  They are not as involved as the mini albums.  Here is the link if you are interested.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BiYPopYENo.  Thank you Sharon for the tutorial.

I am showing photos of them closed and then opened.  The middle section opens and has a waterfall section to add more photos.  I used assorted papers, dies, and embellishments.  If you have any questions, just leave me a comment.
