Hello friends. I have a new birthday card to share today. I made this one for the Paper Players Challenge #777 - Clean and Simple with Florals. You know I had to play since the theme was florals - my favorite kind of card to make.
I do have a hard time with clean and simple, but I managed to to do it with Spellbinders Layered Anemone dies. I have had the dies for a while but I think this is the first time I have used them. I cut the blooms from a peachy pink from my stash and blended a little Saltwater Taffy DOI in the centers before gluing them together. The stems and leaves are cut from SU Garden Green and I also blended Bundled Sage DOI on the edges to lighten them a little. The leaves are actually from a Simon Says Stamp die set, as is the flower centers cut from SU Daffodil Delight. I mounted the flowers with foam tape to a panel embossed with SU Dainty Delight EF (ret.) and then glued the stems and leaves on. The sentiment is from Gina K. Designs Elegant Thoughts stamped in Garden Green, die cut with the matching die and mounted with foam tape. The whole panel was glued to the card base. That's it for my card.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.
Happy Stamping,
JoAnn

This is a lovely way to send happy birthday wishes!
ReplyDeleteYou nailed the CAS and beautiful! I love those flowers you created!
ReplyDeleteI think you and I could make cards like this all day, JoAnn. Two anemone make a great bouquet on the embossed background and leaves the card CAS.
ReplyDeleteOh, JoAnn, I think you're a CAS pro! This darling card is the evidence of that!

JoAnn I think you definitely channelled your inner CAS-goddess with this one! Your simple diecut blooms and sentiment are lovely and the background embossing just enough to add interest without overwhelming you 'white space'. Just beautiful! Thanks for sharing with us over at The Paper Players this week!
ReplyDeleteJoAnn, this is lovely! Cutting and popping up the sentiment gives is a nice pop. Thanks for sharing with us at The Paper Players.
