Seize the Birthday - Add a Tag

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Jules wants us to Add a Tag to our card.
I used Simon Says Stamp Rustic Layering Flower for my bloom.  I used Pale Papaya card for the flower and blended Grapefruit Grove ink in the centers of the 3 layers, then glued them together.  I added a brown center, colored with a Copic marker.  The leaves are cut from Granny Apple Green and blended with a little Mowed Lawn DOI.  I cut the largest and smallest tags from SU Tailor Made Tags dies (ret.) and mounted the flower on the largest tag and added a bow to the top with a glue dot.  I stamped the sentiment on the small tag.  I cut a panel of Pale Papaya and glued it to the card base and then added a white panel embossed with SU Crosshatch EF (ret).  I mounted the large tag with foam tape and then added the small tag under the flower petals with foam tape.

Check out all the inspiration by the DT and our Party Guest over at Seize the Birhday.  I hope you will join us in this fun challenge.  Hope to see you in the gallery.

I am sharing at AAA Birthday - use die cuts.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Freshly Made Sketches #728

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card made with the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  Thanks Narelle for a fun sketch.  Lots of inspiration by the team and in the gallery.  I am glad I could get a card done.

I used Spellbinders Club Blooms for the pretty flowers and leaves.  I cut the flowers from SU Pale Papaya (ret) and blended SU Grapefruit Grove Ink (ret) in the centers.  The larger flowers are 2 pieces glued together.  I cut the centers from Soft Suede card.  The leaves are cut from Soft Sea Foam and I blended Bundled Sage DOI on them.  I glued the flowers and leaves on a panel of SU Basic Beige embossed with SU Cross-Hatch EF, and then to the white card base.  The sentiment is from an older SU set, stamped in Soft Suede ink and mounted with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

The Paper Players #777

Hello friends.  I have a new birthday card to share today.  I made this one for the Paper Players Challenge #777 - Clean and Simple with Florals.   You know I had to play since the theme was florals - my favorite kind of card to make.

I do have a hard time with clean and simple, but I managed to to do it with Spellbinders Layered Anemone dies.  I have had the dies for a while but I think this is the first time I have used them.  I cut the blooms from a peachy pink from my stash and blended a little Saltwater Taffy DOI in the centers before gluing them together.  The stems and leaves are cut from SU Garden Green and I also blended Bundled Sage DOI on the edges to lighten them a little.  The leaves are actually from a Simon Says Stamp die set, as is the flower centers cut from SU Daffodil Delight.  I mounted the flowers with foam tape to a panel embossed with SU Dainty Delight EF (ret.) and then glued the stems and leaves on.  The sentiment is from Gina K. Designs Elegant Thoughts stamped in Garden Green, die cut with the matching die and mounted with foam tape.  The whole panel was glued to the card base. That's it for my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Anniversary Blessings

Hello friends.  So glad you stopped by.  I am working on Anniversary cards for April and have several to make - this is the first one.  I was inspired by this card on Pinterest but I changed the colors and sentiment.

I used Spellbinders Stylish Oval Hello You Floral dies for the pretty blooms die cut from a pale blue and then blended SU Baha Breeze (ret.) ink in the centers before gluing them together.  I also cut an extra layer of the middle bloom and layered it.  I cut the leaves from SU Granny Apple Green.  The white panels are cut with Spellbinders Infinity Punch & Pierce Plate and the center panel is mounted with foam tape.  They are mounted to a panel of blue from my stash, then to the white card base.  The sentiment is from an older set from Creative Worship Stamps. with foam tape in the center as the smaller flowers have foam tape under them.  I also blended ink on the top layer of the flower center before gluing to the white layer, then to the flowers.  I really love the finished card.

I will link to the Triple B March Challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Treat Pouch

Hello friends.  I have had a busy couple of weeks and this is what I have been working on, other than a few cards.  I downloaded The Paper Pixie's Project Sheet for these Mini Treat Pouches and made 50 of them for table favors at our church's Widows Luncheon today.   Everyone loved them.

I used different pattern papers in different colors and  I think they all turned out great.  The sentiment is from a retired SU set and is cut with an oval die.  I put 2 miniature Hershey Bars in each pouch.  Here is a link to Julie's Youtube video which has a link to her Project Sheet if anyone is interested.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Thinking of You

Hello friends.  I have a new card to share today.  I made this one for a friend who recently had knee surgery.  I used the Color Hues Challenge colors of green and gold, and no flowers. 😃

The pattern paper is from a Honey Bee Christmas pad.  I like that the green had the gold stripes in it.  I used mat gold foil card to cut the frame (Recollections) and the strip from Spellbinders Ribbon & Trim dies.  The frame die cuts out the center so I had to cut it out of white also to stamp the sentiment from SU Happy Thoughts (ret.).  I mounted the white oval with foam tape to the center of the gold frame after gluing the strip and frame down.  I added 3 small gold beads for a little bling.  I think the card is clean and simple but elegant.

I will also add this to Darnell's NBUS #84 as this is the first time I have used both die sets.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,
JoAnn

Seize the Birthday - Main Color of Green

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and I am the hostess for this challenge.  I chose to use green as the main color since St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner.  It can always be our "Anything Goes" for a birthday - the choice is yours.

I embossed a panel of SU Garden Green with Altenew Textured Tiles EF and then mounted it to the white card base.  I used my new SU Simply Beautiful set and stamped the flower and leaves on white with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then blended DOI Squeezed Lemonade in the center of the flower and DOI Bundled Sage on the leaves.  I don't have the dies yet, so I fussy cut the flower and leaves and then mounted them with foam tape to the green panel.  Then sentiment is stamped and die cut using Gina K. Designs Elegant Thoughts.  I mounted it with thin strips of foam tape.  I added Spellbinders Black Dimensional Dots for a little bling and my card was done.

Check out all the different cards by the DT and out Party Guests over at Seize the Birthday and join in our fun challenge.  Hope to see you in our gallery.

I will send this to Just Us Girls Challenge - Emboss
