Another Anniversary Card

I am sharing another anniversary card for a couple at church.  I was inspired by this card I saw on Pinterest (thanks Lin).  I thought it was so pretty and perfect for an anniversary.
SSS June6

The heart and flowers are from Impession Obsession Floral Heart Set and matching dies.  I colored the flowers with Promarkers and used the die to cut them, then mounted them with foam tape to the die cut heart.  The yellow paper is from a Recollections 6x6 pad.  I used a Spellbinders die to cut the curved scallop edge.  The sentiment is from Verve Love Story.  I embossed the bottom of the white panel with an older impression plate and then added a few yellow sequins from my stash.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Anniversary for friends

Hello friends.  I am sharing a card I made for sweet friends at church.
I used Altenew Layered Paid Cover Die A for the white panel and placed some blue pattern paper from my stash behind it and then adhered it to my card base.  The flowers are from SU Flower Shop and Petite Petals (both retied).  I stamped them on light pink card, punch them with the matching punches and then sponged Blushing Bride ink on the petals.  I shaped the petals, layered then and added Nuvo drops to the centers.  They are mounted with foam tape.  I added the leaves from an older SU Secret Garden set stamped in Wild Wasabi and die cut with the matching die.  The sentiment is from MFT Together Forever and cut with an MFT Pierced Fishtail Flag die.  I die cut one end and then re-inserted it in the die to cut the other end.  This is mounted with foam tape also.

I am entering my card at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Bright and Cheerful.  I think anniversaries are very cheerful.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I appreciate it when you take time to visit and to leave your comments.

Merry Monday #296 - Create a Rustic Card

Good Morning friends.  Our new challenge at Merry Monday this week is brought to us by Nina and she would like us to create a rustic Christmas card.
I used an older stamp by Stampendous called Christmas Cottage.  It is such a serene and peaceful image.  I stamped it in SU Soft Suede ink on MFT Natural Cardstock, then inked around the edges with Natural ink and added a few touches of color with my Prismacolor Pencils.  There was no room for a greeting so the sentiment will be on the inside.  I mounted the stamped panel on SU Soft Suede CS and then on the Natural card base.

I hope you will check out all the fabulous cards by the design team at Merry Monday and join in our fun challenge.  This will be our last challenge as Lesley has decided to close the Merry Monday Challenge.  I will miss everyone on the design team and making Christmas cards each week.  I will definitely be participating in other challenges and still making my Christmas cards.  It is so much easier to have them done by the time December rolls around.

Thank you Lesley and Lori for having me on the design team.  I have enjoyed being on the team and working with everyone in the challenges.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday Wishes for Seize the Birthday

Happy Thursday friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time it is "Anything Goes" as long as it is for a birthday.

I used an older sketch from Freshly Made Sketches for my card.

I got this Art Impressions Cupcake BFFs stamp at the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo show earlier this year and have been wanting to use it.  I inked her up and stamped her on X-press It Blending Card and colored her with Copics.  I fussy cut her out and mounted her with foam tape on the panel cut with MFT Stitched Rectangle.  The sentiment is from SU Simply Sketched.  I also added some MME Enamel Dots for a little extra touch.  The DSP is from an older Pebbles Yours Truly 6x6 pad.

Don't forget to check out all the fabulous cards by my teammates over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will join us for this fun challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Merry Monday #295 - Photo Inspiration

Hello friends and welcome to another Merry Monday Challenge.  This week Marcia would like us to use the photo inspiration for our Christmas cards.

I used a jar image from Inkadinkado stamps, stamped it on vellum and then on white cardstock.  I punched out some peppermint images from Christmas paper and layered them on the white and then added the vellum over them.  I printed the Merry Christmas from my computer and punched it with a small tag punch.  I added some gold twine to the tag and then placed it under the red jute bow.  The sentiment is from MFT Dashing Deer set.  The pine branches are from Diemond Dies.  I embossed the white panel with SU Pinewood Planks EF, added a piece of wood grain paper at the bottom and then added the jar with foam tape, and glued the pine branches in the top corner.

I hope you will check out all the great cards by the design team over at Merry Monday Christmas Challenge and be inspired to join us this week.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday for Just Us Girls

When I saw Just Us Girls Color Week challenge of red, black, and your choice, I had to play along.  I love this color combination, especially for flowers.
I used green as my choice for the leaves with my flowers.
I used black mats and the black pattern paper is from a Christmas pad by the Paper Studio.  The red/white strip is from MFT Hearts & Stripes paper pad.  It matches the MFT Electric Red ink I stamped the PTI Gran's Garden flowers in.  It is a 2-step stamp and I stamped both layers in Electric Red.  The leaves are stamped with SU Garden Green.  I used the matching dies to die-cut them with.  The sentiment is from an older SU set and the panel is cut with an MFT die.  I mounted the sentiment panel and the flowers with foam tape.  The white panel is embossed with a Sizzix EF.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Sending Thoughts and Prayers

I will be sending this card to a sick friend and I made it using this week's Just Us Girls challenge - Alcohol Inks.
Well this is my first time playing with alcohol inks and I like it.  I will have to play some more.  I only had 3 colors and I watched several videos on YouTube before I attempted it.  I used Ranger Glossy Alcohol Ink paper and felt blending pads to add the 3 colors and then on a section of the sheet I dropped the colors in on top of the blended inks and blew with a straw.  That is the section I cut the leaf border from.  I die cut the flowers and leaves from the plain sections (you know I had to use a flower :)).  The flowers are made with SU Botanical Builders dies and I added a pearl to the center.  The sentiment is from Verve Inspire Hope stamped on a Spellbinder Circle die cut and matted with the Small Scallop Circle in black.  I mounted this panel with foam tape.

Since I used a flower, I will enter this one at The Flower Challenge #21 - Use a Previous Challenge.   I chose Challenge 18 again - Anything Goes.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment.
Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday for The Flower Challenge

I made another birthday card and am entering it in The Flower Challenge #21 - Use a Previous Challenge.

I chose Challenge #18 - Anything Goes.  I love making floral cards as you probably can tell if you have followed my blog. :)  I give most of them to my friends at church and my family.  They are always appreciative of them.

For my card I used the flower image from SU Flourishing Phrases and stamped it two times in Daffodil Delight ink.  I fussy cut the flowers, just cutting the smaller layer from one.  I mounted the smaller layer with foam tape and added a pearl to the center.   I embossed the white panel with SU Pinewood Planks EF.  The leaves are from an older Sizzix die, Branch with Leaves, cut from SU Wild Wasabi.  I cut an MFT Stitched Fishtail Flag die and stamped the birthday sentiment.  I mounted this with foam tape

Hello for Color Throwdown 496

Hello friends.  I made a card for my sister using this week's Color Throwdown colors.  Blue is my favorite color and I think it is striking with black and white.
For my card I used the flowers from SU Flourishing Phrases and stamped it 4 times in MFT Blue Raspberry ink.  I fussy cut the center layers on 2, added a pearl to the centers and mounted them with foam tape.  I stamped the background with SU Gorgeous Grunge and Memento Tuxedo Black ink, stamped off once for a lighter touch.  The pattern paper is an older sheet I had and I don't know who it is by.  I added punched scallop borders in black.  The black flourishes are from MFT Simple Leaf Flourish.  Finally, I added Impression Obsession Hello die (#DIE174-W).

Thanks so much for stopping by and thanks for taking the time to leave a comment.  Have a wonderful day.

Merry Monday #294 - Add a Barn

Good Morning friends.  For our Merry Monday challenge this week Leanne wants us to add a barn to our Christmas card.
My barn is in Florida so it doesn't have a snowy scene. :)   I cut my barn with a design from the Silhouette Store.  I stamped MFT Wood Plank Background to my barn before adding the cut out pieces.  I also used my white gel pen to draw the window panes.  I tore a piece of Crumb Cake CS for the sand part, added a green hilly section with a die from MFT, and the trees are from SU Card Front Builder Thinlits set (retired).  I sponged some clouds with Taylored Expressions Cloud Border die.  The sentiment is from an old Martha Stewart  Clear Gift Tag Stamps set.  The barn is mounted with foam tape.

You should check out all the great cards by my teammates over at Merry Monday.  I hope you will join us this week.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday for The Flower Challenge

I made a birthday card for a friend using The Flower Challenge #21 - Use a Previous Challenge

After perusing the previous challenges, I chose Challenge #3 - Use an older stamp or die

I used a Sizzix/Hero Arts stamp and die set that I have had for quite a while.  I can't remember when I bought it; it was made in 2011 so I don't think it is available.  I stamped the flower/leaves image in SU Wild Wasabi and also in Cameo Coral.  I stamped the coral flowers twice and then fussy cut them, and shaped the petals, so I could arrange them how I wanted.  I clipped the green leaves image in sections also and rearranged them.  They are mounted with foam tape on a panel cut with Lil' Inker Designs Side Stitched Rectangle die.  I also added a butterfly from the same set and only glued it in the middle after shaping the wings.  The sentiment is from SU Beautiful Birthday (retired).  I stamped the background paper with MFT Diagonal Stripes Background in SU Cameo Coral ink.  The mats are SU Cameo Coral CS.  I added pearls to the flower centers and scattered some tiny pearls around the sentiment and mounted this panel with foam tape also.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Beachy

Hello friends and happy Thursday.  We have a new challenge this week at Seize the Birthday and it is a beachy theme.  Remember it is our "Toppings" option and the only real requirement is that it be a birthday project.

For my card I created a beach scene by tearing a piece of paper and taping it over the panel and sponged on MFT Natural ink for the sand, then covered that area and sponged on two Distress inks in Tumbled Glass and Salt Ocean for the water.  After that I used Taylored Expressions Cloud border die to sponge on the clouds.
I stamped the cute MFT PI Beach Day image, colored her with Copics and then fussy cut her out.  She is mounted with foam tape.  The palm trees are from MFT Penguins in Paradise.  One tree I stamped straight and the second one I curved it on the stamp block before stamping it.  I fussy cut them and mounted the curved one on top with foam tape.  I stamped sentiment from Papertrey Ink Tulip Time in SU Crumb Cake to look like it was written in the sand.  As a final touch, I die cut a small sunflower die, cut it down, and added it for a sun.

Now check out all the great beachy birthday cards by my teammates over at Seize the Birthday and join in this fun challenge.

I am also linking my card to Just Us Girls Word Week - Outside theme.  Since my card is the perfect outside scene I thought it would fit.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Anniversary

I made this card for our pastor and his wife.  I was inspired by a card I thought I saw on Pinterest but I can't find it now.  It could have been on one of the challenges.  If I find it, I will link it.  Anyway,  I used two different EF and different flowers for my card, but the layout is the same except the other card was square and only had one flower.
I used Heartfelt Creations Botanical Rose, stamped with Versamark ink on Rich Razzleberry CS  and embossed them with white embossing powder.  I die cut them with the matching Botanical Wings die set and added white pearls to the centers.  The green swirl is Cheery Lynn Designs Fanciful Flourish die cut in SU Pear Pizzazz.  The sentiment was embossed in white on Rich Razzleberry CS.  The two embossing folders are the Paper Stuido Timeless Hearts and Darice Stripes.  I used Spellbinders border dies to cut the angled pieces.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Merry Monday #293 - Add Christmas Angels

Hello Merry Monday fans. This week Linda's challenge is to add Christmas angels to our Christmas card.  I love angels and have quite a few stamps so it was hard to choose just one.

I settled on this sweet angel by C.C. Designs called Baby Jesus and Angel.  It is an older stamp and I have had it for quite awhile.  I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copics and Promarkess.  I die cut the image with an MFT Rounded Banner Stax die and mounted it with foam tape.  I stamped the star image on some gold foil and fussy cut it, then stamped it in Gold Delicata ink and glued the foil star over it.  The sentiment is from a digi set by Verve called Christmas Blessings, punched with a circle punch and mounted with foam tape.  The pattern paper is from an older Paper Studio Christmas pad and matted with a lt. blue cardstock to pick up the blue in the angel wings.

Don't forget to check out all the sweet angel cards by the Design Team at Merry Monday.  I hope you will join us in this fun challenge.  It is a good way to get those Christmas cards done before December.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.
