Merry Monday # - Use Poinsettia(s)

Hello Merry Monday Fans.  I am your host this week over at Merry Monday and I would like you to use poinsettia(s) on your Christmas card.  I think poinsettias are so pretty at Christmas and I can't wait to see what you create with them.
For my card I stamped Sweet 'n Sassy's Poinsettia twice and colored it with Promarkers and then fussy cut the poinsettia from one and layered it over the bottom flower, offsetting it a little so that it would look fuller.  The sentiment is from the same set and stamped in SU Wild Wasabi ink and then cut with an MFT stitched oval and mounted with foam tape.  I added it with foam tape over a PTI Mix & Mat Flourishes die.  The bottom white layer is embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

I hope you will check out all the great cards by the designers over at Merry Monday and join us in this week's challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Papertrey Ink February Blog Hop Challenge

Hello friends.  I am sharing an anniversary card I made for a couple at church.  I used the PTI Blog Hop inspiration photo and was inspired by the pink flowers around the pretty centerpiece. Love all the springy colors.
I love PTI Gran's Flowers and have used it several times lately (and you will see more cards using these lovely flowers).  I stamped it in several shades of pink inks and die cut them with the matching dies.  They are mounted with foam tape for dimension.  The leaves are stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink and die cut with the matching die also.  The layered white die cut is a Spellbinders die.  The pink background paper is from a DCWV paper pad.  The sentiment is from PTI Just A Number set.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday for Viva la Verve

I am sharing a card I made for a good friend at church using the February Viva la Verve Sketch (love the sketch - this is my second card using it).  I used pattern papers from Recollections Home Basics 6x6 pad from Michael's, a strip of MFT Naural CS and thick white cardstock.  The sentiment is from Verve Cake & Candles, and was cut with Spellbinders circles and scallop circles with foam tape between the layers.  The flowers and leaves from PTI Gran's Garden were stamped with Daffodil Delight and Wild Wasabi inks, and die cut with the matching dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Merry Monday #278

Happy Monday friends.  Our challenge this week at Merry Monday is an inspiration photo brought to you by Debbie.

The wreath in the foreground is one of the things I spotted first so that is what inspired me.  I used a wreath die by My Favorite Things (discontinued), which has the bow die also.  I cut the wreath 4 times in different shades of green and layered them together.  I cut the bow from silver glitter card.  The pink poinsettias are cut with Poppystamps Small Blooming Poinsettia.  I used the two smallest flowers, layered them and added a rhinestone in the centers.  The background is embossed with SU Holly EF and matted with green.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink Beautiful Berries.

You should check out how the rest of the designers over at Merry Monday were inspired by this lovely photo.  I hope you will join us.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Birthday Wishes for Viva la Verve

Hello friends.  I am sharing a card I made for a friend at church using the February Viva la Verve Sketch.

I used 3 Verve sets: Wishful Elegance (sentiment) and Grateful Elegance for the flowers and the largest flower was a Plain Jane single stamp (sorry, they are all discontinued).  I colored the flowers with Promarkers and then fussy cut them, and layered them.  I added some blue Nuvo Drops to the centers to match the flowers on the DSP.  All the DSP, including the blue, is from a My Mind's Eye 12 x12 pad.  The leaves are punched with a SU punch and the white scallop border is also a SU punch.  The white circles are cut with Spellbinders dies and the top circle is mounted with foam tape to the scallop circle.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday for a Friend

Hello friends.  I am sharing another birthday card for a friend.  I am entering this one at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - add a die cut.

I have used 3 MFT dies for my card -  Stitched Circle Frame. Royal Leaves,  and  Sunflower die (may have been discontinued).  The sunflower is cut from SU Daffodil Delight, the leaves from Pear Pizzazz, and the frame and card base are Crumb Cake (kraft).  The frame is mounted with foam tape.  The white panel is embossed with an older Tim Holtz Brick Wall EF.  I cut another white circle to go in the frame and it is stamped with a sentiment from Just Rite Cupcake Wishes.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Sending You a Whole Latte Love

Happy Thursday friends.  We have a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time we have the "Toppings" option of coffee or tea on our cards.  Remember it is an option and the only requirement is that it be for a birthday.

For my card I printed the two images from the Silhouette store and then fussy cut them out.  I mounted them with foam tape on some lt. kraft DSP from Teresa Collins Something Wonderful 6x6 pad.  The top sentiment is from Verve Coffee Helps (and it is on sale) stamped directly on the DSP.  I created "on your Birthday" on my computer and die cut it was an MFT Fishtail Flags die and mounted it with foam tape.  The red mat is SU Cherry Cobbler and I added some red gemstones from Hobby Lobby to bring out the red hearts on the cups, and mounted it all on a kraft card base.

I am also linking up to The Paper Players Color Challenge - red, kraft, white.

Now check out what the rest of the design team created over on Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will join us.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Anniversary

Hello friends.  I am sharing another anniversary card I made for a couple at church.  It has to be mailed so I did not add any dimension to it, I just glued the elements on.
I used SU Baha Breeze card for the mat and center panel which is cut with Papertrey Ink Mix & Match Flourishes die.  I stamped the background panel with MFT Gingham Background in Baha Breeze ink.  The flowers are from Our Daily Bread Designs Hello Friend stamp and die set (I love this set).  I colored them with Promarkers and then die cut them.  The sentiment is from Verve Love Story (sorry, it is discontinued) and is die cut with MFT Stitched Ovals and Mini Scalloped Stitched Ovals die sets and matted with SU Flirty Flamingo.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Merry Monday #277 - Use a Stencil

Good morning friends and welcome to a new challenge for Merry Monday.  This week Deanne is our host and wants us to use a stencil to create our card.
I used a Heidi Swapp stripe stencil and MFT Electric Red ink to create the background panel and matted it with Electric Red CS.  The cute snowman is a digi image and I can't remember where I got it, I think it was from Pinterest.  I colored him with Promarkers and die cut him with an MFT Pierced Oval die.  The Electric Red mat was also cut with a larger MFT Pierced Oval die.  I mounted this panel with foam tape.  I had stamped the sentiment on the snowman panel but it didn't stamp good (should have used my Misti), so I stamped it on a scrap and cut it into a banner shape, and mounted it with foam tape.  I curved the stamp to make it fit on the oval.  I also added some Fun Flock for the snow at the bottom.

Now check out all the great ways the designers used stencils over at Merry Monday.  I hope you will join us this week.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful week.

Thank You for a friend

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing a card I made for a good friend at church.  She has done a lot of work coordinating our Valentine Banquet and I wanted to let her know she is appreciated.
The DSP is a light woodgrain from a Recollections pad and I also embossed it with the SU Woodplank EF.  The doily is by Top Dog Dies but is no longer available.  The flowers are SU Garden in Bloom, stamped with Basic Gray (outline) and Blushing Bride ink, and then fussy cut them.  I colored the centers with my yellow marker and added Wink of Stella.  The leaves are from SU Botanical Builder Framelits cut in Pear Pizzazz CS.  I die cut a cirle for the Sentiment from SU Four You and added it to the doily with foam tape.  The doily is also mounted with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Valentine (please be mine)

Hello friends.  Today I have a Valentine card to share.  I used Spellbinders Lace Hearts.  The sentiment is an older SU stamp and the DSP is from SU Stacked With Love pad (retired).  The mats and scallop heart are cut from SU Real Red CS.  I added a Bakers Twine bow and some little red dots with Nuvo Drops.  This card will be going to our Pastor's wife at our Valentine Banquet this weekend.   I also stamped her favorite Bible verse inside, and I  made a different card for our Pastor.

I am linking my card at The Paper Players Valentine theme

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look.  Have a wonderful day.

Merry Monday #276

Hello friends and happy Monday.  It is time for a new challenge at Merry Monday and this week Colleen would like us to use this photo  as inspiration for our Christmas cards.
As you can see, there are lots of things in the photo to inspire us, but I went with the candles and used this Poinsettias and Candles set by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  I colored it with Copics and die cut it with MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangles.  I added some Wink of Stella to the tray and the candle flames, although it doesn't show up in the photo.  The sentiment is from the same set and cut with the smallest die from the MFT set.  The DSP is from an older DCWV Christmas Mat Stack, matted with red CS.  I added some red/white Baker's Twine and then mounted the image and sentiment panel with foam tape.

Now hop over to Merry Monday and check out all the fabulous cards by the other designers.  I hope you will join us.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Hello friends.  I am sharing a card I made for special friends that always do so much for our annual class reunions.  I wanted them to know they are appreciated.
I used the same new Our Daily Bread Designs set I used on my last card,  Hello Friend.  It comes with the matching dies. I love this set and will be using it a lot.  I colored them with Copic markers and then die cut them.  The filigree frame is by Joy Crafts and the sentiment is from SU Four You.  I mounted this with foam tape.  The DSP is from a Recollections 6x6 pad.

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing an anniversary card I made for some special friends.

I was inspired by this beautiful card by Diana Nguyen, thank you Diana.
As  you can see I used the same stamp set, paper, and layout, but I used different dies and sentiment.  The flowers and leaves are from the new Our Daily Bread Designs Hello Friend (stamp & die set) and the paper is ODBD Romantic Roses.  I colored the flowers and leaves with Copic markers.  The sentiment is from Verve's Love Everlasting, stamped on  a panel cut with Spellbinders Elegant Ovals die and matted with MFT Natural CS cut with Spellbinders Oval Floral die.  The bottom border is cut with a PTI Filigree Border die.  I mounted the flowers, leaves, and the sentiment panels with foam tape.

So Much Cake - Seize the Birthday

Happy Thursday friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this week we have the "Toppings" option to use candles on our birthday project.

For my card I used this cute bear with his cake and candles from MFT Beary Special Birthday and colored him with Promarkers.  I die cut him with the matching Beary Special Birthday die and mounted him with foam tape on an MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  I matted this with SU Baha  Breeze and then mounted it with foam tape on some older SU DSP (retired), then a white mat and a Baha Breeze card base.

Be sure to check out all the lovely cards by my teammates over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will be inspired to play along with us.
