Merry Monday #267 - Blue, Green, and White/Vellum/Silver

Hello friends and happy Monday.  I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend and are ready for a new Merry Monday challenge, gotta get those Christmas cards done as it is only 4 weeks until Christmas.
This week Colleen wants us to use blue, green and silver/white/vellum on our cards.
For my card I used SU Tempting Turquoise CS for the card base and ink for the blue ornament, and Pear Pizzazz CS for the Memory Box Pine Needle Border and Pear Pizzazz ink for the green ornament.   The ornaments are from SU Ornament Keepsakes stamp set (retired), cut with the matching framelits dies, and are mounted with foam tape.  I stamped just the hanger part of the ornament in silver ink and fussy cut it to glue on the top.  I die cut the bows from Memory Box Precious Hearts out of Brushed Silver paper.  The sentiment is from Verve Peace on Earth.  The background panel is embossed with SU Pinewood Planks EF.

Check out all the great ways the designers have used these colors over on Merry Monday blog. I hope you will be inspired to play along with us.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Birthday Wishes

Hello friends and happy Saturday.  I hope all my US friends had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I did and ate too much, as usual.
Today I am sharing a card I made for a dear friend at church.  I don't use these colors often but I think it turned out really pretty.
I used several retired SU products, Secret Garden stamps and framelits, Gumball Green ink (leaves),   and Four You stamp set (sentiment).  I used Calypso Coral Ombre ribbon (new), and Calypso Coral ink to stamp the flowers.  I clipped between the petals, shaped them a little and added a rhinestone to the centers. The flowers are mounted with foam tape, as is the sentiment panel which is cut with an MFT Pierced Square die.  The main panel is SU Cajun Craze and is embossed with SU Pinewood Plank EF.  I love this embossing folder.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Monochromatic

Hello friends, I hope you are having a blessed Thanksgiving.  This post is scheduled and at this time I am enjoying dinner with my family.

We have a new challenge over at Seize the Birthday and the "Toppings" option is monochromatic. Remember it is an option and the only requirement is that it be for a birthday.

I used 2 red pattern papers from American Crafts Crimson 6x6 pad and matted the sentiment panel with Recollections red CS.  I stamped the flower from SU Flower Shop in SU Real Red ink and sponged the petal edges with the same ink.  I shaped the petals and added some black micro beads to the center of the flower, then mounted it with foam tape.  The sentiment is from Verve Cake and Candles and that panel is also mounted with foam tape.  The white background panel was embossed with Darice Linked Circles EF.

Now check our what the rest of the designers have created for this challenge over at Seize the Birthday   I hope you will join us.

This is our last challenge for 2017, we will see you in 2018.  Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,
JoAnn

Merry Monday #266 - Santa

Hello and happy Monday friends.  It is time for a new Merry Monday Challenge and this week Sue wants us to use a Santa on our Christmas card.  I hope you are busy getting your Christmas cards done.  It is only five weeks until Christmas.

I used this cute Santa, tree and sentiment from MFT Jingle All the Way.  I colored them with Copics and Promarkers and cut them out with the matching dies.  I punched out some ornaments from red, gold, and silver glitter paper, and then added Wink of Stella to the star to make it glittery also.  I mounted them on DSP embossed with SU Stripes EF.  I added a piece of different woodgain paper across the bottom and colored the shadow in, but got it a little darker than what I wanted.. The red check paper is from American Crafts Crimson 6x6 pad.  I added black mats and punched the scallop border with a retired SU border punch.  The image panel and the sentiment are both mounted with foam tape.

I hope you will check out all the great inspiration by my teammates over at Merry Monday and join us in this fun challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Merry Monday #265 - Outdoor Winter Activity

Happy Monday friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Merry Monday and Nina wants us to create a card with an outdoor winter activity on it.
I decided to use my new Stampendous stamp I got at Michaels called Snowy Sled.  Aren't those sledding snowmen just the cutest?  I colored them with Promarkers and added Fun Flock to their hat brims, cuffs and to the snow under the sled.  I added details to the jackets with my white gel pen.  The sentiment is from Verve Light My World and the DSP is from American Crafts Wish List 6x6 pad.  I mounted the image panel with foam tape.

Be sure to check out all the great winter activity cards over at Merry Monday.  I hope you will join us this week.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday for November Viva la Verve

Hello friends.  I am sharing a card I made for the November Viva la Verve Sketch.  I love this sketch by Julee so I made a second card with this sketch.
This time I made a birthday card using Verve Kindness Matters (flower) and Cake and Candles (sentiment).  I stamped 2 of the flowers on the back of the striped DSP, fussy cut them out, and sponged SU Bordering Blue ink on the edges of the petals.  I layered them and added pearls to the center.  All the DSP is from an older Momenta Story of Us paper pad matted with black.  The scallop mat is from MFT Bluprints 20.  The white panel is embossed with a retired SU EF.  The sentiment panel is mounted with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Use Circles

Hello and Happy Thursday friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this week our "Toppings" option is to use circles on your card.

For my card I used some DSP from DCWV Basics 6x6 pad and matted it with SU Early Espresso cut with a scallop die from MFT Blueprints 20.  The circles were cut with MFT dies also in white and Early Espresso.  I added some felt flowers that I had cut awhile back and never used.  I don't remember which die I used to cut them. The die cut sentiment is from an Inmpression Obsession die set #DIE174-W

Be sure to check out all my teammates cards over at Seize the Birthday.  There are so many different ways to use circles on your card, I am sure you will be inspired.  Hope you will play along with us.

Welcome Little One for November Viva La Verve sketch

Hello crafty friends.  Today I am sharing a card for the November Viva la Verve sketch.
I substituted the circle and Verve Emery elephant (sorry, he has been discontinued) for the center rectangle panel.  I love this cute little elephant and have used him several times. I colored him with Promarkers and fussy cut him out.  I die cut the sentiment and Blushing Bride mat with MFT Circle Stax dies.  The sentiment is from Verve Little Ones and mounted with foam tape.  The DSP is from Authentique Cuddle 12x12 pad and all the mats are Blushing Bride. I embossed the background panel with a Darice heart EF.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hope you have a wonderful day.
