Merry Monday #259 - Add a Christmas tree to your card

Happy Monday friends.  This week's host at Merry Monday challenge is Deanne and she would like for us to add a Christmas tree to our card.
For my card I used this older Stampabilities Tree With Presents.  It is my first time using this stamp (NBUS).  As you can see it is a large image and a lot of coloring on those small ornaments.  I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Promarkers.  I used my clear glitter gel  pen on the large star, small stars and icicle ornaments (they look white in the photo, except for the large star).  I also added white stripes to the green present and dots to the pink present with a white gel pen.  I was just going to sponge the brick wall around the tree but had a booboo so I ended up fussy cutting the image (boy was that tedious) but I like how it turned out.  I used MFT's Brick Wall stencil and molding paste on the white panel to make my brick wall, and then added the tree with foam tape.  The sentiment from Lawn Fawn Tobaggan Together was stamped with MFT Electric Red ink.  The green mat is Recollections CS.

I hope you will check out all the fabulous cards by my teammates over at Merry Monday.  Hope to see you in the gallery.

I am going to link this one up with Darnell's NBUS #12 as I haven't used this stamp before.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,
JoAnn

  6. First of all, JoAnn, your coloring and glittering of that tree is outstanding! And what a happy accident this was - even though the fussy cutting was a pain - because that textured brick wall behind is sensational and the tree looks even more WOW popped up!! Thank you so much for playing three times in my NBUS Challenge #12! Hugs, Darnell
