Sweet Holiday Wishes for Merry Monday #263

Happy Monday friends.  This week at Merry Monday Challenge Lori wants us to use this photo as inspiration for our card.
I was inspired by the hot cocoa theme and the red and brown in the photo so I made these adorable hot chocolate cups from kraft CS with a cut from my Silhouette Cameo and made the hearts red.  I added the white band and layered white behind the cutouts.  I also added faux pen stitching around the cups. The sentiment is done on my computer and cut with an MFT Fistail Flag die.  I mounted it and the cups with foam tape.  The DSP is by The Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby.

I hope you will be inspired to play along.  Hope to see you in the gallery at Merry Monday.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Use a Kraft Card Base

Hi friends.  It's Thursday and you know what that means. :)  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time our "Toppings" option is to use a kraft card base.
I used the MFT Wood Plank Background and MFT Sweet Tooth (white) ink to stamp on my kraft card base.  I then stamped this pretty Spring Tulips image by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and colored it with Promarkers.  I die cut it with Lil' Inker Designs Side Stitched Rectangles and mounted it with foam tape.  The sentiment is from Just Rite Cupcake Wishes, stamped on a circle die cut with MFT Blueprints 13.  The kraft mat is cut with the same die set and this is mounted with foam tape.

Now check out all the fabulous cards by my teammates over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will be inspired to join us.

The mats are Night of Navy CS.  I die cut the sentiment and mat with dies from MFT Blueprints 13.  The DSP is from Happy Holidays by the Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby.  I mounted the image panel and the sentiment with foam tape.

Happy Birthday for The Paper Players

Good Morning friends.  Today I am sharing a card I made for a sweet lady at church.  I used the Paper Players Sketch Challenge #367
I stamped MFT Garden Flourish Background in SU Crumb Cake and matted it with Crumb Cake.  Then I cut MFT Pierced Fishtail Flag die (I linked the stitched dies as the pierced ones are no longer available) with Crumb Cake and added that to the base panel.  I also used the same die to cut the sentiment panel but didn't use the end of it.  The sentiment is from JustRite Large Fancy Sentiments.  I mounted this panel with foam tape and then added the MFT Upsy Daisy flower and leaves (discontinued).  I mounted the flower with foam tape also.

I am also linking to the Shop Our Stash challenge #326 - use any sketch. This is my first time playing in this challenge and I think it is a fun one as I have lots of "Stash". :)   Love this sketch at the Paper Players and will probably be using it again.

Merry Monday Challenge #262 - Add a Gift

Happy Monday friends.  Linda is our hostess this week over at the Merry Monday Challenge and she wants us to add a gift to our Christmas card.

This cute elf holding a gift, the tree, and the stack of gifts are from MFT Santa's Elves.  I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black on Xpress-It Blending card and colored them with Copics and Promarkers.  I cut them with the matching MFT dies. I punched some small circle ornaments out of gold, red, and silver glitter paper to decorate the tree.  I added shine to the star, buttons and bell on his hat with my clear glitter gel pen.  I added white stripes and dots to the gifts with my white gel pen.  The white panel is cut with Lil' Inker Designs Side Stitched Rectangles die and mounted with foam tape.  The sentiment is from an old SU set cold Cute and Curly.  I cut around it and mounted it with foam tape.  The elf and stack of gifts are also mounted with foam tape.  The green and plaid DSP are from Authentique Festive collection.

I hope you check out the inspiration by my teammates over at Merry Monday Challenge and be inspired to play along with us.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Thinking of You

I made this card for a sweet lady that is in the hospital.  I wanted her to know I was thinking of her.
I used one of my favorite flower sets - Peony Bouquet by Altenew.  I stamped it in different shades of peach/orange inks and mounted it with foam tape.  The DSP is from Authentique Grace Collection and is matted with MFT Natural CS.  The sentiment is from MFT Spring Tulips (discontinued)- I masked off the bottom portion of the sentiment, then cut it with an MFT Pierced Fishtail Flag die.  The small enamel dot is by SU.

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches

I am also linking to The Flower Challenge  #13- use your favorite flower.  I have so many favorite flowers, but this is definitely one of them.  The Flower Challenge is celebrating their first birthday this month.  I would love to win prize #4.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Merry Monday Challenge #261 - Add an Ornament

Happy Monday friends.  Are you ready for a new challenge at Merry Monday.  This week Kelly's challenge is to add an ornament to your Christmas card.
I looked at different ornaments I have but chose to use this digi image of a cute bear with ornaments (sorry I don't remember where I got it as I have had it for some time).  I colored him with Promarkers and cut him out with Spellbinders Oval and matted him with Spellbinders Scallop Oval in MFT Electric Red. I also added a mixture of Fun Flock and Flower Soft to the brim and pompom of his hat.  I stamped the Peace and Joy from Verve Inspire Hope (sorry, it has been discontinued) and then added Wink of Stella glitter to the ornaments.  This panel is mounted with foam tape.  The woodgrain DSP is from Recollections Cozy Cottage.

The light is reflecting off the ornaments in the above photo so I took another one so you can see the ornaments better.  They are so pretty IRL.

You should check out all the fabulous cards by the designers over at Merry Monday.  I hope you will be inspired to join us.

Merry Christmas

Happy Monday friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Merry Monday and our host Debbie wants us to create our Christmas card using this sketch:

I had fun working with this sketch and this is what I came up with.  I cut both the snowflakes (Taylored Expressions Make a Snowflake) and the greeting (Find It Trading Merry Christmas) from silver glitter paper.  I added a silver glitter border around the MFT Electric Red main panel.  I added rhinestones to the snowflake centers and added tiny rhinestones around for a little extra bling and then mounted this panel with foam tape.  The second layer is SU Naturals White and the DSP is from Studio Calico Wonderland 6x6 pad.  The card base is also Electric Red CS

Can't wait to see what you create using this sketch.  Be sure to check out all the great cards by the DT over at Merry Monday.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Anniversary

Happy Saturday friends.  I am sharing a card I made for a sweet couple at church.

I used this pretty flower from a Hampton Art set from Michael's.  I can't find a name on it but the number is SC0749.  I stamped the flower with Versamark ink on SU Baha Breeze CS and embossed with white embossing powder.  The leaves were embossed on SU Old Olive.  The sentiment is from JustRite Large Fancy Sentiments stamped on a panel cut with Lil Inker Designs Stitched Rounded Rectangles.  Since it had rounded corners I used my corner rounder punch to round all the corners of the DSP and mats.  The DSP is a scrap piece from another card and I don't remember which pad it is from.  I mounted the main panel with foam tape, glued the bottom flowers on and mounted the middle flower with foam tape.

I have so many flower stamps that it is hard to choose a favorite one, but I love this flower embossed in white on colored CS.  I am linking my card with The Flower Challenge #13 - use your favorite flower.  They are celebrating their first birthday and have prizes for the challenge.  You can check it out here.    ETA: I forgot to say I would love to win prize #5 from Powerpoppy.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Another Christmas card

I am working on my Christmas cards so I won't have to rush at the last minute.

I made this card using last week's Tuesday Morning Sketch #422, but didn't get it done to post in time so I am sharing it today.
I love the sketch and will probably use it again.  I like the way my card turned out.  I just got this DSP at JoAnn's, it is Holly on Green by Paper Pizzazz.  The flowers are Small Blooming Poinsettia by Poppystamps, cut from MFT Electric Red CS.  I layered the flowers, added a yellow rhinestone to the centers and adhered them with foam tape.  The strips are SU Always Artichoke and Electric Red.  The sentiment is from Verve Weary World stamp set.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Viva la Verve September Sketch

This is my second post today.  Scroll down for my Merry Monday card.
I made this baby card for a friend using the September Viva la Verve sketch.
I rotated the sketch so it would fit the sentiment better.  I used my new Verve Little Ones set for the greeting and the baby rattles, both stamped in SU Soft Suede.  I die cut the rattles with the matching Little Ones die set.  I mounted the greeting panel with foam tape.  The DSP is from Kaisercraft Peek-a-Boo Girl 12x12 pad.  I used this paper as I have made a mini album for the expectant mother and wanted the card to match (photos to come). The mats are SU Blushing Bride CS and the card base and greeting panel are SU Naturals White CS.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Merry Monday #259 - Add a Christmas tree to your card

Happy Monday friends.  This week's host at Merry Monday challenge is Deanne and she would like for us to add a Christmas tree to our card.
For my card I used this older Stampabilities Tree With Presents.  It is my first time using this stamp (NBUS).  As you can see it is a large image and a lot of coloring on those small ornaments.  I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Promarkers.  I used my clear glitter gel  pen on the large star, small stars and icicle ornaments (they look white in the photo, except for the large star).  I also added white stripes to the green present and dots to the pink present with a white gel pen.  I was just going to sponge the brick wall around the tree but had a booboo so I ended up fussy cutting the image (boy was that tedious) but I like how it turned out.  I used MFT's Brick Wall stencil and molding paste on the white panel to make my brick wall, and then added the tree with foam tape.  The sentiment from Lawn Fawn Tobaggan Together was stamped with MFT Electric Red ink.  The green mat is Recollections CS.

I hope you will check out all the fabulous cards by my teammates over at Merry Monday.  Hope to see you in the gallery.

I am going to link this one up with Darnell's NBUS #12 as I haven't used this stamp before.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.
