July 4th Anniversary Card

Hello Friends.  Today I am sharing another anniversary card for a couple at church whose anniversary is on July 4th.  I also have several more July anniversary cards to make.

I used SU Riding Hood Red CS and DSP from Recollections Home Basics 6x6 pad.  I fussy cut the banner shape and matted it on white CS.  The large white panel is embossed with Cuttlebug Cross My Heart EF.  The flower is made with MFT Upsy Daisy Die-namics.  The sentiment is from Verve's Love Story set (sorry, it has been discontinued) and is cut with MFT Pierced Circle die, and matted with Circle Stax 2 dies.  I added blue enamel dots and a large red enamel dot to the flower center.

I am sharing my card at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Anything Goes

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time it is "Anything Goes" as long as it is for a birthday.

This card will be going to my great-grandson who has a birthday soon.
I used this cute MFT Space Explorer set and the matching dies and colored them with Promarkers and Copics.  I made the background with Ranger Distress Watercolor Card and SU Night of Navy ink.  I wet the paper and added water to the ink on a clear block and then painted the background.  I let it dry and went over it a second time. for variation.  I then added some thinned white paint splatters and a few dots with my white gel pen.  The mat is MFT Electric Red CS.  I did parts of the sentiment on the computer - "Hope Your" and "Is Out of This", and then stamped Birthday from MFT Adorable Elephants and World from the Space Explorer set.  I lightly inked around the edges with Electric Red to make them stand out a little better.  Birthday, World, the rocket and the cute Space Explorer are all mounted with foam tape.  I used a piece of white hemp cord to connect the rocket to the Space Explorer.

Now check out all the fabulous cards by the designers over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will be inspired to play along with us.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Another Red White & Blue Anniversary Card

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing another anniversary card I made for some good friends and their anniversary is on July 4th, so I went with red, white & blue again.
I stamped the flowers from Altenew's Hennah Elements with Versamark ink on MFT Electric Red CS and embossed with white embossing powder.  I stamped 1 large and 3 small flowers and fussy cut them.  The large flower has a small one mounted with foam tape and it is mounted with foam tape to the card.  I used a die from MFT Basic Stitched Edges for the white scallop panel, and mounted this over a piece of SU Midnight Muse DSP.  The LaLa Land flourish corners are cut from the same paper.  The sentiment is from SU Timeless Love stamped in Midnight Muse ink.

I am linking my card with The Flower Challenge-Anything Goes, because I love making cards with flowers.

and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is to use pattern paper so I am linking there also:

Another Anniversary Card for Mojo Monday 500

I have some good friends that have an anniversary coming up in July so I used the Mojo Monday #500 sketch and red, white & blue to make their anniversary card.

The white panel is embossed with The Paper Studio Timeless Hearts EF.  I used MFT Electric Red CS and ink and SU Night of Navy CS and ink.  I also used a strip of white glitter paper.  The sentiment panel is die cut with MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangles.  The sentiment is from Verve's Love Story and the hearts are from Verve's Chevron Love.  I used the matching Wavy Hearts die to die cut the hearts and also cut out the centers and interlocked them.  The sentiment panel is mounted with foam tape and I used pieces of foam tape on parts of the heart to mount them.  The heart border is cut with Verve's Scallop Trim Trio die set.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Anniversary Card for Mojo Monday #500

Hello Friends.  I had to participate in Mojo Monday's last challenge.  I am sad to see it go as I enjoyed all of Julee's sketches.  I will miss them, but Julee will stil have her blog and the Verve store.  She is a very busy lady with her twins and life so I understand why she is giving it up.
Onto my card.  Here is Julee's sketch
and here is my card.
I used 4 different Verve stamp sets for my card.  The sentiment is from Love Story (discontinued); the frame is from Small Packages, the flower is from Grateful Elegance and Plain Jain VS-09-PJ016  which matches the Grateful Elegance set (both discontinued). I sponged the petals with SU Blush Blossom and Crisp Cantaloupe inks.  I added a black glitter enamel dot to the center of the flower.   The frame is cut with Verve's Rounded Scallop Frame die.  The heart border is cut with Verve's Scalloped Trim Duo Set.  The leaves are cut from SU Mint Macaron with Verve's Sprightly Springs die.  The DSP is from Mint to be Fab by The Paper Studio.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - One Layer

Hi Friends.  We have a new challenge for you over at Seize the Birthday and this time the "Toppings" option is to make a one layer card.  Of course the only requirement, as always, is that it has to be a birthday project.
For my card I used this cute bunny by Whimsey Stamps called Flower Bouquet Bunny.   I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored him with Promarkers.  The grass is stamped with a really old CTMH stamp called Hillside Grass.   I sponged light blue ink around the image.  The sentiment is from a set by Gina K. Designs called Birthday Greetings.

Be sure to check out all the fabulous cards by the design team over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will be inspired to play along.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Just Us Girls - Die Cuts

Good morning friends.  Hope you have had a good week.  We have had a lot of rain this week and we sure needed it.  The lawns are looking green again instead of brown.

I made an anniversary card for a couple at church.  I used die cuts so I am joining the JUGS challenge - use die cuts.
I used Cheery Lynn Designs Daisy Strip for the flowers with 2 layers.  I sponged CTMH Plum Mist ink in the certers and added a gold rhinestone.  The large leaves are made with LaLa Land Open Leaf Flourish die and SU Pear Pizzazz CS.  the small leaves are made with SU Flourish Thinlits die.
The sentiment and frame are from Verve's Love Story set, which has been discontinued.  The card base and pattern paper are CTMH Plum Mist, which I have had for quite some time.  I am trying to use some of my stash of papers.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Just Us Girls Photo Week

Hello friends.  I am sharing an anniversary card I made for a couple at church using this week's JUGS Photo for inspiration.
For my card I used Spellbinders Vines and Passion heart die.  I used the outline to cut two hearts with MFT Natural CS.  I then  traced the filigree insert and hand cut two plain hearts which I embossed with two EF, Intricate Swirl by the Paper Studio and Courtyard-1 by Lifestyle Crafts.  The top heart is mounted with foam tape.   The sentiment is from an "Innie & Outie" stamp I got from Hobby Lobby.  It is cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 16.  I fussy cut the mat, and then mounted it with foam tape only on the right side.  The white paper is some textured paper by Coredinations and the card base is MFT Natural CS.  As an afterthought I cut thin strips of white glitter paper and added it around the edges for a little bling.  It doesn't show up well in the photo unless you click on it to enlarge it.  It is very pretty in real life.

I am also entering my card at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day.
