Birthday Wishes

Hello Friends.  It is Thursday and time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday.  This time we have the "Toppings" option of using felt on your birthday project.  Remember, it is an option and the only requirement is that it has to be for a birthday.

For my card I used an older Papertrey Ink (PTI) flower die that I have had for awhile.  I cut it from some burgundy felt I had in my stash(NBUS).  I layered the flower and tied it together with crochet thread and a pale pink button.  The leaves are cut from PTI green wool felt(NBUS) using MFT Royal Leaves die.  The DSP is from a Sweet Heart pad by Nicole(NBUS), and cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 1 (NBUS).  The banners are cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 2.   I shaped the banners with my bonefolder and added 2 layers of foam tape to the centers and glued them close to the ends.  The sentiment is from SU Four You.  The card base is MFT Natural CS.

I am linking my card to Darnell's NBUS Challenge #10 as there are several things on my card that I have had but never used.  She has the option of using bubble wrap this week, so I will have to give that a try also.

Now check out all the fabulous creations by the Design Team over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will join us.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,
JoAnn

  4. Cute felt flower. I had to go out and buy some felt, as I have never used it on a card before. I could only think of flowers in felt, but in looking at the other examples, I can see there were more possibilities. I have a lot of felt left. Lol
