Anniversary Wishes

This is a card I made for a couple at church.  I used scraps of DSP in my stash so I am not sure where they are from.  The sentiment is from Verve Love Story (which has been discontinued).  The hearts are Heart Trio die by The Cat's Pajamas (I couldn't find it on their webside).  The white panel is embossed with a retired SU embossing folder.  The black scallop mat is cut with MFT Blueprints 20 die.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday for Just Us Girls

I am sharing a card for the Just Us Girls Challenge Color Week.
I love these colors together and had to play along, although I am just now getting to post my card.  The card base, ribbon strip (punched with a retired SU border punch) and leaves are SU Crumb Cake.  The red DSP is from American Crafts Crimson 6x6 pad.   The flowers and leaves are made with Heartfelt Creations Botanical Rose and Botanical Wings matching die.  I stamped the flowers on SU Real Red, cut them out, shaped them and layered together.  I added a black enamel dot to the centers.  The sentiment from SU Perfectly Penned (retired) is stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder on the black mat.

I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches but I rotated it and used the 2 flowers for the circle element.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a great weekend.

Happy 1st Birthday

I am sharing a special card I was asked to make.  The flamingo is copied from the invitation and I mounted it to cardstock and fussy cut it.  The invitation has a foliage border all around it and light pink stripes in the background, along with the flamingo.
I stamped the stripes in SU Pink Pirroutte ink with my new MFT Distressed Stripes background stamp (a perfect match to the invitation).  I added various leaves with older punches and the pine branch is by Diemond Dies.  The flowers are Heartfelt Creations Botanical Roses sponged with Daffodil Delight ink, and a golden rhinestone to the centers.  The sentiment is from PTI Just A Number except for the ST which is from SU Memorable Moments.  I used SU Mossy Meadow to stamp the sentiment.  The flamingo is mounted with foam tape.

I think she will be very happy with the card and I am pleased that it turned out like the invitation.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Snowman for Merry Monday

Happy Friday friends.  This is my card for this week's Merry Monday Christmas challenge.

I used this cute Country Snowman by Stampendous, stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Promarkers.  I added a mixture of white fun flock and flower soft to the cuffs of his mittens and Aleene's Glitter Snow (the glitter doesn't show up in the photo) to the bottom for a little extra texture.  I die cut this panel using MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle dies and mounted it with foam tape.  The DSP is from A Very Merry Christmas 6x6 pad by The Paper Studio.  The black scallop mat is cut with MFT Blueprints 20 die.  The snowflake is Simon Says Stamp Maryanne Snowflake cut from glimmer paper.

At Doris' request I am sharing my card at her new challenge:  http://do-allkreatives.blogspot.de/

and CraftyHazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra for Feberuary.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Birthday Wishes for Seize the Birthday

Hello and happy Thursday friends.  It is time for a new Seize the Birthday challenge and this week we have the "Toppings" option of using Inlay Die Cuts.

I used SU Bloomin' Heart Thinlets die to cut the filagree heart and then I embossed the negative with SU Lacey Brocade EF (retired) and then placed the die cut back in the negative over a piece of SU Pink Pirouette CS.  I stamped the matching flowers from SU Bloomin' Love in SU Smokey Slate ink, die cut them with the matching dies, and sponged them with Pink Pirouette ink.  Then I glued the flowers over the die cut.  The banner is from the same stamp set.  I used my Basic Gray marker and went over just the outline of the banner and stamped it.  The sentiment is from SU Happiest Birthday Wishes (retired) and I did the same with the marker as it had more words on the stamp.  I mounted this with foam tape.

Be sure to check out all the fabulous inspiration by the Design Team, using Inlay die cuts, over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will join us.

I am also linking my card up over at Just Us Girls challenge - use hearts on your card.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Anniversary Wishes for JUGS

I used this week's challenge at Just Us Girls-hearts to make an anniversary card for a couple at church. The hearts theme made it perfect for an anniversary card.
I used my new Inlay Heart die from Poppystamps.  First I cut if from white CS, and then from SU Lost Lagoon CS.  I fussy cut around the Lost Lagoon heart and then glued it over the white heart after stamping the white panel with MFT Balloon Strings Background stamp in Pool Party ink.  I added a piece of DSP under the heart cutout and adhered the panel to SU Pool Party CS base.  I added Eyelet Outlet glitter enamel dots to the center of the hearts.  The photo does not do the card justice as it is so much prettier IRL.  The sentiment is from Verve's Everlasting Love set stamped in Lost Lagoon ink.  I cut this with an MFT Pierced Fishtail Flags die, placed it back in the die and cut the other end.  I fussy cut the mat from Lost Lagoon CS and then mounted it with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

I got a card made for Mojo Monday #483 using their sketch.  The card is for a friend.

I am on my way to church for our Valentine Banquet this evening so will post details later.

ETA:  We had a wonderful Valentine Banquet and everyone enjoyed it.  Onto my card.
The DSP is from Authentique Classique Essentials 6x6 pad and the mats are white and SU Rose Red. which matches perfectly.  The sentiment is from Verve Amazing Wishes (which is no longer available).  The flower and leaves are from Altenew's Beautiful day, mounted with foam tape.  The white grossgrain ribbon is from SU.

I'll Woof You Forever

Happy Thursday Friends.  I am sharing a fun card I made for JUGS Challenge #379 Word Week - dogs.  This card will probably go to one of my granddaughters.  Her birthday is in March.
This is the only stamp set I could find that has a dog on it.  It is MFT PI Woof You.  I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo  Black ink and colored it with Copics and fussy cut them.  The girls pants and shirt are paper-pieced with SU Midnight Muse CS and Real Red DSP.  I went over the buckles on the straps with a gold pen.  I mounted both images with foam tape on an MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle die cut from We R Memory Keepers Free Spirit paper pack.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday for JUGS Photo Week #378

This is my second post today, scroll down for my Seize the Birthday post.

I managed to get a card done for Just Us Girls Photo Week #378 challenge which has a daisy and a ladybug.
I didn't have any ladybug stamps but I did have this MFT Upsy Daisy die which I have used quite a bit, I love it.
I cut 2 of the largest die, 1 each of the medium and small dies and layered them all together.  I added an older SU yellow button to the center and mounted the daisy with foam tape.  The leaves from the daisy set are cut from SU Pear Pizzazz CS, as is the mat for the sentiment panel.  The sentiment is Verve's Happy Birthday.  I cut the circles with MFT Circle Stax1 and Pierce Circle dies.  The green DSP is from an older SU pack and the yellow DSP is from Recollections All Girl stack.  The white panel is embossed with a retired SU EF - I think it kind of resembles a daisy.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Birthday Wishes

Hello Friends.  It is Thursday and time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday.  This time we have the "Toppings" option of using felt on your birthday project.  Remember, it is an option and the only requirement is that it has to be for a birthday.

For my card I used an older Papertrey Ink (PTI) flower die that I have had for awhile.  I cut it from some burgundy felt I had in my stash(NBUS).  I layered the flower and tied it together with crochet thread and a pale pink button.  The leaves are cut from PTI green wool felt(NBUS) using MFT Royal Leaves die.  The DSP is from a Sweet Heart pad by Nicole(NBUS), and cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 1 (NBUS).  The banners are cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 2.   I shaped the banners with my bonefolder and added 2 layers of foam tape to the centers and glued them close to the ends.  The sentiment is from SU Four You.  The card base is MFT Natural CS.

I am linking my card to Darnell's NBUS Challenge #10 as there are several things on my card that I have had but never used.  She has the option of using bubble wrap this week, so I will have to give that a try also.

Now check out all the fabulous creations by the Design Team over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will join us.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.
