Happy Anniversary with a new Technique

I saw this technique on a card on Facebook with the link and had to give it a try.  Here is the link for the technique:  http://stampwithtami.com/blog/2017/01/dragonfly-dreams/  You have to scroll down for the video showing the technique.
I love how my card turned out.  It is an anniversary card for a special couple at church.

I used the same cs - Elegant Eggplant and Perfect Plum as in the tutorial, but I scored every 1/2 inch instead of 3/4 inch.  I used Heartfelt Creations Botanical Roses for the flower and leaves.  I used the 3 largest flowers and inked the petal edges with Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant and then shaped them with a large stylus.  The leaves were inked with Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive.  The sentiment from Inspired By Stamping Vintage Frames and the frame from SU Rose Wonder were embossed in gold on gold foil paper, and then die cut with the frame from SU Rose Garden Thinlits dies.  The frame is mounted with foam tape.   I used Ranger Gold Stickles at each intersection of the score lines.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Another Birthday Card

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing another birthday card I made for a friend at church.
I used SU Botanical Builder Framelits dies for the flowers and leaves.  The flowers are cut from SU Cajun Craze , the leaves from Pear Pizzazz and the centers from So Saffron.  The sentiment is from Verve Happy Birthday.  The circles are cut with MFT Pierced Circles and Circle Stax 2 dies.  The DSP is from Free Spirit by We R Memory Keepers.  The mats are SU Early Espresso.  I added black pearls to the centers of the flowers and 3 small ones below the sentiment.  The sentiment panel and the flowers are mounted with foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.  I appreciate it so much when you take time to leave me a comment.

The Flower Challenge #4 - blue and yellow

Hello friends.  I made another birthday card for a friend at church using The Flower Challenge theme of Blue and Yellow.

I used SU Soft Sky and Barely Banana (retired) CS to cut the flowers using MFT Stitched Flowers dies.  I layered them using foam tape and added to the white panel with foam tape.  This panel is cut with a Lil' Inker die, but I can't find it on their website.  The DSP is from Authentique Latest and Greatest 6x6 pad.  The sentiment is from SU Elementary Elegance (an older Sale-a-Bration set).

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Mojo Monday challenge

I made my card using the Mojo Monday sketch challenge and was trying to get it done to add to the Merry Monday challenge to use a deer on your card, but I didn't quite make it for the Merry Monday challenge.

For my card I used DSP from MME Lost & Found Christmas 6x6 pad and matted them with SU Crumb Cake.  I used the cute deer from Verve's Santa's Helper.  The sentiment is from the same set and is cut with an MFT Pierced Circle die.  I stamped the white panel in Crumb Cake ink with MFT Cheesecloth Background.  This panel,  the deer and the sentiment are all mounted with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Have a Beautiful Birthday

I needed another birthday card for a sweet lady at church so I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches and made this card.

The lt. blue and black DSP is from an older pad Story of Us by Momenta.  The flowers and leaves are cut using SU Botanical Builder Framelits.  I love this die set and debated on getting it but I am glad I did as I have used it on quite a few cards.  I added some sparkly enamel dots by Eyelet Outlet to the centers of the flowers.  The sentiment is from SU Birthday Blossoms.  I cut the center white panel with MFT Pierced Fishtail Flags dies and just cut the ends off for a little added detail.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happiest of Birthdays To You - NBUS Challenge #8

I made a card for Darnell's new NBUS Challenge #8 (Never Before Used Schtuff) using my MFT Wonky Rectangle Stax (NBUS) that I was anxious to use.  Her theme is to Use Colored Pencils on Kraft.
I stamped the image and sentiment with SU Birthday Blooms in Versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder.  First I colored the image with a white pencil and then with the 2 different  red and 2 different green pencils to get some shading.  I also used a dark yellow pencil for the center of the flower.  I then cut the kraft panel out with the MFT Wonky Rectangle die (NBUS).  I mounted this panel with foam tape to the white card base.  I have only used this technique one time before and that was a long time ago.  I wasn't happy with it them, but I really like how this turned out.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Doodling and Dashes

Happy Thursday my friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time we have the "Toppings" option of Doodling and/or Dashes.

This is a card for another one of my family birthdays.  I used this cute image from MFT Hog Heaven stamp set and colored her with Promarkers.  I then cut her out with the matching dies.  She is mounted with foam tape on an MFT Stitched Circle die cut and Spellbinders Scallop Circle die cut.  I did some doodling around the scallops on the mat and added some dashes around the main panel.  The pink paper is SU Blushing Bride and the yellow is from an older birthday pack.  The sentiment is from MFT Label Maker Love (Happy) and Label Maker Sentiments (Birthday).  The black scallop mat is die cut with MFT Blueprints 20 die.

Don't forget to check out all the fabulous cards by the Design Team over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will join us this week.

Happy Birthday to my Granddaughter

Today is my beautiful granddaughter's birthday and this is the card I made her.

I stamped the front of the card with MFT Diagonal Stripes BG in SU Regal Rose ink.  That is one of the colors I used in the Altenew Beautiful Day flower.   I also used Pink Pirouette and Strawberry Slush inks.  The leaves are stamped with Altenew green inks.   I used the matching dies to cut the flower and leaves.  The sentiment is from SU Birthday Blooms and cut with SU Lots of Labels die.  I traced the die on the Regal Rose CS and fussy cut it for the mat.  The sentiment panel and the flower are mounted with foam tape.
Here she is with flowers and candy from her boyfriend.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday to my Great-Granddaughter

I have been sick since 2 days before Christmas and am starting to feel better and wanted to get a few cards done.  We have 6 family birthdays this month.

I made this card for my great-granddaughter who is turning 16.  Her favorite color is burgundy so I used SU Bravo Burgundy CS and ink.  I stamped 2 background stamps and then die cut the balloons and all the elements using MFT Blueprints 26 dies.  I sponged the edges of the balloons with Bravo Burgandy ink and added the die cut 16.  The white panel is embossed with SU Decorative Dots EF.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Bithday

Hello friends and Happy 2017.  After taking the month of December off, Seize the Birthday  is starting the New Year off with an "Anything Goes" challenge.

ETA:  Yea, my card is one of the winners at Mojo Monday.
I used the sketch from this week's Mojo Monday challenge.

The papers are from an older SU DSP Love Letter.  I matted them with black and the scallop mat is cut with an MFT Blueprints 20 die.  The sentiment is Verve's Happy Birthday Plain Jane, cut with MFT Stitched circle die and Circle Stax die. The flower is from Verve's One Person (no longer available).  I sponged the flower with SU Riding Hood Red ink, layered it with foam tape and added yellow rhinestones to the center.  The ivory panel is embossed with SU Decorative Dots EF.
