Warm Winter Wishes

Good morning everyone.  It is time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges and this week, it is "anything goes" for Christmas.

For my card I used a colored digital image I have had for a while, not sure where it is from, but he is so cute.  I printed him and cut him out with a Lil' Inker Designs Side Stitched Rectangle die, then mounted him on a SU Always Artichoke mat.  The DSP is from Echo Park's The Story of Christmas 6x6 pad.  The sentiment is from MFT's Holiday Hugs Snowman set.  I masked part of the words and stamped each word individually on a punch 1 3/8" circle, and matted it with a 1 1/2 circle punch.  The image and sentiment are mounted with foam tape.

Now check out all the great creations by my teammates over at Christmas Card Challenges.  I hope you will play along with us.

Merry Christmas

This is my second post today.  Scroll down for my Christmas Card Challenges post.

I made my card using this reindeer from Lawn Fawn's Toboggan Together set.  I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored him with Copics, then fussy cut him out.  The circles are Spellbinder Classic Circles and Scallop Circles dies.  I stamped the tree background with an Inkadinkadoo stamp and SU Old Olive ink.  I sponged lt. blue ink around the trees and added a mixture of Flower Soft and Fun Flock to the bottom for the snow.  The deer is mounted with foam tape and so are the circle panels and sentiment flags.  The sentiment is from Inspired By Stamping's Festive Frames set.  The mats are SU Cherry Cobbler and the white is Coredinations Heavy White Card.  The DSP is from 'tis the Season by Echo Park.

In The Air There'a A Feeling of Christmas

Hello friends, welcome to another challenge at Christmas Card Challenges.  This week it is anything goes.

For my card I used the stamp set from my new Close To My Heart Winter Pines Scrapbooking Workshop On The Go kit.  I stamped the sentiment in SU Old Olive on a panel cut with my Cricut Artistry cartridge and matted it with a cut from the same cartridge.  I used a SU retired punch to punch 2 of the small flowers and layered them, and then added an orange rhinestone to the center.  The panel is mounted with foam tape.  The DSP is from Authentique Festive 6x6 pad.  The base and white panel are Coredinations Heavy White Card.

Seize the Birthday - use Vellum or Acetate

Hello friends.  We have a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this week our "toppings" option is to use vellum or acetate on your card.

I embossed the flower from SU Flower Shop and the leaves from Birthday Blossoms on vellum with white embossing powder.  Then I colored the back of the vellum with Melon Mambo and Always Artichoke markers.  I punched the flowers with the matching punch and fussy cut the leaves.  I adhered the flowers with foam tape and glued the bottom of the leaves under the flowers.  The sentiment is from JustRite Large Fancy Sentiments stamped in black on DSP from Studio Calico's Snippets 6x6 pad.  The pink DSP is from Colorbok Light Bright 6x6 pad.  The black mat is punched with a SU border punch (retired).  I added 2 enamel dots (Recollections) to the centers of the flowers.

This is my second post today.  Scroll down for my Christmas Card Challenges card.

The pine branches were cut from SU Certainly Celery and Old Olive with Memory Box Pine Needle Border.  The white panel is embossed with SU Brick Wall EF.  The sentiment from SU Greetings of the Season is stamped in Old Olive ink.  The ornaments are made from SU Pink Pirouette and Certainly Celery CS with Memory Box Snowflake Ornament and Classic Ornment dies.  The bows are cute from Brushed Silver paper with Memory Box Precious Hearts, naturally, I cute the hearts off.  The pink ornament and sentiment are mounted with foam tape.

Seasons Greetings

Good Morning friends.  We have a photo challenge for you this week over at Christmas Card Challenges.

I used this vintage style Santa from MFT IB-Christmas (sorry, it is no longer available).  I stamped him on Naturals Ivory CS and colored just his hat, coat, & face.  I inked around the edges with Sahara Sand ink for a more vintage look.  He is cut with Spellbinders Circles and matted with Scallop Circles die in Old Olive, and mounted with foam tape.  The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping Festive Frames and matted with a diecut from Spellbinders Grommet Tags die.  I added two small gold brads and mounted it with foam tape.  The DSP is from American Crafts Noel 6x6 pad and all the mats are SU Old Olive.  The card base is SU Naturals Ivory.

Another Anniversary Card

ETA:  Yea, my card was chosen as Chic of the Week at JUGS.

This is my second anniversary card this week for another couple at church.  The DSP is from Teresa Collins Hello My Name Is 6x6 pad and the mats are Recollections Black CS.  The card base is Coredinations Heavy White Card.  I stamped the grid DSP with the Love stamp from Verve's Love Notes in Cherry Cobbler ink.  The sentiment is from Just Rite's Large Fancy Sentiments and is cut with MFT Circle Stax 1 and Circle Stax 2 for the mat.  The long banner is cut with MFT Fishtail Flags Stax and Fishtail Flags Layers Stax.  The Cherry Cobbler hearts are cut and embossed with a SU Sizzix Fashionable Hearts folder (retired).  The embossing doesn't show up well in the photo.  They are mounted with foam tape, as is the sentiment panel.  I added a Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding bow at the top.

I am entering my card at Just Us Girls #318 - Stripes

I turned the sketch vertical and I forgot the bottom layer, but it still works, I hope.

Happy Anniversary

I made an anniversary card for a couple at church (1 more to go), using Viva la Verve November Week 1 sketch.  I love Julee's sketch and will be using it again.

The white, pink, and gray DSP is from Pink Paislee Bella Rouge 6x6 pad.  Black mats are Recollections and the card base is Coredinations Heavy White Card.  The sentiment from Verve's Love Story is stamped in SU Basic Gray ink.  I paper-pierced the 4 corners and added 3 small black pearls.  The flower from Verve's Grateful Elegance and Plain Jane 016 (largest flower)(sorry, both are discontinued) are stamped in Basic Gray ink on Blush Blossom CS.  I sponged Blush Blossom ink on the tips of the petals.  The leaves are from SU Birthday Blossoms, stamped in Basic Gray ink.  I added foam dimensionals between the flower layers and also to adhere it to the card.  The banners are cut with MFT Fishtail Flags and Fishtail Flags Layers dies.  Lastly, I added a Basic Gray ribbon and bow.

I am also entering this in Just Us Girls challenge - Word Week - stripes.

Merry Christmas

This is my card for the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge #178 - Red & Gold.  I used SU Cherry Cobbler and Coredinations Heavy White CS.  I stamped Heartfelt Creations Sparkling Poinsettia in Versamark on Cherry Cobbler and embossed it with Ranger Gold Detail embossing powder.  I cut it using the matching Sparkling Poinsettia dies.  I shaped the petals and layered them, then added a Gold Glitter Gemstone by The Paper Studio.  The Merry Christmas is a die by Impression Obsession and cut from Gold Glitzy paper by DCWV.  The white panel is embossed with a folder I borrowed from my friend and I don't remember the name of it.  I think it is by Cuttlebug.  The gold scallop mat is cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 20.
