Christmas Card Challenges #21 - Anything Goes

Good Sunday Morning my friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges and this week we have "anything goes"  I hope you will join us.

The card base and tag are SU Very Vanilla.  I cut the tag with Spellbinders Grommet Tags die and stamped the greeting from Inspired by Stamping Festive Frames set.  The DSP is from the Merry Merry 12x12 pad by The Paper Studio.  I used a die from MFT Blueprints 20 die set to cut it out.  The flower is made with Sizzix Tim Holtz Tattered Poinsttia.  I cut it out of some music print paper and sponged the layers with SU Cherry Cobbler and Daffodil Delight inks.  I cut out an 1 extra large layer and sponged with Old Olive and Daffodil Delight inks for the leaves.  I added a large gold rhinestone to the center and mounted it with foam tape.  The sentiment is also mounted with foam tape and I added some sheer green ribbon through the ends.

Be sure and check out all the fabulous creations by my teammates over at Christmas Card Challenges.

JUGS #289 - Color challenge

Here is my card for this week's Just Us Girls color challenge.

My card base is MFT Smooth White CS, the brown panel is SU Chocolate Chip, embossed with the SU Filigree Frame EF.  It is a piece of scrap I had used before to cut the large scallop die from.  I added a piece of white cs, stamped with the MFT Burlap Background stamp in SU Crumb Cake ink, to the back of the brown panel.  The sentiment is from Verve Poppy Birthday set.  The flower is from Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed Fleur set.  I sponged it with 2 colors of yellow ink (my third color choice).  I shaped the petals before joining them and added a brown button to the center.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.
Happy Stamping,

Seize The Birthday - make your own background

Happy Thursday everyone.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this week we have a "Toppings" option to make your own background on your Birthday card.  Remember, it is only an option, you can always stick with our "Anything Goes" Birthday.

For my card I used SU Crumb Cake and Naturals Ivory CS.  I stamped my background with the flourish stamp from an old SU Sale-a-Bration set called Bliss in Crumb Cake ink.  This is a pretty set and I love the images in it, especially this flourish.  The sentiment is from Verve's Love Deepens (I guess it is no longer available as I couldn't find it on their web site) and is stamped in Soft Suede ink.  The leaves are cut with MFT Layered Leaves die cut from some scraps and a mulberry flower from Michaels $1.50 bin.

You need to check out all the fabulous cards my teammates have created over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will play along with us.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Christmas Card Challenges #20

Good Morning everyone.  It is time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges and this week we have an Inspiration Photo (cookies) for you.

For my card I used DSP from an older Martha Stewart Frosty Gingerbread pad.  I also cut the gingerbread men from one of the paper sheets, inked the edges and mounted them with foam tape on a piece of SU Naturals Ivory cut with a Spellbinders Label 17 die.  I fussy cut the mat from SU Chocolate Chip.  The sentiment from Inspired by Stamping Festive Frames was stamped in Chocolate Chip ink and cut with a MFT Pierced Fishtail Flags die.  I put it back in the die and cut the other flag end, added 2 homemade enamel dots, sponged the edges and mounted it with foam tape.  The card base is also SU Naturals Ivory.

Be sure and check out all the fabulous creations by my teammates over at Christmas Card Challenges or click on their names below.   I hope you will play along with us this week.

Merry Monday #154 - Vintage Style Christmas Card

The Merry Monday challenge this week is to create a vintage style Christmas card.  I searched on line for some vintage Christmas images and found this one which had a frame around it.  I printed it and cut the image out without the frame and matted it to a Spellbinders Scalloped Oval cut from SU Always Artichoke.  The card base is also Always Artichoke.  The DSP is from Simple Stories Handmade Holiday 6x6 pad.  I cut the sentiment from one of the pages and matted it with SU Basic Black.  The image and sentiment are mounted with foam tape.   I think it made a quick and simple vintage style Christmas card - and no stamping either. :)

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend.

Merry Monday #153 - Angel or Cherub

I was able to get my card done for the Merry Monday #153 challenge - use an angel or cherub on your Christmas card.
This image is a cute free coloring image I found on Pinterest, (Click Here for the link).  I reduced the image and printed her out on X-Press It Blending Card and did a little coloring with my Copics and added shine with the Sakura Clear Glitter Gel Pen.  You can see the glitter a little better in this photo.

I cut her out with a Spellbinders Rectangle and sponged around the edges with SU Bashful Blue ink. The Riding Hood Red mat is cut with a Spellbinders Scallop Rectangle.  The DSP is from Authentique Festive 6x6 pad.  I cut the sentiment panel, the Old Olive Mat and the horizontal red mat with dies from MFT Blueprints 20.  For the red mat, I just got a narrow strip and then put it back in the die to cut the scallops on the bottom edge.  The sentiment from SU Contempo Christmas (retired) is stamped in Old Olive ink. The image and sentiment panels are mounted with foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.  I really appreciate you taking the time to leave me a comment.
Have a Blessed day.
Happy Stamping,

Christmas Card Challenges #29

Good morning friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges.  This week our theme is "Travel" - use a sleigh, reindeer, car, etc. on your card.

I used this cute MFT Sending You a Little Christmas image with her sled.  I stamped her on X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copics, then fussy cut her out.  She is mounted with foam tape on a Spellbinder's Circle, which I embossed the upper portion with a Sizzix EF.  I added a little sidewalk for her to pull her sled on.  The scalloped circle is cut from SU Garden Green CS.  The DSP is from Teresa Collins Candy Cane 6x6 pad.  The mat is MFT Electric Red and the card base is MFT Smooth White.  The sentiment from MFT Cheerful Christmas Greetings is stamped in SU Garden Green ink on a banner cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 20.

Now head over to Christmas Card Challenges and check out all the fabulous cards my fellow teammates have made to inspire you.  I hope you will join us this week.

Sweet Birthday Wishes for Seize the Birthday

Hello my stamping friends.  It is Thursday and time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday.  This time we have the option of making a "Tall and Skinny" card.  Remember, it is an option and the choice is yours.

This is my first "tall & skinny" card and it is 4-1/4 by 7 inches.
For my card I used Recollections cream CS and DSP from a pad by Momenta I got at AC Moore.  The image and sentiment are from MFT Sweet Birthday Wishes.  I stamped her in Mememto Tuxedo Black on X-Press It Blending Card, colored her with Copics and fussy cut her out.  Her dress and hair bow are paper-pieced with some of the DSP.  The sentiment is cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 20.  Both the image and sentiment are mounted with foam tape.

Now check out all the great cards by my teammates over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will be inspired to play along with  us.

Merry Monday #152 Color Challenge

This is my card for the Merry Monday color challenge - use lime, turquoise and white on your Christmas card.  I used SU Tempting Turquoise and Recollections white and lime.  The poinsettia is by Memory Box Poppy Stamps and mounted with foam tape.  I sponged the petals with Tempting Turquoise ink and cut the leaves and center with the lime paper.  I used an older Sizzix embossing folder for the background.  The sentiment is from Verve's Weary World.  I hand cut the banner ends, and mounted it with foam tape also.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.
