I hope Your Season Sparkles

Happy Friday everyone.  I have a Christmas card to share today and I am entering it in the Merry Monday Christmas challenge - Christmas lights & glitter;
Simon Wednesday Challenge Blog

I used this cute MFT al a mode You Shine image, stamped on X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copics & Promarkers.  I paper-pieced the top with paper from Echo Park's Tis The Season 6x6 pad.  The black music paper is from the same pad.  The sentiment is from another al a mode set Sparkling Season.  I added sparkle to the lights with my Sakura Clear Glitter Gel pen.  I cut her out with Spellbinder's Classic Oval die and the red glitter paper is cut with a Scallop Oval die.  You can see the glitter better in this photo:

Birthday Blessings for Just Us Girls #316

I made this card for a young woman at church using the JUGS #316 photo challenge.  I used SU Chocolate Chip and Coredinations Heavy White CS.  I cut a Sizzix Tim Holtz #660220 corner hexagon die from the white and put a piece of DSP (that was on my table, not sure which pad it is from) behind the cutouts.  I tried to match the flowers with a stamp from Verve's On Occasion.  I stamped each flower twice on SU Pink Piroutte and fussy cut them out, cutting the middle layer out separate for dimension.  The sentiment from the same set is stamped in Chocolate Chip ink.  I also stamped them on SU So Saffron and fussy cut the centers.  I cut MFT's Leaf Filled Flourish from Chocolate Chip and then cut sections from it and rearranged it to make it fit.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Pocket Card

Hello friends.  We have a new challenge for you over at Seize the Birthday and this time we have the "Toppings" option to make a pocket card.

For my card I used the Diagonal Double Pocket card tutorial at Splitcoast Stampers.  I used cardstock and DSP from Pebbles Yours Truly 6x6 pad.  The image panel is cut with Spellbinders Floral Ovals and stamped with an image from SU Butterfly Basics.  I colored the image with Promarkers and then sponged lt. blue ink around the image.  It is mounted with foam tape.  I cut the two tags with MFT Pierced Tags die and stamped them with Verve's Birthday to You and May Your Birthday Be Filled by Stampabilities.   I then added some retired SU ribbon that matched the pink check paper.
You can see the tags in this photo.

Now check out all the great cards by my teammates over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will play along with us.

Merry Monday #175

Good morning friends.  This is my card for the Merry Monday #175 challenge - use a moose on your card.  I searched through my stamps and did not have a single moose stamp so I used my Silhouette  Studio and printed this adorable moose.  It is a Print & Cut image, but I fussy cut it myself.  It is mounted with foam tape to an MFT Stitched Circle die cut.  The mats are Recollections Black CS and the card base and white circle are Coredinations Heavy White CS.  The red  DSP is from The Paper Studio A Very Merry Christmas 6x6 pad and the green is from Echo Park The Story of Christmas 6x6 pad.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Christmas Card Challenges #45

Good morning friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges and this time it is "Anything Goes" for Christmas

This cute deer is from SU Home for Christmas DSP.  I bought the paper pack just for the deer. :)  I have seen so many cards with it.  I fussy cut him out, glued him to cardstock for extra sturdiness and mounted him on a tag cut with a die from MFT Tag Builder Blueprint 1.  I stamped the trees with an Inkadinkado stamp in SU Wild Wasabi ink, then sponged a blue sky around them.  I added some snow to the bottom with a mixture of White Fun Flock and Flower Soft, before mounting the deer with foam tape.  I hand cut the MFT Electric Red mat and added some Christmas ribbon by SU.  The white panel is embossed with The Paper Studio Snowflake EF.  I used Coredinatins Heavy White CS and MFT Electric Red CS.

Now check out all the fabulous creations by my teammates over at Christmas Card Challenges.
I hope you will play along with us this week.

Seize the Birthday - Use "Splatters" on your card

Happy Thursday my blogging friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday.  This time our "Toppings" option is to use splatters on your birthday card.

We are also pleased to announce that we are starting a new feature at STB.  We will be featuring a Surpise Party Guest for each month, starting with October.  We all felt that it was time to recognize those of you who play along with us week after week.  To get selected as a Surprise Party Guest, just keep playing along with us and you just might be chosen.

Our guest for October is Anita from My Papercraft World.  Be sure to stop by, say hello and check out her blog.

For my card I used all Stampin Up products, except for the large We R Memory Keepers gray brad.
I used Smoky Slate, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White CS.  The splatters from Gorgeous Grunge are stamped in Smoky Slate, Pink Pirouette and Pretty in Pink inks.  The flower from Petal Potpourri was stamped in Smoky Slate and fussy cut.  The petals were sponged with Pink Pirouette.  I cut between each petal and then shaped them with my stylus.  I used my clear glitter gel pen to go over the lines in the petals.  The flower is mounted with foam tape. The shine shows up better in this photo.

The leaves and sentiment are from Birthday Blossoms.  I stamped the leaves in Pear Pizzazz ink, then sponged them with the same ink, and fussy cut them to add under the flower petals.  The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  The borders were made with a SU retired border punch.

Now check out all the fabulous creations by my teammates over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will play along with us.

Thanks so much for stopping.  Have a wonderful day.

Have a Cup of Cheer

ETA:  My card was an Honorable Mention at Merry Monday.

The sentiment and cute coffe cups are from Verve's Holiday Treats, stamped in MFT Electric Red and SU Wild Wasabi.  The red cup is mounted with foam tape. The sentiment is also stamped in Electric Red, punched with SU Oval punch, and matted with SU Scallop Oval punch.  The card base and mats are MFT Natural CS and the white is Georgia Pacific CS.  The white panel is embossed with Sizzix Stars and Swirls EF.  The DSP is from Echo Park The Story of Christmas 6x6 pad. The image panel is cut with Lil' Inker's Designs Stitched Rounded Rectangle die (cut part of the way and then put back in the die to cut it shorter).  This panel is mounted with foam tape.  I used SU Scallop Ribbon Border punch for the piece under the image panel.

Christmas Card Challenges #44 - Color Challenge

Good morning friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges and this week we have a color challenge for you.

I used this pretty Joy stamp by Hero Arts. and embossed it in white on SU Rich Razzleberry CS.  The DSP is from Bo Bunny's Altitude Collection 6x6 pad.   I thought this pretty paper had the different colors and matched pretty close. The mat is also Rich Razzleberry and the card base is Coredinations Heavy White CS.  A quick and easy card, but it turned out so pretty, and is flat for mailing also.

Now check out all the great cards by the designers over at Christmas Card Challenges.  I hope you will join us this week.

Happy World Card Making Day

This is the card I made today and am entering it in a couple of challenges.

The challenge at Merry Monday this week is to use rainbow colors on your card.

I used SU inks in Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point, Elegant Eggplant and Wild Wasabi.  I sponged strips on textured white CS and then cut the Merry out using SU Expressions Framelits Dies (retired).  I cut out two white layers and layered them to give it more sturdiness.  I curved it a little when gluing it on a white panel embossed with a Cuttlebug Snowflake EF.  The ornament and sentiment are from MFT's Christmas Ornament sets (Unfortuately it has been discontinued, but I love using it). I added it to the diecut Merry with a little gold twine.  Then I added  colorful rhinestones to the centers of some of the embossed snowflakes.  This panel was mounted with foam tape to DSP from MME Market Street 6x6 pad. The scalloped mat was cut from SU Wild Wasabi with a die from MFT Blueprints 20, and the card base is Coredinations Heavy White CS.

I am also entering this in Simon Says Stamp Card Making Challenge for World Card Making Day.

Just Us Girls #312 and Viva la Verve Week 1 Sketch

I made this card without a sentiment so you could use it for  just about any occasion.  The flower is Heartfelt Creations Classic Sunflower.  I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and cut it with the matching Classic Sunflower Dies.  I sponged the petals with SU Daffodil Delight ink and Lucky Limeade ink in the center and then shaped the petals. The leaves from Heartfelt Creations Open Leaf are stamped with Lucky Limeade Ink on Lucky Limeade CS and then fussy cut.  the flower is mounted with foam tape and I glued the tips of the leaves underneath.  The white strip is made using the SU Scallop Ribbon Border Punch (retired).  The banners in the top corner are cut with MFT Fishtail Flags Layers die from Daffodil Delight and Recollections Black CS.  The DSP is some old Making Memories I had in my (rather large) stash of paper, I think it matches the photo perfectly.   The card base is Coredinations Heavy White CS.

I used the photo challenge at Just us Girls and
the September Week 1 sketch at Viva la Verve
