Happy Birthday

Hello friends, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time it is "Anything Goes" for a birthday.
The inspiration for my card came from this card by Wanda Guess.  I made this card for a young girl at church.  She loved it.
I used  MFT BB Adorable Elephants and the matching dies.  The sentiment is from the same set and is mounted with foam tape.  I diecut the elephant and balloon shapes, stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored them with Promarkers. I fussy cut the butterfly.  All are mounted with foam tape on an MFT Stitched Square Stax.  I sponged some clouds using a punched scallop circle, and added some grass with a very old DOTS Hillside Grass stamp.  The DSP is from My Mind's Eye My Girl 6x6 pad.

Now check out all the fabulous creations by my teammates over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will play along with us.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

JOY

This is a special project I made to display on my mantle for Christmas and to represent the true meaning of Christmas.  These are paper mache letters from Hobby Lobby.  I painted them ivory color, chose different DSP, My Mind's Eye - green and holly print, and the red music paper is from a Recollections Christmas pad.  I traced the letters backwards on the back of the papers, and fussy cut them out.  The nativity scene is cut with my Silhouette twice and layered together for sturdiness.  I painted over the letters with Americana DuraClean Satin Varnish to seal them.  The sentiment from SU Reason for the Season set is stamped on SU Very Vanilla and punched with a 2" circle punch.  It is mounted on a gold foil MFT doily die (discontinued).  The poinsettias are made with MFT Poinsettia die from MFT Electric Red CS.  I added a large glittery enamel dot by The Paper Studio to the centers.  The leaves are from a Christmas pick from the Dollar Tree.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

The fern is punched with a Martha Stewart Punch.  I used Spellbinders Classic Circle dies to cut the center and layered a Fancy Lattice die cut behind it.  This was adhered to a Real Red panel.  The sentiment is from Just Rite Large Fancy Sentiments.
