Merry Christmas for Christmas Stampin' All Year

Yea, it is Friday and time for a new challenge at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long.  This week we do not have a sponsor, but the winner will get to be a Guest Designer in November.  The challenge is "anything goes" (as long as it is a Christmas project) and we have a past Mojo Monday sketch for inspiration.

My card base is MFT Electric Red and the embossed panel is MFT Smooth White.  I used an embossing folder by Darice.  The DSP is from Lost & Found Christmas by My Mind's Eye and the mats are SU Wild Wasabi.  The sentiment is from MFT Christmas Ornaments stamped in Electric Red ink.  I printed the digi image on X-Press It Blending Card and colored him with Promarkers.  I used the Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow stencil and Golden Light Molding Paste to add the snow dots.

Now check out all the fabulous creations by my fellow teammates over at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long.  I hope you will play along with us this week.  Remember, you have a chance to be a guest designer in November.

Hello Dear Friend

I combined two challenges for my card:  MFTWSC199
Print
and Just Us Girls Challenge - photo inspiration
I chose the sunflowers in the photo and used MFT Sunflower dies and Leaf-Filled Flourish die.  The sunflower is cut from SU Daffodil Delight and Soft Suede for the center.  I cut two layers of each size and staggered the petals when layering them. I sponged the edges of the petals with Soft Suede ink.  The flourish is cut from SU Old Olive.  The sentiment is from MFT Blissful Butterflies stamped in SU Chocolate Chip ink.  For the background I stamped MFT Wood Plank Background in SU Crumb Cake ink on MFT Natural CS and cut 1-1/8" squares and adhered them to a Soft Suede panel.  The card base and banner are from MFT Whip Cream CS.  The banner is cut with MFT Fishtail Flags Stax die.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek.  I appreciate your comments.

Viva La Verve and Viva Dare

This is my second post today, please scroll down for my Merry Monday card or click HERE.

I made my card using Viva La Verve Oct. Wk. 2 sketch, and also for Verve October Viva Dare - Pink Power.

My card base is SU Pretty in Pink and the mats are Crumb Cake (Kraft).  The banner and flower are also Pretty In Pink.  The DSP is from Recollections Little Princess Paper Pad.  The sentiment and flower are from Verve's One Person (discontinued).  This is my favorite Verve flower and I use it a lot.  I love this sentiment also and thought it would be encouring for someone.  I stamped the flower twice and cut out the smaller layer on one of them, shaped the petals and added a Recollections Enamel Dot to the center.  The banner is cut with Verve's Pennant Trim die.  The circles are cut with MFT Circle Stax 1 and 2 dies.

Merry Monday #131 - Non Traditional Colors

Good morning my friends.  Today I am sharing my card for Merry Monday #131 - use non-traditional colors on your Christmas card.
I had this cute snowman digi image on my computer, sorry I can't remember where I got it from :(   I printed him on X-Press It Blending card and colored him with Promarkers and cut him out.  He is mounted with foam tape on the panel cut with Spellbinders Labels 17.  I added some Polar White Flower Soft to the bottom for the snow.  I traced the die on the back of the glitter paper and cut the mat out by hand as the next size die was too large.  The snowflakes are from a Martha Stewart punch.  The white panel is embossed with A2 Snowflakes by The Paper Studio.  The glitter paper is from DCWV Glitzy Brights stack.  The card base is SU Elegant Eggplant.

I am also entering my card in the following challenges:

Washi Tape for Seize the Birthday

Hello stamping friends.  It's Thursday and time for another Seize the Birthday challenge.  This week our option is to use Washi tape on your card.
Here's my card:
My card base, flower and mats are SU Real Red.  The white is MFT Sweet Tooth.  I made my own background paper by adding rows of Recollections Paper Tape on an angle.  I like how it turned out.  I used Spellbinders Floral Ovals and Classic Ovals for the sentiment panel.  The sentiment is SU Fancy Birthday stamped in Real Red ink.  It is mounted with foam tape.  The flower is made with MFT Layered Rose and Royal Leaves dies.  The leaves are cut from SU Certainly Celery.  I added a button tied with twine to the center of the flower. The white panel is embossed with a retired SU EF.

I hope you will check out all the fabulous cards by my teammates over at Seize the Birthday and play along with us.  Remember you don't have to use Washi Tape, but it does have to be a birthday project.

Merry Monday #130 - Silent Night

This is my 2nd post today.  Please scroll down for my CSAYL card.

When I saw LeAnne's challenge of  "Silent Night" at Merry Monday, I thought this Snowy Post Card stamp by Stampendous would be perfect for this challenge. (I just got it this week at Michael's)  I stamped the image and the sentiment from Verve's Glad Tidings in SU Soft Suede ink.  I trimmed around the sentiment and added it to the bottom left corner.  The green DSP is from Graphic 45 Night Before Christmas.  The card base is  MFT Smooth White CS.

It is a fairly CAS card, but I like the way it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend.
Happy Stamping,

My Mini Album

Hi everyone, I have to warn you this post is full of photos.  It is a file folder mini album I made with photos of me and my hubby through the years.  My friend and I had made one at a class over at Stamper's Cove in Sarasota, FL and since I had the directions, I made another one.  All the papers are from Recollections Union Square 12x12 pad and all the edges have been inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  The mats are all black CS.  I have used various stamps & dies from Verve, My Favorite Things and Close to My Heart.  The print on the front and back covers and the last page is in the orignal DSP.

There is a pocked on the inside cover and has 2 photo mats with photos on both sides.

This photo shows the above page opened.

This photo also shows the next page opened.
There is a pocket on the left page with a photo mat in it.

This last photo was taken in Dec. 2013 by our daughter.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek.  I hope you weren't bored.  This is special to me and I wanted to share it.

Happy Stamping,
JoAnn

Birthday Wishes for JUGS #262 - Ombre Technique

Here is my card for this week's JUGS challenge to use the Ombre Technique.  I used shades of pink on the Heidi Swap stencil for the background.  I sponged Pretty In Pink, Regal Rose, and Strawberry Slush going down the stencil.  I really like how it turned out.  Then I stamped the SU Flower Shop image in Strawberry Slush ink, sponged Pretty In Pink ink over it, and punched it with the matching punch.  I added pearls to the center.  The leaves are from SU Stippled Blossoms stamped in Wild Wasabi ink.  The sentiment from SU Bring On The Cake is also stamped in Wild Wasabi.  I did some paper-piercing around the edges of the sentiment panel and mounted it with foam tape.  The mats are Pretty In Pink and the card base is MFT Smooth White.

I am also linking my card to Verve's October Pink Power Diva Dare.

Layout and Card for a gift

Happy Saturday everyone.  Today I have a layout and card to share that I made for my daughter's friends.
The card is made with MFT Smooth White and SU Soft Suede CS.  The DSP is from the Giddy Up 6x6 pad by Carta Bella.  I stamped MFT Cowboy at Heart and Cowgirl at Heart images on X-Press It Blending Card and colored them with Copics and Promarkers, then cut them out by hand.  I sponged some clouds on the panel with SU Soft Sky ink and added some grass cut with MFT Grassy Edges die.  The sentiment from Verve To The Moon is stamped in Soft Suede ink and cut out by hand.  I added a sentiment inside, done on my computer, which reads "on getting 'hitched'". The image panel and sentiment are mounted with foam tape.

For the layout I used SU Basic Black CS and DSP from Recollections Portobella Road.  The spurs on the cross panel are glittery.  The borders are punched with a Fiskars border punch and kind of resembles rope.  I cut the letters with the Old West cartridge on my Cricut.  The boots and horseshoes from MFT Wild, Wild West are stamped in black on some of the solid DSP and cut out by hand.  I mounted the photo and stamped images with foam tape.  The layout was placed in a black shadow box frame.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.  I appreciate your comments.

Layout for a friend

Happy Saturday friends.  I am posting a layout I made for a friend's daughter that is getting married.  This is the first layout I have done in awhile and I had fun making it.  I hope she likes it.

The DSP is from Recollections Graceful 12x12 pad and I used brown CS from my stash.  The flowers are stamped and cut with my new Heartfelt Creations Arianna Blooms stamps & dies.  I used my round needle nose craft pliers to shape the petals on each of the flowers and then inked the edges with SU Chocolate Chip ink.  I used a small sun punch for the centers.  The swirls are cut with the Fancy Foilage Die by Our Daily Bread Designs.  I cut it in half to add it behind the flowers.  The borders are cut with Spellbinders Classic Lace Border die (I think it has been discontinued).  The names and dates are cut with my Cricut using Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake Art.

I will be putting this in a scrapbook frame for her.
