Merry Monday #127

This is my card for this week's Merry Monday #127 challenge which is like tic-tac-toe.  I used the first column down, but my card actually matches the top row also, a 2 for 1. :)
My card base and image panel are MFT Smooth White and the mats are MFT Electric Red.  The DSP is from Tis' The Season by Echo Park.  The pine sprigs, stamped in Wild Wasabi, are from SU Watercolor Winter and the ornament is from SU Ornament Keepsakes.  I stamped the ornament in MFT Electric Red ink and embossed it with SU Irridescent Ice embossing powder for some sparkle, then cut it out with the matching framelits die.  This photo shows the sparkle a little better. It is very pretty in person.

I added a gold twine cord bow to the ornament and mounted it with foam tape. I paper-pierced around the panel and mounted it with foam tape also.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - Merry Christmas

It's Friday and time for another Christmas Stampin' All Year Long challenge which is to use non traditional colors.   This week our sponsor is DRS Designs and I am using their "Large Filigree Star" image.  Here is my card:
I printed the image on Silver CS, cut it out and adhered it with foam tape.  I made the star burst design with papers from an older Martha Stewart Christmas Mat Pad.  There are lots of tutorials for this technique, but to do it, you cut strips of paper 4" by 1-1/2", then cut from top right corner to bottom left corner lengthwise.  I used 4 different designs.  Adhere the strips to a cardstock base and then trim the ends off.  The mats are SU Basic Black and the card base and sentiment panel are Whisper White.  The sentiment from SU Greetings of the Season is stamped in Versamark ink and embossed with silver embossing powder.

I think the blue and silver, with the touch of black, made a pretty non-traditional card.  What do you think?

Now hop on over to Christmas Stampin All Year Long and check out the other fabulous cards by the designers.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend.

Seize The Birthday with Banners and/or Pennants

Happy Thursday my friends.  It is time for another Seize the Birthday challenge and this time we have the "Toppings" option of using "Banners and/or Pennants".  Remember it is just an option, the only requirement is to make it a birthday project.
For my card I used the SU Petite Pennants punch to make my pennants across the top,  The papers are from American Crafts Hip, Hip, Hooray 6x6 pad.  I hand-cut the mats from SU Basic Black and the card base and horizontal panel are SU Regal Rose.  The Happy letters were cut using MFT  By The Letter Upper Case dies and the birthday was cut using MFT Happy Birthday dies.  The cupcake is from MFT Sweet Birthday Wishes stamped in Mememto Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It Blending Card, colored with Copics and cut out.  It is mounted with foam tape.  I used a Sakura Gelly Roll Clear Glitter Pen to add some shiny to the cupcake icing - it shows up a little in the photo.

Now you need to check out all the fabulous cards by my fellow design team members over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will join us this week

Thanks for stopping by.   Have a great day.

May This Year Be Your Best Ever

MFTWSC194
I used some of my new MFT goodies.  The card base is Smooth White, the next layer is Grape Jelly, stamped with the new Burlap Background in Grape Jelly ink.  The circles of Smooth White and Grapesicle were cut with Circle Stax 1 and 2.  The Horizontal Stitched Strip panel and flowers (Blueprints 19) were cut from Blu Raspberry and stamped in Blu Raspberry ink with the Burlap Background and Diamonds and Dots Borders stamp.  The sentiment is from Birthday Sentiments and stamped in Grape Jelly ink on a panel cut with Blueprints 19.  I stuck the panel back in the die and cut the two top corners like a tag, punched a hole and added Baker's Twine.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Merry Monday #126 - Have a Holly Jolly Season

I have had a lot of family stuff and a doctor's appt. this week and this is the first time I have been able to make a card.  My card is for the Merry Monday #126 challenge to make the sentiment the star of your Christmas card.
For my card I used all My Favorite Things products except the DSP from Little Yellow Bicycle Making Merry 6x6 pad and the Santa hat from a Cottage Cutz die.  I added a tiny pompom at the end of the hat. The sentiment panel is cut with the Textile Rectangle die from Smooth White CS and stamped the sentiment from Grand Holiday Greetings in Electric Red ink.  I also cut two of rectangles in red and cut them half (1 lengthwise and 1 crosswise) to make the mat for the sentiment. The mats are Electric Red CS and the base is Smooth White CS.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

It's Friday and time for another challenge at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long.  This week our sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps and we are to make a "non card project". The winner will get 7 digi images of their choice from Bugaboo Stamps.

Mojo Monday 361

This is my second post today.  Please scroll down for my Merry Monday card.

I finally got to play along with the Mojo Monday #361 sketch.  This is the first time in awhile I have played along.  Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:
I used Verve Plain Jane Birthday to You for the sentiment and Verve One Person (discontinued) for the flower (one of my favorite flowers that I use a lot).  The DSP is from Pebbles Front Porch 6x6 pad.  I stamped the flower on some of the DSP twice and cut out the smaller layer and mounted with foam dimensionals, and added a Recollections Enamel Dot.  I stamped the leaves separtely on white and inked them with a couple of different inks to get the shade I wanted.  I pierced the edges of the sentiment panel and added some SU Riding Hood Red ribbon (retired).  The mats are also Riding Hood Red CS.  The card base and sentiment panel are MFT Sweet Tooth CS.

Thanks for stopping by.
Happy Stamping,
