Just Us Girls - shaving cream technique

I got to play along with the challenge at Just Us Girls this week which is using the "shaving cream technique.  There is a link to a video with this technique over on the JUGS blog.

I haven't tried this before, but it is a lot of fun, even though it is a little messy.  I love the way it turns out.  Here is my card.
My background is made with the shaving cream, SU Pretty In Pink, Crushed Curry and Lucky Limeade re-inkers on Whispher White CS. I made several sheets so will be using more in the future.  I matted this with Pretty In Pink CS and mounted it to a MFT Smooth White CS base. The flower is made with MFT's Upsy Daisy Die-namic and the Wild Wasabi leaves are cut with SU Little Leaves Sizzlet.  The sentiment is stamped in Wild Wasabi ink, punched with SU Large Oval and mounted to a punched Scalloped Oval.  I added the Pretty In Pink Satin Ribbon bow and my card was done.
I just barely got it made in time so I am off to link it up over at JUGS.

Thanks for stopping by.
Happy Stamping,
JoAnn

  2. JoAnn, this is awesome! I have to try that technique! The little leaves stands so well as a stem with your flower. I am usually tucking it in behind something- thanks for the idea of seeing it this way. Have a great weekend, dear:)

  3. What beautiful colors, JoAnn! I love this look and your flower is so pretty against it! I really need to do some cutting for a class, but this makes me want to get messy! Have a good weekend. Hope you get to spend some time with those grandkids.

  4. I can't believe you've never done that technique before, JoAnn! Your swirl colors in the pinks and greens are just perfect and have just the right amount of white! It's one of the best examples of this technique I've ever seen. I tried to do it once about nine years ago and failed miserably, but you've certainly inspired me to try again! Your card design with the big bow and beautiful bloom is fantastic over your stunning bg!! Hugs, Darnell
